They actually went directly to the music companies to find out what songs were going to be released just before the movie and got permission to use some of those so that most of the music would be current when the movie was released.
My biggest beef with this movie was that they did not utilize Katy Seagal’s singing voice, why you even have a joke that she’s this amazing singer that could hit this incredible note if you’re not even gonna let us hear her? And I was so happy you caught that at the end
Flashlight is my favorite song. I dont know if I'm looking to deep into this song but I equate it to the idea of "passing of the torch". Its clearly shown at the end of the final performance when Hailee sang the last word/note and even left to be the only one in the spotlight.
For Christmas songs, people want nostalgia, not new songs. That's why Christmas albums have few new songs, and why it took years for Mariah Carey's to catch on and finally become classic! 🎄
It's so fun watching watch these performances. I really Really REALLY hope some day you will do some breakdown of some Patsy Cline songs. Truly one of the great voices of the 20th century.

One of my college roommates had a 20+ friend group and the DRAMA! 😳 So glad I have a lot of friendly acquaintances and a few close friends. It does look awesome in movies though. In the first movie it was more like being friendly w/ teammates or in a club. Not besties with everyone. In real life boundaries, working around that many peoples' egos, feelings, and schedules sounds exhausting 😅 Really great fun, especially for a sequel.

@@gaviny7560rotten tomatoes aren't reliable when it comes to reviews tho. A lot of people there would just go with the flow and rate a movie based on how others rate it. It still comes down to what your preference are at the end of the day. The first reply was right, maybe it's not for you

You should check out Hailee Steinfeld (Emily Junk) as a solo artist, she has quite a few amazing songs I think would be fun to watch you react to
