"Where have all the years gone". That is, in fact, a very good question. I discovered this band over two decades ago and it feels like it was yesterday.
I assisted a live Stratovarius show during their Italian tour supporting Rage during End Of All Days Tour in 1996 together with my brother . We got to the club and we were really curious to listen this unknown band from Finland opening the gig. I do not exagerate, we were maximum 70 people in front of the stage and Timo Kotipelto had no idea of where he was. He told the crowd he supposed to be playing in Florence 😂. The club was 40km far from Turin! They opened their performance with this song. At the second song we were already addicted to their neoclassical power/prog. After the show the guys were between us watching Rage on the stage. I remember that my brother approached Timo Tollki telling him "Great show! You play like Malmsteen! " and Timo "Oh..thanks a lot!" The day after the show I purchased this masterpiece album and it became one of my favourite ever. One year later they released Visions writing their name in the Metal music mainstream. After 27 years, I still do prefer this authentic demonstration of talent, taste and technical skills.
It was the year 1998 or 1999 when I first heard this song. It was the best thing ever. Now I'm listening to the chorus with a bittersweet nostalgia trying to fight tears.
I just remember my days in the school i heard the band in 1999 but i heard this song in 2001, Helloween was and is my first heavy metal band, i saw many concerts, many bands, but when you remember some things from the past, mmmm, i never had a friends or girlfriends, no matters the world the life its so beautiful so greatful, ahhh great moments whit the music and alcohol.

I believe one of the reasons for this, its because despite the fact that the instrumental is powerful and inspiring, the lyrics are melancholic, since it talks about how fast time flies by and we can get nostalgic/philosophical about it.
