Fun fact: although Anna Kendrick plays an "alto" in the Pitch Perfect films (because she's edgy 💅), she admitted in an interview that she actually sang the soprano harmony for almost the entire film.
I love Pitch Perfect. But every time I watch it I think about how absolutely chaotic it would be to go to a college with four acapella groups that actively compete with one another.

So fun fact: I actually go to a college where instead of like football and stuff we have theatre. We compete between 2 different sides but in total there’s 4 sides (two don’t compete cause one is for when they don’t wanna be on either side and the other is they are against all of it) but it’s so fun and silly and it gives me the biggest pitch perfect vibes
Fun Fact: Ester Dean, who plays Cynthia Rose, actually wrote S&M, and some of her background vocals are in the final cut of the song. So if that part in the riff-off sounds similar to the actual song, it's because it's the same singer!
I actually can hear her in “Lay it Down” by Lloyd too! Not necessarily her vocals but it sounds like something in her vocal range and structure. She’s a underrated artist

My favorite thing about the auditions is, they're not being performed in tandem. Meaning, several people got up on stage, by themselves, and just went "zoomzoomzoomzoom" for four minutes straight.
I LOVE how many songs Ester got to sing that she wrote for and were made famous by other singers. She is so talented OMG- her voice and how many songs she has written that are amazing...
I'm all for Pitch Perfect 2 reaction, but I cannot recommend Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist (and Zoey's Extraordinary Christmas) more. SO MUCH talent! Skylar Astin (Jesse in Pitch Perfect) is just the tip of the talent iceberg in that show.
I'm still not over the fact that Skylar was in Glee, Pitch Perfect, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and Zoey' Extraordinary playlist. At this point, the only thing he didn't participate in is Smash! (The NBC show)
You definitely need to watch the rest of the trilogy!! The journey they go on as a group is hilarious & iconic at the same time. Definitely got me through college 😁
As a choir kid, I was obsessed with this movie and lowkey still am. And Anna Kendrick was probably one of my first female crushes as an unrealized bisexual 😂❤️
Audrey actually addresses why they use the same exact songs and choreography from the last year. It's because that set got them to the finals and she wants to redeem herself from her incident. This is one of my favorite movies & I've seen it so many times I had to buy multiple DVDs because they kept getting so worn out.
Omg, I absolutely adore Skylar Astin (who plays Jesse in Pitch Perfect). His voice and his acting never ceases to amaze me. I would definitely suggest reacting to some of his performances from, if not a couple episodes from the show itself, Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist.
@@taylor3878 I personally think it was. I love this show so much! There are some goofy and questionable moments, but I think they really add to the charm. NBC does tend to cancel a lot of shows though, no matter how good or bad they are.
You should definitely react to the second one especially because Hailee Steinfeld is in it and she has a gorgeous voice! I’m very curious to see your take on it!
About The Cup Song: Anna Kendrick actually did this in audition (i think) and the directors loved it so much they put it in the movie. Anna said herself, in an interview, that she had spent a whole afternoon learning it because "[she's] a huge dork" (Her words, not mine 😅).
If you like choir singing, I think you’d love Joyful Noise. Keke Palmer, Queen Latifah, Dolly Parton, Jeremy Jordan. Truly a fun movie, but even better than the plot: the music
My biggest problem with the Pitch Perfect movies was how much time they spent on slapstick and lowest-denominator "jokes". I feel like if they hadn't written the movies like parodies they would have been so much more fun to watch. That said, I do still have a special place in my heart for the musical performances by all of the groups in all of the Pitch Perfect movies. And you should definitely watch Pitch Perfect 2, at least, because my favorite real acapella group (Pentatonix) has a cameo in the final concert mix.
I have always felt the same about the jokes.. Also, the beatboxer for Das Sound Machine used to be the beatboxer for the UW Madhatters acappella group... which made me more excited to watch it(being from Wisconsin) than seeing that the Green Bay Packers were in it.
@@danoops "Comedy" does not automatically mean "parody". Pitch Perfect is a parody of a coming-of-age/girl power acapella-themed movie the same way that Scary Movie is a parody of a horror movie. They could have easily written Pitch Perfect as a comedy without using the Scary Movie formula. Hell, they could have made it a straight up rom-com and it would have been more fun to watch. The constant innuendo, scatological "humor", and "jokes" that insulted everyone from blondes to lesbians were what made it unenjoyable. Every time it started to get a little bit good, suddenly SEX JOKE. That's just lazy writing.
@@shiroikami2690 hahah ok whatever. it's a comedy, you're taking it way too serious. I've taken film classes too, I get what you're saying, it's not your brand of humor. if it's not your type of humor, why are you watching a reaction to it? people that watch reaction videos to criticize it is so silly to me
Hannah I would love if you’d react to a movie like Les Mis or Into the Woods where a good portion of the vocals are recorded live and we get to see the celebrities really showing off what they can do.
I agree that it would be cool, but want to point out that it's not necessarily accurate to say "the celebrities really showing off what they can do". Filming like a dozen takes at weird hours and extremely dehydrated because you need to look ripped doesn't really make for the best reflection of skill. Sideways on yt has a good video on Les Mis and talks about it if you were interested!
I love this movie. One of my favorites. My least favorite thing is Chloe getting bass notes. Not because it’s impossible (even though it is) but the entire movie is about a group of women that we want to win at the end of the movie. They mention in the beginning that women haven’t done as well because they can’t sing the low notes that round out the arrangement etc. This movie should have been about them winning as themselves. Not because one of them gets crazy low bass. That part bothers me. But the rest is perfection.
It would be good if it was pointed out that the trebelmakers have the same problem due to a lack of high notes! I'd love if the solution for either group was to bring on a trans singer who could hit the low or high notes the cis people in the group weren't able to. But it was 2012, they'd never have done that.
one thing that bothers me about pitch perfect even thought its one of my favorite franchises(other than the obvious propaganda in 3) is the fact that during most of the bellas arrangements after movie one you can hear a bass voice even if it shows chloe singing soprano parts/lead
Chloe: I’m not leaving until you sing. Hannah: (deadpan) That’s.. coercive Actually spit out my coffee 😂 Hannah always keeping it real, and entertaining! Love your videos.
so when you talked about the lesbian thing it actually killed me, I was on a team working for my university's orientation program. we had like 18 people on the team? and there were literally two straight people. we had people of every sexuality and gender identity on that team and it was so gay and great. orientation is also fruity!
Rebel Wilson’s voice IS amazing- I would recommend listening to her live performance of “Poor Unfortunate Souls,” she’s still singing in character but it shows off her talent sooo well!
OMG I'm so glad you've covered Pitch Perfect, PLEASE do 2 & 3!! Rebel has sung outside of Pitch Perfect and on talk shows (hilarious), the first proper kinda one that came to mind is her singing as Ursula from The Little Mermaid live
Can we just appreciate how Hannah always comes up with such creative segues into sponsor segments? So clever, LOVE your content, Hannah, and I think your information and commentary are so insightful and entertaining. As a fellow singer, I love watching your videos 😊
I'm Australian, and it's really rare that I hear a foreigner try to imitate our accent without cringing, but yours was 100% believable. Probably the best Australian accent I've heard any foreigner produce. Well done :) Oh, and you should definitely watch Pitch Perfect 2.
omg the only good Aussie accent imitation I've heard. My step sister who has been to Australian 3 times and has lived with me and my mum (both Aussies) for 5 years, still sounds like a really bad British accent when she tries to do an Australian one.
As good as the Bella's final performance was, I always lean towards the Treblemakers, because they are just so much FUN. Like, you can visibly see how much fun they are having and it makes you have fun too.
I like the treblemakers performance better, but for the story there is a reason that that performance loses. It's a step down technically from their other performances you can tell they lost their lead, the dance is less intensive and the backing parts are more simple (plus they picked less 'cool' songs). Then the bellas expanded on their performances in multiple ways, actual new music, stepped up choreography and they kept their standard tight arrangements.
I love Skylar Astin (Jesse). He has such an amazing voice. If you haven't yet, I definitely recommend Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist. It was such a good show!
Your Australian accent was almost there! Us aussies have hard accents to replicate well! Your pronounciation of the R's was great, but you were leaning toward New Zealander haha The way to avoid the New Zealand sound is the way you pronounce the first E in words like better. For new zealanders this E comes out like an I Eg. Better becomes bit-ah but the australians keep the eh, Beh-tah As a result new zealander accents sound a bit more compressed, whilst Australian accents sound wider Hope this helps! PS theyre meant to look like flight attendants
@@melli8052 there was a big controversy when Dear Evan Hansen came out about Ben Platt being too old to play the role since he was like 27 or 28 at the time trying to portray a high schooler.
@@AaronTuckerJrand tbh I don’t personally think he played the role as well as others could. I’ve seen DEH on broadway and the actor that portrayed him did a fantastic job at playing Evan, it felt real. But Ben felt…. Forced
This is one of my #1 comfort movies so I'm thrilled to see you do a video about it. Sure, it's got problems. There's definitely some jokes that wouldn't make it past the cutting room nowadays. But, damn, the music is so good. Every time I watch the finale songs I have the biggest grin on my face, just like you. Benji is just such a precious bean and I love how Jesse is just 100% ride or die for him right away. You should totally watch and do a video for Pitch Perfect 2. It's not quite as good, some of the songs just don't have the same "ooomph" that they should, but there are still some laugh out loud moments. I can't hear "We Belong" without thinking of it, for sure!
I can’t stop thinking about the colour pallet for this episode. Your hair goes so beautifully with your eye colour, and contracts so well with your top that everything is both eye catching yet harmonious at the same time. It makes me so content
I remember being OBSESSED with this movie, the chokehold the cup song had on everyone when this came out! I would LOVE to see PP2! I remember seeing PP3 and it being... ok, pretty bad but Pitch Perfect 2 is a must watch!
Tbh the Pitch Perfect movies have moved towards this territory of pure parody mixed with a capella singing and I honestly don't hate it. In fact the third movie I loved quite a lot, only issue for me is no Bechloe has manifested yet
Fun fact: for my grade 9 drama class, my group thought it was a good idea to act out this movie as a performance. We even learned the final dance and lip-synced to the words. Needless to say, we were not the popular kids.
THIS MOVIE WAS 10 YEARS AGO?! Tf? Also as an Aussie, your accent is one of the most convincing I’ve ever heard. It’s an insanely hard accent to do well, and we have a lot of slight differences too depending on where you’re from. I don’t know how to give tips to help you improve but I’d give you a solid 8/10 👍🏻❤️
Yes to watching Pitch Perfect 2. Please react to Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist! Jesse (Skylar Astin) is one of the main characters and has some amazing songs throughout the show! Also Alex Newell is in it (you know them from Glee) and they have some great songs too!
Please do the other two movies! Also, Zoeys extraordinary playlist is such a good show and skylar astin from pitch perfect sings so many great songs in it. It would be a fun react to watch :)
This video just reminded me of why I love Pitch Perfect so much. The music, characters, humor..and their final mashup is sooo good. I can’t wait for you to react to the second one! Obviously the first is the best, but I did enjoy that one too
If you havent already, id suggest watching the cast sing Beyonce's Love On Top. Kelley Jakle and Shelley Regner (girls who played Jessica and Ashley) stand out and Kelleys voice is amazing
I have never clicked on a notification so fast in all my life, I love the pitch perfect trilogy, I have the DVDs, so seeing Hannah finally reacting to the first one has literally made my day 😍😍
This slayed omg.. tip for Aussie accent: you’ve been told that we use an “eh” or “ee” sound for most of our vowel words like catch and Emma but relax ur vowels a bit more. They don’t need to be so wide!
I think you should react to A Star is Born since the vocals were filmed and recorded live on set for the final mixes. It would be interesting to get your perspective on that.
"Only 1 lesbian? More like 2 or 3" yeah, Beca and Chloe definitely have some chemistry, same goes for Ashley and Jessica (I'm pretty sure that's their names😂) I've seen a brilliant video compiling some of these kinds of moments, it's absolutely hilarious!
Speaking as someone in an all female a cappella group? We have one token straight in a group of 16 at this time. Most of us are bi and not fully gay, but this ratio is absolutely off
Surprised that you didn’t mention that the actress/singer/songwriter playing Cynthia Rose actually wrote the audition song - Since You’ve Been Gone - that she then had to sing in the audition. I love the irony of it all. ♥️
If you want to hear all the Bella’s I would look up “Love on Top” the cover that was made by all of the girls in all 3 of the movies. You can really hear their raw talent there.
I definitely would love to see you react to the second one. And I agree with the other people that have said also check out Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist! Skylar Astin is SO goddamn good in that show. I'd also love if you reacted to a specific song he sings from another show (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend...another you should definitely check out), but it's called "I Hate Everything But You"...it's a good fucking time, lmao
Fun fact: Magic used to be my 5am pump up song when I played volleyball in college. It always made me happy walking to the gym. Hannah- could you please do Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist?! Skylar Astin (Jesse) is in it along with Alex Newall and Lauren Graham. It is so good! Ps. As always, you’re awesome just like your videos!
Can't believe you didn't react to the magical harmonies from the shower scene, I would kill for a full version of Beca and Chloe singing titanium, it's a crime there wasn't one on the soundtrack. Edit:damn I must of zoned out or something the first time I watched this but she did react to it 😂
I'm a New Zealander, not Australian, but I can comfortably say that your accent totally threw me off guard because it was actually really good! It wasn't overly exaggerated like most people do :D
You should 100% watch the second movie, you get to see a bit more of the Bellas' sound and we also get to see some decent character development in most of the girls :)
It’s actually somewhat possible to create an arrangement on the spot if you have a lot of practice and experience in spontaneous harmonising as a group. Cimorelli did that multiple times in musical challenges.
As someone who writes Pitch Perfect fanfictions, I am so happy you reacted to my favorite movie of all time. I think you'll enjoy the other two movies as well.
Hannah, I am a 61 year old male and have also referred to myself as a musical whore! I have sang, played guitar, bass and trombone since middle school. I have never limited myself to one style of music. I love jazz and anything with rich harmonies. It’s nice to see someone have the same emotions towards the pitch perfect performances as I do! My wife is going to buy all 3 pitch perfect cds for a Christmas present for me. I can hardly wait! You have beautiful voice yourself just from what you’ve sang on this video . I need to search for more entries where you sing more. Keep the musical flame burning. Phil Paris ( North Ga.).
my favorite fun fact about ester dean is that she got to sing S&M during the riff-off and she actually wrote it with rihanna and she was the background vocals for superbass
i'm in a co-ed acapella group at my college and it's literally the best decision i've ever made it's so much fun! also there's an all-guys acapella group on campus too and they're just like the treblemakers from the vocals to the choreo/vibes it's crazy
13:24 Yeah I went through a strong voice change (I am a woman btw) which started before puperty and in second class I couldn't sing soprano anymore. Fast forward to two years ago, I changed doctor and read through my documents as I was bringing them to my new doc and I stumbled upon a note. I had to get all my tonsils removed as a child and the note said, they slipped and cut in to my vocal chords quite a bit....I always wonder if my voice would be different (and no, no one told my parents or I that they had an accident whilst operating but my throat being sore for longer that it should and that speaking was a pain in the ass for quite a while was a side effect of the operation...)
In case u wanna hear all of them sing again. watch the "love on top" cover. Amazing harmonies and u can hear rebel wilson again 😉 I just love it ❤️❤️❤️
omggg please do all three!!! also you get a better sense of rebel’s voice in the later movies, specifically i think the third one is pretty good for showcasing hers!
Now you have to go and watch PP 2. Personally I think Pitch Perfect 2 is the best song wise. PP 3 is nice song wise and plot wise but it didn't wow me that much, except for the riff off. PP 2 has probably the best riff off to date, it's fantastic mainly because Das Sound Machine is incredible. But there's also some really fun cameos in the movie and we get a new Bella with an amazing voice. I have a soft spot for Pitch Perfect 2, I'll admit
Hey Hannah! Before I totally lost my voice during the second year of my Bachelor's voice degree to VCD I could randomly hit super low notes and I'm a soprano lol Took a loooong time and lots of vocal therapy but I healed and I'm performing my dreams but yeah...super crazy!
Love the trilogy, like aca-obsessed (lol). Fun fact, the Trebles weren't really dancers, all of em were singers and the choreographer tried his best to make them all look and dance great with pretty easy steps and just hyped them up. (Loved watching the bts of the movies) Would love for you to react on the Pitch Perfect 2 and 3 :D
I would love to see your Pitch Perfect 2 reaction! It's basically now the Bellas do too much during their performances and can't keep up so they end up going back to the basics and their final performance in the movie is so heartwarming and sweet!
The joke about the perfect girl being a Flight Attendant is intended bc they're singing "I saw the signs and it opened up my eyes, I saw the signs!", it's like they're explaining the instructions to the audience!
A+ editing and effects! Great job Vieve! Yes! Watch the rest of the Pitch Perfect movies! Hallie Steinfeld is in the second one. Not only is she a great singer but she is adorable AF
7:05 saying they sound pretty together. Yes I agree, but I think it's more so Chloe's skill (in the movie) than Beca's. I believe Chloe is matching her pitch, so I feel she is seen to be a bit more impressive... personally.
Fun fact: although Anna Kendrick plays an "alto" in the Pitch Perfect films (because she's edgy 💅), she admitted in an interview that she actually sang the soprano harmony for almost the entire film.
Yeah, the sheet music for the films placed her as soprano.
She was Cinderella in Into the woods so kinda make sense,
I found that ironic too, why was Beca an alto when she can sing crazy high?
I love her voice
Yes I heard this!! The only two times we hear her singing alto is when they originally perform ‘turn the beat around’ and the Titanium duet
Of course she's a soprano

Omg, I absolutely adore Skylar Astin (who plays Jesse in Pitch Perfect). His voice and his acting never ceases to amaze me. I would definitely suggest reacting to some of his performances from, if not a couple episodes from the show itself, Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist.
Which leads to me recommending songs from Crazy Ex-Girlfriend again.
I love him in Spring Awakening!!
was this show even good? watched 1 eps of it. and then i think i heard it got canceled? is it worth the watch?
@@amya8316 me too!
Hailee's character is not good though 😭
@@killyourdarlings1305 I didn’t mind Emily I found her kinda funnt
@@killyourdarlings1305 it was just the riff off in the second movie okay 😭😭
@@athuh1082 I liked that one
She sounded better in 3 even tho that movie sucked ass
About The Cup Song: Anna Kendrick actually did this in audition (i think) and the directors loved it so much they put it in the movie. Anna said herself, in an interview, that she had spent a whole afternoon learning it because "[she's] a huge dork" (Her words, not mine 😅).
If you like choir singing, I think you’d love Joyful Noise. Keke Palmer, Queen Latifah, Dolly Parton, Jeremy Jordan. Truly a fun movie, but even better than the plot: the music
Yes, I've been wanting her to react to Joyful Noise!
Yes I agree, it's would be very nice to see Hannah react to Joyful noise!
I second this!!!
Yessss
Yes!! I love that movie!!
Also, the beatboxer for Das Sound Machine used to be the beatboxer for the UW Madhatters acappella group... which made me more excited to watch it(being from Wisconsin) than seeing that the Green Bay Packers were in it.
well said!! you totally summed up what i don’t like about these movies. the performances are the only parts i really like tbh
it's a comedy bruh, and yes, it's a parody. there are documentaries about acapella that you can watch instead then
@@danoops "Comedy" does not automatically mean "parody".
I agree it would be so good for Hannah to react to Into the woods
I agree that it would be cool, but want to point out that it's not necessarily accurate to say "the celebrities really showing off what they can do". Filming like a dozen takes at weird hours and extremely dehydrated because you need to look ripped doesn't really make for the best reflection of skill. Sideways on yt has a good video on Les Mis and talks about it if you were interested!
Wooo into the woods! That would be such a good reaction!
Or in the case of Les Mis, what they can’t do😂
I loveeeeee Les Mis “On My Own” was my go to scream sing song 😅
Ngl i feel like they just wanted it to be funny
would u say… PITCH perfection???🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏👹👹👹👹👹

Actually spit out my coffee 😂 Hannah always keeping it real, and entertaining! Love your videos.
I can’t wait for you to watch PP2! The Riff-Off, Cups reprisal, boot camp medley, and the finale songs 😳
so when you talked about the lesbian thing it actually killed me, I was on a team working for my university's orientation program. we had like 18 people on the team? and there were literally two straight people. we had people of every sexuality and gender identity on that team and it was so gay and great. orientation is also fruity!

Rebel Wilson’s voice IS amazing- I would recommend listening to her live performance of “Poor Unfortunate Souls,” she’s still singing in character but it shows off her talent sooo well!
If you wanna hear Rebel Wilson's actual voice, she did a movie called Isn't It Romantic where she sings a good bit. She's an amazing singer
Since this a new musical ish movie with her as main character has come out, it's called "senior year"!!
You can even listen to the Pitch Perfect X UNICEF - Love On Top and hear Rebel singing without the comedy. She’s got a really good voice
Didn't she also sing in Cats
OMG I'm so glad you've covered Pitch Perfect, PLEASE do 2 & 3!! Rebel has sung outside of Pitch Perfect and on talk shows (hilarious), the first proper kinda one that came to mind is her singing as Ursula from The Little Mermaid live
Your Aussie accent is actually really good a lot better than I’ve heard other Americans do
was going to say the same. i would pick it up that it was a fake accent, but it’s better than some famous actors
I thought exactly the same! Kinda gave me some kiwi vibes too
@@jorjatelford yes i thought the same!
considering how much people butcher our accent she did amazing giving it an actual go
@@liza6775 yesssss
Can we just appreciate how Hannah always comes up with such creative segues into sponsor segments? So clever, LOVE your content, Hannah, and I think your information and commentary are so insightful and entertaining. As a fellow singer, I love watching your videos 😊
I'm Australian, and it's really rare that I hear a foreigner try to imitate our accent without cringing, but yours was 100% believable. Probably the best Australian accent I've heard any foreigner produce. Well done :) Oh, and you should definitely watch Pitch Perfect 2.
Fr especially when they say “naur” makes me cringe so hard
Literally, and also when they think they’re doing Aussie but it’s kiwi 😬 Hannah did a great job 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
A bit kiwi but pretty good!
omg the only good Aussie accent imitation I've heard. My step sister who has been to Australian 3 times and has lived with me and my mum (both Aussies) for 5 years, still sounds like a really bad British accent when she tries to do an Australian one.
imo the way she said "crystal meth" was bordering on kiwi, but overall it was pretty good!
You should watch all three, because they’re all really different and they do a lot of cool stuff with their songs.
YESSSS PLSSS
As someone who loves pitch perfect and has seen it for 30+ times, i loved this
I love Skylar Astin (Jesse). He has such an amazing voice. If you haven't yet, I definitely recommend Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist. It was such a good show!
I agree completely! I love all of his songs in that show.
Skylar Astin actually went to broadway with Lea Michelle and Jonathan Groff on Spring Awakening! That's why he's so good!
Please!! This show is the best!!
Your Australian accent was almost there! Us aussies have hard accents to replicate well!
Your pronounciation of the R's was great, but you were leaning toward New Zealander haha
The way to avoid the New Zealand sound is the way you pronounce the first E in words like better.
For new zealanders this E comes out like an I
Eg. Better becomes bit-ah
but the australians keep the eh, Beh-tah
As a result new zealander accents sound a bit more compressed, whilst Australian accents sound wider
Hope this helps!
PS theyre meant to look like flight attendants
Idk if it was a good accent but i feel like it was a perfect rebel wilson impression lol
Very true, Hannah’s was a little kiwi but seriously not to bad
@@madsreicher6651 yeah! Just a little tweaking and she'd be able to do both NZ and Aussie with no issues!

@@AaronTuckerJr i don‘t, please explain…
It makes me so content
just facts 💗
I remember being OBSESSED with this movie, the chokehold the cup song had on everyone when this came out! I would LOVE to see PP2! I remember seeing PP3 and it being... ok, pretty bad but Pitch Perfect 2 is a must watch!
Tbh the Pitch Perfect movies have moved towards this territory of pure parody mixed with a capella singing and I honestly don't hate it. In fact the third movie I loved quite a lot, only issue for me is no Bechloe has manifested yet
I actually loved the third more than the second
I feel like the 3rd was made for the cast and no one else. And I respect that
Fun fact: for my grade 9 drama class, my group thought it was a good idea to act out this movie as a performance. We even learned the final dance and lip-synced to the words.
Needless to say, we were not the popular kids.
What did the vomit scenes look like? 😂
But you were definitely the cool kids, at least by court of internet opinion
In my school, the drama kids ruled the school XD The real cool kids know where it's at
THIS MOVIE WAS 10 YEARS AGO?!
Yes to Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist! Such a great show!
Please do the other two movies! Also, Zoeys extraordinary playlist is such a good show and skylar astin from pitch perfect sings so many great songs in it. It would be a fun react to watch :)

Yess omg
Yes she should totally react to ZEP!! It’s so fricken good Hannah would love it

This video just reminded me of why I love Pitch Perfect so much. The music, characters, humor..and their final mashup is sooo good. I can’t wait for you to react to the second one! Obviously the first is the best, but I did enjoy that one too
I LOVE how Ben Platt got the lead in Dear Evan Hansen bc it showed how much I’d Benji’s voice they did not use. He’s SO GOOD.
I love they had Ester Dean singing with Stacey on a song Ester wrote!! And it really does fit their characters in the movie too
If you havent already, id suggest watching the cast sing Beyonce's Love On Top. Kelley Jakle and Shelley Regner (girls who played Jessica and Ashley) stand out and Kelleys voice is amazing
I have never clicked on a notification so fast in all my life, I love the pitch perfect trilogy, I have the DVDs, so seeing Hannah finally reacting to the first one has literally made my day 😍😍
Me too
This slayed omg.. tip for Aussie accent: you’ve been told that we use an “eh” or “ee” sound for most of our vowel words like catch and Emma but relax ur vowels a bit more. They don’t need to be so wide!
As an Australian, I have to say that Hannah has one of the best Australian accents there is on RUclips. It's Fantaastic

@@loraleiholland2698 well, that sounds about right for the Bellas as well XD

Surprised that you didn’t mention that the actress/singer/songwriter playing Cynthia Rose actually wrote the audition song - Since You’ve Been Gone - that she then had to sing in the audition. I love the irony of it all. ♥️
I’m not sure if she wrote that one
The song is actually by Max Martin. Song writer legend.
She wrote S&M, the song in the riff off.
She didn't write since you been gone
If you want to hear all the Bella’s I would look up “Love on Top” the cover that was made by all of the girls in all 3 of the movies. You can really hear their raw talent there.
I definitely would love to see you react to the second one. And I agree with the other people that have said also check out Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist! Skylar Astin is SO goddamn good in that show. I'd also love if you reacted to a specific song he sings from another show (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend...another you should definitely check out), but it's called "I Hate Everything But You"...it's a good fucking time, lmao
EVEN MORE EXAMPLES
Fun fact! Ester Dean was actually the one who wrote S&M for Rihanna and she got permission to sing it in this movie
Your energy is so pure and wholesome I can't help but smile ahhhhh
Fun fact: Magic used to be my 5am pump up song when I played volleyball in college. It always made me happy walking to the gym. Hannah- could you please do Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist?! Skylar Astin (Jesse) is in it along with Alex Newall and Lauren Graham. It is so good!
Ps. As always, you’re awesome just like your videos!
Can't believe you didn't react to the magical harmonies from the shower scene, I would kill for a full version of Beca and Chloe singing titanium, it's a crime there wasn't one on the soundtrack.
Edit:damn I must of zoned out or something the first time I watched this but she did react to it 😂
Absolutely!
7:00 she did tho?🤔
I'm a New Zealander, not Australian, but I can comfortably say that your accent totally threw me off guard because it was actually really good! It wasn't overly exaggerated like most people do :D
I love the accapella version of "just the way you are", more than the original version
Love the cimfam!!

As a Becca, having the first thing I hear be "Becca what do you think you can do you're like four feet eight" felt like a personal attack.😂
Hannah Bayles and Pitch Perfect? What have I done to deserve this incredible video?
this film just makes me smile every (proper) performance is just so well done, the harmonies are incredible, i love the mashups i just love it
my favorite fun fact about ester dean is that she got to sing S&M during the riff-off and she actually wrote it with rihanna and she was the background vocals for superbass
you should definitely do the entire trilogy!! love the reactions btw
i'm in a co-ed acapella group at my college and it's literally the best decision i've ever made it's so much fun! also there's an all-guys acapella group on campus too and they're just like the treblemakers from the vocals to the choreo/vibes it's crazy
Amazing harmonies and u can hear rebel wilson again 😉 I just love it ❤️❤️❤️
omggg please do all three!!! also you get a better sense of rebel’s voice in the later movies, specifically i think the third one is pretty good for showcasing hers!
the fact that pitch perfect 2 basically starts w “becca and jesse broke up” and it’s never spoken about again was so heartbreaking to me LMAO
Nah bc the starting moments of ‘since you’ve been gone’ are iconic
Now you have to go and watch PP 2. Personally I think Pitch Perfect 2 is the best song wise. PP 3 is nice song wise and plot wise but it didn't wow me that much, except for the riff off. PP 2 has probably the best riff off to date, it's fantastic mainly because Das Sound Machine is incredible. But there's also some really fun cameos in the movie and we get a new Bella with an amazing voice. I have a soft spot for Pitch Perfect 2, I'll admit
22:21 if you want to hear more of this actor singing I highly recommend Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist. It had some amazing singing in it
Hey Hannah! Before I totally lost my voice during the second year of my Bachelor's voice degree to VCD I could randomly hit super low notes and I'm a soprano lol
Took a loooong time and lots of vocal therapy but I healed and I'm performing my dreams but yeah...super crazy!
Absolute LOVE this trilogy. Oh yes, the way I was hoping for this. Yessss!!!
It’s been 10 years and I still have to sing ‘Give Me Everything (Tonight)’ exactly like Amy whenever the song comes on 😂 it is seared into my memory
The joke about the perfect girl being a Flight Attendant is intended bc they're singing "I saw the signs and it opened up my eyes, I saw the signs!", it's like they're explaining the instructions to the audience!
I love the fact that during the riff off Ester Dean is singing S&M, a song she wrote for Rhianna.
This is my anxiety comfort trilogy and I know it literally word for word… NEVER NOTICED THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT GESTURES!!
A+ editing and effects! Great job Vieve!
Yes! Watch the rest of the Pitch Perfect movies! Hallie Steinfeld is in the second one. Not only is she a great singer but she is adorable AF
Yeah that about sums her up.
7:05 saying they sound pretty together. Yes I agree, but I think it's more so Chloe's skill (in the movie) than Beca's. I believe Chloe is matching her pitch, so I feel she is seen to be a bit more impressive... personally.
