As a boxer , it's easy to see number 3 coming if ur trained. There's enough time for me to sidestep and land an uppercut , but of course you'd duck in time and then your too busy trying to get fast hits on me too see a right hook coming , it hits u but u don't get knocked out. Then u move back and manage to hit a crescent kick as I'm in the position to be hit by it. But it gets blocked as my arms are up and that small opening I cause an explosive outburst and hit an uppercut while ur not in ur stance after thst kick yet. And then that's a ko , if not then u have an uppercut + a forward cross coming.
@@Dave-ishVibes It works really well because most boxers have never faced an opponent who closes distance as fast as this. Also it works really well when you step back and your opponent starts hopping towards you.
@@lukasmuursepp2267 your right ,sorry if it seemed like I was disregarding ur opinion , Im talking about if boxers are experienced with dealing w karate practitioners , but if they aren't then yes , it's super effective against them
god combo when mastered in kumite or karate: punch (with back hand) then punch with your front hand and at the same time you make a step forward, than when you switched from right forward to left forward or vice versa you do another back hand punch and that all really fast
So a 1-2 and then a switch to south paw for a left cross? No hooks just straights? Switching you feet and crossing them is risky and I say this as a left who stance switches in Muay Thai
These would definitely work on someone not expecting them. But to take out another martial artist, or someone exceptionally tough.. Combinations are key.
There was not a lot of lethality there. Speed doesn’t = lethality. It’s good for Gap closing and scoring “ippon” at best. Plus it was a blitz punch with rare arm aka “gyaku zuki”. Hopefully this inspires you to take some classes since you seem to like this.

In Okinawan karate, and Kyokushin we barely had high kicks or even any high kicks, the kicks were mostly low kicks and back kicks. The most effective kicks are the low kicks. Shotokan is influenced by Savate and Chinese martial arts along with traditional karate which had high kicks that made karate famous today

In a kickboxing fight the karate punch is so ineffective because it leaves you fully open. Easy showing off against a bag. If you spin like that once, you know the second time youll get lowkicked to the knee and maybe never walk again. Its nice to show off, not to actually do damage imo
Great video I think they all would be effective, it’d be tricky with the lunging punch tho given it’s people’s first reaction to evade when you come at them that fast but it’s still very viable tho I like it.
Practice it an' have a high degree of success in some kinda live sparring an' keep upping da stakes; they'll b there 4 ya! I've landed, in da past, shotokan punches in boxing sparring; felt bold enough 2 try 'em!

Hmm, depends on the situation really. Ideally, I was told by my dad who used to teach Karate but isn’t anymore since he’s in the Airforce, that I shouldn’t be using too much kicks in a street fight, especially such kick moves like the Ushiro-Mawashi. Kicks still should be used in a street fight, only when necessary, of course. Sometimes a street fight could occur on concrete, grass, or smooth pavement; that’s why kicks aren’t really ideal for a street fight since it really depends on where you are fighting. 1. Gyaku-Zuki
2. Ushiro-Mawashi
3. Kizami & Gyaku-Zuki

Yes
Right
kizami gyaku my beloved, takes anyone down
How do you know this
He does the same three moves in every video, but still he does it flawlessly!

this is correct i go to karate and these are the best examples of kicks and punches we do
That hook kick was nice
As long as both accuracy AND precision go with another variable- power. All three perfected and you become unstoppable at that point
That high hook kick is crazy
I do karate and yeah nice moves

I’ve lost too many fights to that reverse punch. I’ve now incorporated it completely into my style because of it.

Yes. As long as timing and precision is there. That last one is a soul snatcher.
The 1st one is amazing at putting pressure and forcing something to happen and almost always results in you getting a good strike
I like the number 1
damn bro has made progress
That first kick manches with the bass
I like the blitz punch
The first punch just looked goofy, but the kick was a practical move with tons of power behind it, and the other punch was solid enough

That jab cross was effective and easy quick return but the spinning hook kick is hella powerful
That lunging forward punch is nice, really aggressive covering the ground and can take someone off guard 👌
