First place I saw this song was a rock ballad compilation put out by T & T in 1995. The album was called "Rock Ballads Against Nuclear Terror." In the liner notes it says the song was going to be included in their next album which ended up being "Episode", but it was absent from that album.
It's such a shame that this song is essentially buried. Bonus track on the Argentinean version of Classic Variations and Themes released in 1996; I totally had to get a physical copy. I wish it was on the recently released LP but Tolkki probably doesn't have the rights to this track anymore since he signed the catalog over to what remains of Strat.
I looked into it further and there was a Japanese version of that rock ballad collection. Interesting enough that Solitude was replaced on the Japanese version with Forever. Weird.
I wonder what this song would sound like sung by André Matos. They are quite identical. "Is this André Matos doing a Statrovarius cover?" "No! It's Timo Tolkki himself singing!"

Such an underrated song.
