In the 1935 Naval Pact, Britain allowed Germany to take back its navy. We should also not forget about the "pact of four" in 1933 between Germany, Italy, Great Britain and France. These countries wanted to subjugate the whole of Europe to their hegemony. If you're a Westerner, I wouldn't be surprised if you're hearing all this for the first time...

The other reason he lost in North Africa was the fact the British cracked the enigma code and would sabotage some of their shipments. They didn’t destroy all of them because they didn’t want the Germans to figure this out. They sabotaged shipments mostly from the Italian peninsula to make it look like someone in Italy was helping the Allies. This created even more distrust between the Germans and Italians.
The fact that Germany was only a nation of 80 million (including Austria and Bohemia/Moravia) against the USSR (194 Million), USA (132 million) and Great Britain (44.7 million) Germany was horrendously outnumbered. Attacking the USSR and starting the war were not Hitler's mistakes. These were decisions he was forced to make due to lack of oil and food supplies. If in 1941 Germany had waited another year as it was, it would have lost all its oil and food, leading to its economic disaster. Operation "fall Barbarossa" had to be carried out in order to reach new resources. Therefore, the main targets of the Wehrmacht were Stalingrad and Baku. Stalingrad ensured control of the northern Kakuaz region, which would allow the Wehrmacht to concentrate troops in the southern Kakuaz to capture Baku. In this sense, Stalingrad was not a mistake either, but a decision guided by problems in Germany's resources. It gave the Wehrmacht time for further conquest, the Volga held back the main Soviet resources, which hampered their industry.
One big reason the USA had such a significantly stronger industrial capacity than the other major players in the war was that the USA was across the world. The UK, France, Russia, Italy, and Austria were continuously bombed throughout the war, with industrial centers being of particular interest for strategic bombings. This caused all major powers to continuously lose production capacity while the USA never had this concern and could focus solely on production and not rebuilding.
Well, he made so many errors with his reckless decisions that cost his army during WW2. He underestimated Stalin & the Soviets and that was his downfall.
Actual reason: He was a prankster and convinced a high ranking German officer that he (the officer) was going on a suicide mission, so the officer ran to the allied lines and spilled vital information
Are you talking about Rudolph Hess? He flew West because he was trying to secure peace with England before the invasion of Soviet Union. Soviet Union was a threat to England as much as it was to Germany. He was arrested and jailed.
Major factor on why he ACTUALLY lost is that soviet union was easily able to replenish their manpower while germany was not, then germany was spread even thinner when allies invaded in the west, germany had 3 million at the start of barbarossa, soviets also had similar numbers, but the difference was that soviet numbers were only going up, while germany's numbers were only going down.
Italy was nor ready for war. Mussolini has predicted that his army will be modernized in 1945, italy has suffered in post ww1 and its agriculture was there primary economy
The germans didnt try to secure leningrad. They wanted to completely raze the city since it was the center of global communism at the time. Thats why its called "the siege of leningrad" and not "the battle of leningrad". The odds of germany achieving a quick victory in russia were still relatively high until the soviet counter offensive in the winter. And the war was still very much winable when germsn forces were sent into the caucasus. The german offensive in russia was only lost after the battle of kursk. That was when germany lost most of its armored units.
They were never high. the only way Germany could have achieced a quick victory against Russia is if they surrender. They could not have gained Moscow due to not doing Halders strategy, Stalingrad was virtually unwinnable even if Germany had more men there. Germany NEVER could have even made a victory, let alone a quick one against the soviets. Kursk was unwinnable too due to the Soviets having 5 times as many soldiers and good fortifications, and Germany usually only won battles against the soviets when they werent ready, but at Kursk they were. Germany was doomed
Some histirians say turning point was as early as August 41. The Russian resistance was much more than was anticipated and the Germans were starting to fall behind schedule. Definitely by the start of Kursk there was no way German was going to defeat the Soviet Union.
I would say Hitler's obsession with the Occult was a factor in him losing the war. But I don't think it was the single biggest factor. I think him declaring war on the US and invading the Soviet Union rank much higher than most people think.
@@NateTheGreatNDT yes, that's exactly right. It seems he became so confident because of his easy victories over Poland , France and others and because he actually wiped out the entire western Russian army down to less than 600 tanks in Moscow, destroyed the entire Russian airforce and it's economy all within 3 months. Japan had alot of success at that time as well so he probably assumed Japan could hold off the US long enough for him to finish Russia. He did not see lend lease helping Russia rebiuld so many army's and tanks. Then the Germany first policy began to wipe out the German economy hammering oil supplies and resources.. Then the US landing an entire army in Africa during Stalingrad didn't help much.

A theorised reason was using the Dunkirk encirclement as a bargaining tool to get an easier peace deal with the allies by using the trapped troops as hostages
it lost the war because the generals and other leaders who had plans and good tactics were not listened to. Germany would have had invincible technology in 1944 if it had not invaded the Soviet Union in 1941
You realize the invasion of Soviet Union was NEVER about oil or any other resource? The Germans had enough resources of their own. Germany invaded because it was becoming quite clear that the Allied powers were funding Soviet's army into a massive offensive force to take advantage of the weakened countries due to the prolonged war that Churchill the warmonger wanted so badly. Germans stationed at East Prussia could clearly see a massive force of Red Army soldiers amassing at the border in preparations for their invasion of Germany and Western Europe. The allied powers knew the full extent of Soviet Union's intention to invade and conquer the weakened Western European states and it was coming (if as Stalin had hoped) as Germany invaded Britain or not, either way they were going to invade Germany. You really oughta listen to his speeches, you would understand why he invaded Soviet Union and sent peace offers to Britain beforehand to end their unnecessary war and stand with Germany against the Soviet menace, and not some propagandist piece on RUclips who gets his information from the already questionable history told by the victors of WWII.

I think it has more to do with Russia being so big, requiring long supply lines and longer to get to the cities. Otherwise it wouldn't have taken so long and they'd be done before winter came
"They just needed to blockade stalingrad" *Wrong!* Stalingrad was not just a manufacturing hub it was always a railway hub and the germans needed to secure the caucasian railways network to have a safe oil supply. So much is wrong with this video that its almost sad to be honest.
wasn't Dresden the city firebombed and almost completely turned into ash...? Of course Hamburg was bombed but pretty sure Dresden is the more memorable one for incendiary bombing.
Quite, as they used modern day borders, comepletely destroying the point of education in that factor, as they used german aircraft for pearl harbour scene, if germany had no idea of the invasion whatsoever, and modern day borders would force the ceding of danzig to be impossible as germany didnt have konigsberg, and since russia is comepletly cut-off from russia they couldnt invade them, as belarus and ukraine stood in the way. I agree with your statement, and it really is sad.
Sad but true. Once the Russians reached Berlin and the German soldiers knew it was over, most of them made a break for the west to surrender to the Allies rather than get captured by the Russians.
They also wanted to reach the Volga river through Stalingrad which was a HUGE supply line for the soviets and would have facilitated their operation to take over the Caucasus and the oil fields there
At around six minutes they show fdr walking behind his desk in Oval Office deciding to join the war or not. Wasn’t he in a wheelchair from polio? Pretty big oversight imo

The fundamental reason why dictators or any autocratic regime never lasts is because of lack of empathy towards the human beings they rule upon. It's a lot better
Was about to comment that he did the same thing Napoleon did and it wasnt even that long ago
Basically… his paranoia cost him, dearly
Not sure how you can call one of the most powerful men an idiot, he was one of the most determined hellish leader💀
Yaaaa
Clownler was dumb for not fearing that Stalin would destroy him.
He was arrested and jailed.
pretty detailed and well done video!

Facts
They were never high. the only way Germany could have achieced a quick victory against Russia is if they surrender. They could not have gained Moscow due to not doing Halders strategy, Stalingrad was virtually unwinnable even if Germany had more men there. Germany NEVER could have even made a victory, let alone a quick one against the soviets. Kursk was unwinnable too due to the Soviets having 5 times as many soldiers and good fortifications, and Germany usually only won battles against the soviets when they werent ready, but at Kursk they were. Germany was doomed
By the time the Battle of Kursk came along, the war was already on the Soviet's side.
Some histirians say turning point was as early as August 41. The Russian resistance was much more than was anticipated and the Germans were starting to fall behind schedule. Definitely by the start of Kursk there was no way German was going to defeat the Soviet Union.
A quick victory in Russia is impossible.
I would say Hitler's obsession with the Occult was a factor in him losing the war. But I don't think it was the single biggest factor. I think him declaring war on the US and invading the Soviet Union rank much higher than most people think.
Of course, he literally decided to go against THE only 2 countries and armies that shouldn’t be F’d with.
@@NateTheGreatNDT he would have crushed Russia one on one.
@@dylonmc4323 Possibly, but he got cocky and thought he could take on both of them.

Convicted? There was no trial i was aware of.
There was no way Germany could have won the war. Taking on two rising powers and a global empire. No matter how well trained or "advanced" Germany was, Germany would lose the war sooner or later.
I believe that if Stalin wasnt General Secretary which was entirely possible and Winston Churchill along with FDR not becoming in charge of their respective countries during the war
@@deaddok999 No, Germany could not win no matter what. If another soviet leader was in charge then it would have went better for the Reds. Considering no great purge.

Not invading Britain and then invading the USSR were his major mistakes. The yanks joining in (late as always as well as taking all the credit) was just the icing on the cake.
He couldnt invade Britain without air cocer. Hitler's mistake there was bombing London instead of airfields.
We all know the real reason he lost is cause captain America took out red skull and hydra
This is canon
Spittin' facts!
No because of Indy securing the Lost Ark.
Those American flags at 2:18 are completely wrong. There were 0 Americans there, there were Brits
Maybe after I think operation compass if I'm correct but the Americans did land in north Africa If I remember correctly
I think that was later in 1942, a year or two before the north African campaign started.
@@eli8922 operation compass was british. The americans landed in operation torch.
Good spot. Thats what I thought when I noticed the American flags too. It was predominately British troops defending in North Africa aswell as Free French troops.
Idk if I’m tripping or has they uploaded video’s titled this like once a month
FFS, I'm 2 minutes in I've already come across 4 inaccuracies.
Another reason he lost was because he was drugged out of his mind. Several documentaries on RUclips about this. Drugged minds don't make good decisions...

Step 1: be rejected from art school
10:00 don’t forget to mention that between 1942 and 1945, the United States sent almost 22 million tons of foreign aid to the Soviet Union.
The overwhelming majority of this was from 1944-1945. Literally 80%. The USSR had strategically defeated the Axis by 1943. American mechanization helped speed up soviet tempo in the late war, but did not change the ultimate outcome.
Yeah, but Soviets were much better than USA
Y'all forget just how much of an impact the Australian army had on the African front, so proud 🤙👊

You forgot his mistake at Dunkirk. Halting the ground troops. At first rejecting automatic assault weapons also cost some lives.
Because he thought the UK could still be an ally
The Germans were literally out of gas and coming down from their amphetamine highs. They couldn't advance.
A theorised reason was using the Dunkirk encirclement as a bargaining tool to get an easier peace deal with the allies by using the trapped troops as hostages
What difference would it make? The allies could replace the men. And France fell anyway.
@@leonpaelinck If he hadn't halted the ground troops at Dunkirk. The war would have certainly last a lot longer and the body count much higher.
''This is why kids, never underestimate your enemies or mix emotions with power.''
it lost the war because the generals and other leaders who had plans and good tactics were not listened to. Germany would have had invincible technology in 1944 if it had not invaded the Soviet Union in 1941
And the Oil and Manpower shortages
No
If they had focused on the middle east and tried to get oil from there instead of U.S.S.R. then they would probably have done better.
But the oil in the middle east was only in its infancy
Great video and series.............I think the UK had some involvement in WWII also and a certain Mr Churchill should of had a mention
This guy loves the US so much that he even put a US flag next to the allies troops at 2:28 when they weren't even in the war

2. Attacked the USSR.
3. Two front war.

I think it has more to do with Russia being so big, requiring long supply lines and longer to get to the cities. Otherwise it wouldn't have taken so long and they'd be done before winter came
"They just needed to blockade stalingrad"
*Wrong!* Stalingrad was not just a manufacturing hub it was always a railway hub and the germans needed to secure the caucasian railways network to have a safe oil supply.
So much is wrong with this video that its almost sad to be honest.
Here to say this
wasn't Dresden the city firebombed and almost completely turned into ash...? Of course Hamburg was bombed but pretty sure Dresden is the more memorable one for incendiary bombing.
could they not just blockade the railways too
When you see the german military cross on the planes bombing "pearl harbor"
Quite, as they used modern day borders, comepletely destroying the point of education in that factor, as they used german aircraft for pearl harbour scene, if germany had no idea of the invasion whatsoever, and modern day borders would
force the ceding of danzig to be impossible as germany didnt have konigsberg, and since russia is comepletly cut-off from russia they couldnt invade them, as belarus and ukraine stood in the way.

Not too many German POWs ever made it out of Russia. They might have been better off fighting until the end. It would have had a similar fatality rate
Sad but true. Once the Russians reached Berlin and the German soldiers knew it was over, most of them made a break for the west to surrender to the Allies rather than get captured by the Russians.
Russian POWS had a worse survival rate believe it or not .The Germans basically starved them to death . Well the men anyway

Eh, it went from like 20% chance, and then went to 0.00002% chance in like a snap of a bad decision.
@@NateTheGreatNDT what bad decision? There is imo very little the Germans could have done to increase their chances.
They also wanted to reach the Volga river through Stalingrad which was a HUGE supply line for the soviets and would have facilitated their operation to take over the Caucasus and the oil fields there
Besieging Stalingrad would also have cut off the river through it

Even if he had won, it never could have lasted. Chuck Norris was born in 1940, and he built the hospital he was born in.
You forgot to mention he turned down the issuing of assault rifles to German soldiers.

LOL@the infographic featuring FDR walking without wearing glasses.
The pendulum they used on maps of the Atlantic to find ships was pretty accurate. The allies were trying to figure out how the Germans kept finding their ships. I believe through spies they found out and started using the practice themselves.

There is so much inaccuracy in this video, I don't even know where to begin.
The fundamental reason why dictators or any autocratic regime never lasts is because of lack of empathy towards the human beings they rule upon.
Let alone armies, civilizations need food, water, resources, etc. to sustain... These dictators, by nature, do not care for this.
You can only supress human beings so much... Then they either rebel or 'let it rot' if the oppressor is too powerful.
It is the fundamental nature of autocratic modals to fall...
Only those systems which empathetically connect and grow every being will ever survive and sustain. We human beings ought to learn this by now.
