Traversing the Northwest Territory’s with my wolf dog, I would often fall asleep under the northern lights listening to this song. The land up there, the freedom, combined with this song made a memory that still takes my breathe away.
I remember hearing this song out of the blue on the radio for the first time, having no clue that it even existed. Obviously the voice was instantly recognizable. The groove, the melody & then the chorus almost blew my entire being straight out of my seat & through the sunroof. Then a minute later I was singing along at the top of my lungs. This song touches me on so freaking many levels, both historically and personally, plus it’s just impossible not to sing along with!! Absolutely haunts my waking & sleeping moments.

This whole album lifted me while I lay in a hospital bed with both legs broken. Long nights ... I became that better man, I never went back again. 4 months later I met my true love, and married her. We honeymooned in India and are building a new house from the ruins of my old life. Thanks Chris and Eddie, you will never know what good you have inspired.
