How an umpire can say "sorry I dont remember that part" IS YOUR DAMW JOB!
Jenny Zhang 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Pliskova knows how to solve problems 😂😂
Can't believe they stole so many points from Serena.
Also, Capriati had no shame to give the points back to her.
she was shoplifter? no
@@horst5511
Yes, I never liked her and never will.
that's when she lost support from the crowd. It was disgusting.
Capriati, so cheap, and then realizing Serena is always at the receiving end of trashtalk.
It's ironic because Capriati always threw the biggest fits if she didn't like a call. But she was fine getting a match handed to her because of bad calls.
The 2004 US Open one was by far the worst
By far they were all in on the screw job.
did u watch the whole video lol
Is it just me or wasn't capriotti a super kunt back in the day?
@@n0ban790 yes...still the worst
That match is what made them get challenges on the tour.
i still can’t that capriati just sat there and stole all 5+ wrong calls, even if she say she couldn’t see, there were at least 3 shots that even a person wearing glasses can see. poor sportsmanship
Totally agreed. Same with Cibulkova. I lose so much respect for them when I see these videos.
Right?? Like on so many of them she was super close to the ball she could not miss it, total nonsense
so tru. i lost all respect for her :/
Capriati was a spoilt brat. She had one of the worst on court attitudes of all time
Serena deserves it though
Cibulkova was such a cheater, even saying it was on the net out loud twice
I remember that Hantuchova Kerber match, the fact that Kerber went to the ump and said can we just play tennis? Such a bad sportsmanship
Cheatbulkova
disgusting
she def cheated everybody in juniors
She is in the cheaters Hall of Fame.
@@kenmore8485 Same with Capriati
She’s a disgusting person. Absolutely no morals
Serena def lost that USO match on bad calls, it’s just so devastating to mental to be knowingly fucked on lines.
Poor Cibolkova and Kerber, they do not realize that this macth will be available on you tube forever.. 😁
Not for Zhu??
Cibulkova and Capriati the worst
The call from Serena match was the worst i’ve ever seen. If i was Wickmayer, i would tell umpire to replay the point.
I could literally feel Serena’s rage. I was angry watching it… that match is the reason we have Hawkeye today.
Yep. I'm surprised McEnroe didn't make much of a stink. It was the other 2 who were calling for the immediate removal of the lines person on that call that was so far in, but it turned out she gave the 'in' sign and the UMPIRE, from 100 feet away at a bad angle, overturned it
@@joycelebaron2582 because McEnroe is a moron
and now that same umpire is a WTA supervisor…
There was a capriati double fault missed as well
@@henrym6758 isn’t she well known for being terrible with overrules
Every time u have Cibulkova or Sakkari in a situation be sure, fair play is not a question.
I agree, Cibulkova should never had been awarded that point against Hsieh and the way she just walked off and ignored it was lousy sportsmanship
Who hears Sara Errani in the background in the Bogotá R1 clip? Lol
I didn't notice it on this one but when I'm watching matches I can often hear her in the background. Too funny. Her and Kuznetsova.
What we've learned-
1. Cibulkova is full of shit
2. So is Sakkari unless she's blind
3. A rule allowing the expulsion of horrific linespeople needs to be implemented
4. Oh, Capriati is also full of shit
5. Sandy French should've been removed
haha, good summary. 😂
I agree 100% on 1 and 2😂
If you feel useless remember there are supervisors in tennis tournaments
25:37 for anyone curious, they did eventually reverse the call and Hsieh and Cibulkova replayed the point. Unfortunately, although replaying was the correct decision, Cibulkova argued against it. Even in the press conference afterwards, she claimed she had been wronged
Most useless things in the world:
1. Supervisors
I still don't understand why they can't just replay it on the screen to avoid players and referees arguing back and forth, plus they can make a right decision by reviewing the play. They can challenge a call a referee make by replaying the entire point. For example, Hsieh Su Wei vs Cibulkova. Also put a hawk eye at Roland Garros to avoid huge errors like that point against Pliskova.
Kerber and Cibulkova are the worst ones in this video… they should tell to replay the point instead of trying to win by robbing the point
right? like its just good sportsmanship to do that, the bare minimum lol
Exactly, two perfect cheater in tennis history😄
I think Capriati took the cake with this one. Glad she lost to Dementieva in the semis in the next match.
Never saw Pliskova angry, even a bit emotional):
Hantuchova x Kerber was so awful! :( I remember it watching live at home. I wanted to grab the referee and shake some sense into her. It's ridiculous.
She should of walked off the court. That would embarass the referees even more
Definitely one of the worst calls in tennis ever. It still angers me when I see it. All Kerber had to do was be honest about the situation. Terrible sportsmanship
You can't never trust in an umpire
Absolutely shameful how these umpires can make such terrible mistakes, with so much on the line.
A terrible mistake took place in Linette / Pera vs Krejcikova / Siniakova at this year's French Open. After Pera's smash, the ball bounced next to Siniakova's leg, 10 cm before the end line, and Krejcikova showed a trace half a meter behind the end line, making Linette / Pera lose a point and then a game.
lesson umpire101: be super confidence even if your call is very very wrong and you know that.
The importance of the Hawkeye on court.
That Hantuchova - Kerber one makes me so angry!!
I cannot believe I spent 30 minutes watching this. Very entertaining!
Hantuchova was completely correct.
Why do the tennis Refs that they call always seem so useless. They never side with the players even when it is obvious. It is such a shame.
Jenny is a cheater for that match
Nothing will top the insane travesty of USO 2004 Serena v Capriati QF. Tennis HAD to implement HawkEye on a wider scale after that blatant match fixing.
The Serena Capriati match is a big part of why Serena tends to feel singled out at the US Open, even when she’s wrong that memory is never far away.
So because she had a bad call in 2004 its okay for her to threaten to kill a lines woman some years later + make so many other scandals? 🤦🏼♂️😂
@@MikkelJankovic It wasn’t one isolated bad call. It was an entire match of bad calls on crucial points. She actually kept her cool fairly well that night. But it happened many times over the years, it really did. I don’t excuse all or even most of her bad behavior, but your statement that she threatened to kill a lines person shows the bias she experiences. She didn’t threaten to kill anyone. She said “you better be right or I’ll shove this ball down your fucking throat.” Not ok, but not a death threat.
You forget 2003 French Open... 2001 AO... List goes on
@@badgernation74
You are a Serena apologist. She showed despicable behavior several times over the years. Shame on you.😅
"Even If I call the referee it's not going to change my call.".. Wtf? Don't invite her back please.
Errani not just grunts loud asf but speaks too hahaha
Those supervisors are absolutely no help, they always take side with the chair umpire no matter how wrong they were
Supervisor's job is the best! They do nothing!🤔
Every umpire in Stanford hates Sorana Cirstea or what?
Referees/supervisors are utterly useless, but it seems the ONE THING they could help with is the chair umpire calling the wrong score. How hard would it be for someone to watch that and only that to make sure it's correct?
Actually sharma was told that she should have kept track of the score. It such a shame that directors says things like that.
That replay on that Errani point dear lord.
Linesman and umpire were so desperate to make Cirstea lose. What an earth they were doing with blind eyes.
That line’s person was Capriati’s mom.
Cibulkova as usual, no fair play from her
at 3:49 the ref clearly calls out after the ball is hit, then clearly denies it when errani makes a good point and says he called out when the ball bounced. Like does he have short term memory loss or is his little ego so fragile he cant admit a mistake?
Literally can’t believe he still works as a ref, shameful
Pls consider use hawk eye in clay... geez...
You know that hawk eye is not 100% accurate right ? So what will be going on when there will be a clear mark out and the hawk eye will say it's in ? Still a great idea ? Don't think so
@@sweetsouu2402 source?
@@lmaoluke It's just well known since the beginning ..! It's a small margin of error but it's here
@@sweetsouu2402 Hawkeye on clay courts at least will decrease the amount of errors significantly, you loser.
@@sweetsouu2402 It is indeed a very small margin of error, so if there is a "clear mark out and hawk eye says it's in", then the mark is wrong (sometimes a very fast ball hits the ground for a millisecond, then bounces back up and leaves the mark a few centimeters away from the point where it actually first hit the ground).
I don't like Errani too much, but that chair umpire is a total dumb@ss and I'm not sorry to say it👏
Bro do all these umpires have short term memory loss or something and are also blind and asleep as well 🤣
Capriati tho 🤦♂️
I have zero respect for Cibulkova and Zhu after this.
Meanwhile Roger calls his own first serve out and proceeds with the second serve even if the umpire said nothing
Thats Fairplay, you can't go against someone saying: "yeah I messed up, it's on me. I lost that one."
If they are filming a match and a chair umpire doesn’t remember what happened in the rally. The supervisor should be able to look at the match footage somehow to make a decision. Like it’s not a lack of respect towards the chair umpire. Itll help solve problems like this.
The chair should be able to look at the footage and reverse his call.He has the ability to do so, to say we can look afterwards is a joke. This is in regards to Errani's play.
That would seem ideal, and it works for sports like football where the VAR can be consulted on decisions made by the referee. But there the call to challenge isn't made by the players.
Getting video replay in tennis would lead to abuse of that option by players.
The Asian umpire in the Hsieh-Cibulkova is one of the absolute worst in the chair. There could be a montage of JUST her mistakes
Capriati was no.1 but she showed dirty behaviors. Among grear players, she is the worst cheater I have ever seen
Henin was a lying cheater too
It's funny because everything would be fast solved with a simple attitude coming from the player benefited by the mistake such a bunch of cheaters
zhang is the worst umpire
Didnt Alicia Molik score an ace on match point against Davenport at AO but it was called out despite being in?
Capriati - Serena remains greatest hatchet job in Grand Slam history.
LMFAO Aga was like "AsK tHe sUPeRvISoR!"
You can hear Federer from the audience saying " we need clown for this circus "
This is a great video to watch when people say that women should run the world.
Another awful lines call was at wimby final 05. Venus serve was out by a mile and called good.
The pliskova one bruh
The black chair umpire representing 😂
As a black man, good to see learning from their peers
I feel like there should be more pressure on players to concede when the know they lost the point and the umpire has made a mistake. Umpires and lines people are always going to make mistakes now and again (in some of these videos like Serena - Capriati they are clearly biased mistakes) but in normal arguments the umpire has just made a silly, honest mistake which happens. They should definitely allow video replay of the points that are argued to overrule the umpire.
This things never have to happen again.
Tennis needs a REPLAY feed desperately
Incredibile, really.
Yes you do agree with her. You admitted your mistake!
Never seen this before. So nasty of Capriti just taking all this points without saying anything.
There needs to be a 2nd person keeping track of the umpire from now on. Umpires are too arrogant to own up to their mistakes
There is the person that does the digital score that we see on TV, that is waiting to hear the umpire call it. That person is also following the match and should be connected by ear piece to the ump in case they miss the call.
@@jennym2276 so how come these incidents continue to go on where they get the score line wrong?!?!!?!!
@@rgncajun21 it’s not allowed which is wrong in my opinion. They should be connected by earpiece but they aren’t.
Umpires are evaluated during matches. And there is a thing that we learn when we are umpire : Don't change you're original call there is a discussion with a player. Why ? Because his opponent think you're influencable. And after hard matches likes this, there is a video section in office where you watch your match and analyse it
Serena lost the match because all the decisions was wrong
I always love Francesca...
You could see the linesman in the Sakkari/Pliskova match made the decision to fuck with the match. That was a conscious decision
Serena suffering that at the US open is what created such bad tension for her years after she played there. One bad call and she's off the rails
We really need a written set of rules for the challenge system these umpires kill me so
How about Venus vs Sprem in Wimbledon 2004. That was really bad from the umpire
Lines men must own up to their mistakes. That was shocking and the pits.
my anger issues cant
The umpire of the game between Cibulkova and Hsieh is no brainer. NO IQ. She cannot be a tennis umpire. How can you not recall a point that happened after few seconds.
I don't understand why they can't just use the camera umpire to call questionable points, that's what technology is for, they've got it backwards.
How can anyone forget a 3 shot rally
The 2004 match was fixed
Looks like they stuck it 2 the Jigger
I actually thought that Cibulkova was a cheater after all of this happening in Wimbledon 2018, but someone responded me with a huge text justifying Cibulkova and he was kinda right.. then I deleted my comment for some reason (probably because I was wrong) and now I cannot find it 😅 but Cibulkova in general doesn't seem to take good decisions in terms of the line calls.. let's just say that
No, Cibulkova lied when she said Hsieh’s ball went into the net. It did not
@@badgernation74 HINDRANCE RULE
A hindrance may result from a corrected call by an official or an event
on the court that may be ruled involuntary or deliberate. Any continual
distraction of regular play, such as grunting, shall be dealt with in
accordance with this Section H.
1. Corrected Call
a. If a call is corrected from “Good” to “Out,” then the point is ended and
there is no hindrance.
b. If a call is corrected from “Out” to “Good,” then a let must be called
unless the Chair Umpire determines in his/her sole discretion that
the ball was a clear ace or a clear winning shot that the player could
not have retrieved. If there is any reasonable possibility that the ball
could have been played, then the player must be given the benefit of
the doubt.
c. If a foot fault is called before a serving player hits the ball, then a let
must be called.
2. Involuntary Hindrance
a. A let should be called the first time a player has created an involuntary
hindrance (e.g., ball falling out of pocket, hat falling off, etc.), and the
player should be told that any such hindrance thereafter will be ruled
deliberate.
b. A let should be called if a player is hindered by an event outside of
her control (e.g., ball rolling onto the court, paper blowing onto the
court, etc.) during play or her service motion.
c. Noise, “out” calls, or other similar distractions from spectators are not
considered a hindrance and the point should stand as played.
3. Deliberate Hindrance
Any hindrance caused by a player that is ruled deliberate will result in the loss of point.
@@badgernation74 The problem here is that the call came before Hsieh returned the ball. It was like this: Hsieh served the ball, then Cibulkova returned it, umpires calls it as out and Hsieh makes final return, then Cibulkova challenged the call and video replay showed that the ball was clearly in. Because an out call came after Cibulkova's return but slightly before Hsieh's return, and Cibulkova was successful in challenging the call, Cibulkova wins the point. Hsieh was clearly wrong. You should realise, that point is over as soon as line umpire makes the line call. In this case Cibulkova's shot was clearly point ending shot and it was a winner as video replay showed. What Hsieh did with it doesn't matter, as it happened after the out call happened and point is stopped after a line call. Chair umpire was correct here.
@@tennispredictionsandreacti130 Wrong. It was not a winner. Cibulkova’s shot was called out, but Hsieh hit it back across the net inside the court anyway. The point should have been replayed. Cibulkova LIED to the chair and said Hseih hit the ball in the net. Bitch move on her part. Consistent with her career though.
@@tennispredictionsandreacti130 100% wrong. Players don't lose a point because of an incorrect out call. The time when ball is called out only matters if they miss the shot on an incorrectly called ball.
I don’t know why I watch videos like this, it makes me so angry. It’s especially frustrating when the umpire refuses to engage in potential common sense solutions. I honestly loved when Pliskova lost her temper.
I just close-called to say it's out!
Not one in these vids did the opponent helped "resolve" the point. Sportsmanship, anyone?
A nice exception is Mona Barthel against Radwanska - not immediately but still she admitted that Radwanska was right.
Also, notice how no referees were able to do anything. They are completely useless and doing their jobs HORRIBLY just in general. I don't know why they exist
Sometimes i think they need a Var
Сорика не обижайте😘💞❤️
This video is hard to watch. Especially when the idiot umpire totally screwed up the game and gave it to the wrong person. But I’m reminded all the time that a lot of opposing players have bad sportsmanship
I hope Zhang was fined for that disgraceful call against Hsieh Su Wei
and this is why there are no lines people at the US Open.. our technology is more advanced that we can see a simple double bounce or w/e to alleviate alot of what these people work hard for
I dont understand what the hell the supervisors do in tennis. They are so useless it is unbelievable. Why are they called supervisors if most of the time they arent even watching the game ?
Honestly...some of these calls were ridiculous and insane. These calls shows that how on earth these judges have ever get on court and judge the matches. Judges were simply unqualified to judge tennis at all. I can understand one wrong call in the match, but at least 3 wrong calls in the same match. Simply too much. I say that WTA and ATP should consider carefully which judge to send to court. Unbelievable calls.
Errani is right
Most of these are among the worst ever. Serena at USO04 and the Hantuchova, Zhu, Cirstea and Hsieh are hall of UNfame type of errors
good stuff
Tennis is one of few sports where the refs can rly make u lose the game Serena’s ball was clearly in carpriati just doesn’t wanna admit she’s wrong
