People can justify the unjustifiable when their lives got better and they’re not directly affected. Saw it many times before and many times since.
Sounds like Australia, buying votes to take away people's rights by compensation with welfare money.
@@abwdagreat Sounds like every single state in the world
It's happening to my country right now. The masses are willing to vote a dictator's son as president. They keep mentioning the phrase "the fault of the father is not the fault of the son". And yet, this man was involved in a pork barrel scam, does drugs, parties while my fellow citizens are struggling after they got hit by a typhoon, still owes the country billions of pesos, I can name a lot more. I really don't understand why they want him to win, in the end, the masses will be the most affected by this... they're too blind to see it, too deaf to hear it, and have so much pride that they're not willing to listen to facts. Stressful, really.
@@abwdagreat sounds like America killing and sabotage their black citizens just out of fear of them doing okay for themselves. Every country was/is like that at some time in history.

Everyone likes to think they’d be the hero but that’s because they’re outside of the situation. The truth is that if this happened today, most people would conform for fear of being ostracized, and fear for their lives or the lives of their loved ones. Another factor is the fear of disobeying a figure of authority even if they are wrong, which is being taught to children all over the world.

Loved history in college, but this channel makes already interesting topics even more so.
I basically watch every video
So you paid for a history class in college when you could’ve learned about history on your own? Gotcha, no wonder why college grads are in debt and ignorant. Good luck getting your loans paid off.
@Pope Leo X hes referring to the liberal professors that use feelings and opinions to make students believe their version of it.

What gets always swept under the rug with the treaty of Versailles is this: Germany was forced to admit that it was the sole/main aggressor in ww1.
While in reality, the German Kaiser just gave a card Blanche to his Hungary-Austrian pal who then invaded Serbia and started ww1.
It’s weird that the Austrian part in both wars gets swept under the rug that often. Don’t get me wrong, the Germans aren’t saints; they are to blame for a lot of things. But definitely not starting ww1 (unless you blame everyone at once, because they were all too trigger happy to go to war 1914)
So true! a lot of things in that war got swept under the rug or spun to particular aims. So when i watch or read things that try to paint the Germans as “the monster” i always remember that quote about history is written by the victor, however untrue that “history” might be.
The Allies were definetely not saints
They also don't mention the part where Germany only entered after Russia offered to back Serbia. Which never made sense to me.
It was all because of Zionist interests
How is it swept under a rug? Read any history book in the last thirty years or watch any documentary, and they all state how Germany was angered and humiliated by the Treaty of Versailles, effectively creating the fuel and matchsticks for world war 2. No history source ever starts at the Germans just suddenly killing jews and randomly invading everyone.

Way more radical anti-racist types, but thats better than Nazis I suppose
The thing about the frog not realising it is being boiled alive is actually false. It will jump out, but it is still a nice analogy.
You should make a video about Angel Sanz Briz, Spanish ambassador to Hungary during WW2. Although he served under Franco’s regime in Spain, he strongly opposed the Nazis and managed to save more than 5,000 jews from being sent to Auschwitz by renting buildings for them in Budapest and placing them under Spain’s protection. A truly remarkable figure from WW2 and Holocaust history that is inexplicably unknown by most people. He is referred to as the ‘Spanish Schindler’. His story would definitely make for a great Infographics video!

So profound
Because no one gets taught proper history.
There are lots of reasons that happens. Mostly people arent aware of what is going on around them. And propaganda makes it very hard for people to know the truth. Also everyone wants to be accepted by the crowd. So if the crowd has already been won over many follow so they dont seem crazy.

As far as I know, there was one sole peacefull incident where the regime caved in. It was in 1943 I think in Hamburg, where several dozen Jewish men were about to be deported, yet the authorizies could not do so because in front of the house in the middle of the city, the men's wives were protesting their deportation. Yet these women were not arrested because they were all Arians, full blooded Germans in the eyes of the regime. And with the concept of society back then of women being the weak gender, who needed protection and being cared for, and in addition protesting in full sight of the rest of the populace of the city, all these things combined made it impossible for the regime to figure out what to do and in the end, they just gave up, freed the Jewish prisoners and let them go home.
Really, thought the Nazis would just shoot the Women and deport the husbands. They did it to other villages which defied the state!
the weakness of extreme propaganda
Also the 1936 Berlin Olympics. Several people of color won medals on the biggest international stage and Naz* Germany had to award them.
