This guys knowledge when it comes to mixing is truly on another level. I will say though, when I got to the end I lost all hope. So much took place in the last 90 seconds my brain lost signal lol. Might have to watch it like 10 times to really understand it.
Max , I don't wanna lie , u best bro, and another you helping us much as coming Producers , I appreciate your work, this is encouragement, that me Superdreamer
Great video as always. For the Adlibs pan effect, you used PanOMatic, which is nice, but I always use your FLTips Lords vol.1 Panda preset (maybe it have another name with Mix Elite now), dunno if it's based on PanOMatic, but it's more intuitive and easy to use, just 2 knobs and you can get any pan effect you want. This pack also includes the Sidechain Reverb effect, I didn't know you can change the reverb source in Patcher for that, I learn something new in every video.
Great content as always and really informative. I watched a similar vocal mixing video by a producer called goldinum beats that was really helpful. Fl tips and goldinum beats are my go to producers for in depth tutorials. Keep up the great work.
To do this you must have two separate recordings, one for the left and one for the right bro. The slight pitch variation between the two recordings adds a natural feel and helps to avoid phase issues. Overall, this enhances the stereo depth of the mix. However, if you only have one background vocals recording, you can add stereo depth to the track without panning it, as shown in the video.
For those confused or deterred because the vocals are off beat, and I mean this with all respect, you need to expand your knowledge of music. Whether it's to your taste or not, many artists do this. From Billy Woods to Breeze Brewin, to even more well known rappers like MF Doom, Kool Keith and E-40, there's a long history of MCs that hone that style of delivery. If you limit yourself to commercial artists you'll forever be stuck in a narrow lane of understanding the potential of a vocalist. Arm yourself with knowledge, not plugins.
Idk the vocals still suck to me. Or his verse sucked. I kinda expected a little more small details to make the vocals stand out leading up to the sidechain of the song. Idk. I’m not impressed by this honestly is jsut makes me sadder bc the vocals were wack and the mix you did tbh didn’t really make it better unless his delivery just wasn’t good or his few bars just didn’t hit.
It’s just his voice and cringe lyrics. It sounds a million times better if you compare the finalized mix to the raw vocals at the start, because you can hear the higher notes in his singing become more cohesive and interesting. What else could have been added to make his voice better?
I've learned a lot from this channel and have improved a lot thanks

The gain knob in Fruity Limiter is actually input gain, so turning it up increases the compression
Not when in compression mode, then it changes to act as post gain. You can see the full signal path in the fruity limiter manual
got lost with the sidechain at the end but Thanks a lot for sharing your knolled!
Perfect tutorials for me, thank you very much.😊👌

The vocals are off beat lol
it’s not off beat just not following the drums more the melody
@@Nick-fr1wb nah it’s off beat gang 😂
overall its great but to attain whatnthey so called musicality of the song, vox needs to move a little forward so it does not sound robotic.
