Can We Get It Done? Krash Fab Bumper and Slider Install

- There is nothing like squeezing in a few projects at the last minute and this was no exception to the normal assumption, "It will just take a few hours".
Mason's JKU really needed rock sliders and a smaller profile front bumper, which we ordered from Krash Fab earlier in the summer. Then Chuck went to the Ultimate Adventure, time flew by, and here we are - last minute before Trail Hero.
The installs actually went pretty well, the hard parts were self-inflicted, mostly due to waiting until the last minute to complete this project.
Chuck started the bumper install on Saturday morning, the day we were supposed to leave our house and check in to the Sand Hollow Resort house by the park. At this point, we still had nothing packed or ready to move to this other house, Chuck had just barely finished his Jeep up (it still needed a nut and bolt check), and he still needed to install the front bumper and prep for the rock sliders to be welded on the JKU Sunday morning.
So, we could have prepped a little better and bought a few more cutting disks, but overall Chuck had everything cut off pretty fast and the bumper install was easier than expected.
The rock slider install went much better after we figured out there was actually a driver and passenger side to the sliders. Once we had them flipped around properly they welded on perfectly. Thank you, Derek and Pat!
One of the reasons we hustled to have this all done was so that Mason could attend the Krash Crew Trail Ride on Sunday evening. The paint may have not been perfect (or dry), but all the last-minute effort feels worth it when you get on the trail.
We had a fun sunset run up Triple 7's as our pre-Trail Hero run.

Custom powder coating
Pretty much a powdercoat shop! 🤣
Looks great! What brand was the old bumper?
It is a Krash Fab crawler bumper. It tucks way up and gives you a ton of clearance. We are big fans of his design.
