Fred was at a recording studio I worked at once (portlandia) and was genuinely so friendly and no ego. I tried to make him laugh and he humored me. As he left he told me “I love *you*” but he said it in this cryptic inflection that I’ll still be questioning on my death bed. Which is perfect.
It's really annoying how he does this nonsense. Just tell your guest which is the guest chair. Done. For some reason, so many podcasters now think every podcast should start with five minutes of wasting-everyone's-time banter about nothing.
This is easily the greatest podcast I've ever seen. There's not a single serious moment for the entire time, it's just one long bit and I love the ever living shit out of it lol. If you could distill this down it would absolutely make liquid joy, and it would sustain your happiness the rest of your life.
the podcast lived up to its name and I had to rewind a few times to digest the bits and gags. Fred is such a positive, caring fellow. Plus he can do accents, which is really all any of us want in comedy, and I think I speak for all of us.
The description says "Fred Armisen (Portlandia, Late Night with Seth Meyers) joins David to discuss..." Late Night with Seth Meyers?!?!?!?!?! Come ON. Fred is a legend and deserves more than this.
David is right. We've all heard the soundbites of Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan describing his show as "Mr Chips meets Scarface", but they always cut off the part where he says "by way of My Three Sons". You're always learning something new here on Senses!
LOOOVE FRED. So far so many guests on this pod are just killing it but David just makes each ep so funny no matter the guest. I’m so glad I discovered this pod. On my top comedy pod list.
Loving your eipisodes - as a Canadian I laughed out loud on your 10 hour time difference line, then you followed up with one is 5 hours ahead and the other 5 hours behind so cancel each other out - sadly many will believe you. By the way Subscribed and I watch 100% on RUclips from the Philippines - I missed the listening to podcast trend - don't even know how to get them - I am old (59). 🤪
I love watching everyone get stumped on picking which chair.. BTW.. i hope you get PFT on here one day.. but has to do his Werner Herzog for a full hour... it's one of my favorite things ever.
I was at that poetry show. After being called on, I told Fred I was from the future and his eyes rolled back and he did a robotic so cal accent. While the whites of his eyes showed. It wasn’t accurate but it was fun.

Fred's ability to commit to a bit is SO unmatched. It's insane. And matched with David who is SO quick. I could watch this forever.

Please tell me you seen Fred on the Harland highway podcast
Fred Armisen and David Cross should have their own podcast. Fred is gold..

It will take me a few years to fully digest, unpack, and understand the comedic brilliance behind this episode of Senses.
It will never cease to amaze me watching A-list comics have an existential crisis when asked to pick a seat.

@@TheKarmicRepairCo Take a breath. Touch grass. There are WAY larger fish to fry than David’s “cold opens” to his (brand new) podcast.
Knowing Fred (not personally), this is 💯 a bit.
It is a bit but only for those with a sense of humor, love these guys together, come over and hang out guys❤
It’s honestly my favorite thing about this podcast.
Marc Maron was having none of it
David Cress is one of the best stories I’ve heard all month!!
Enthralling story! And Fred told it so well!
CLASSIC!
Lmfaooo
It's hard to believe he remembered all the twists and turns too.
These two together is pure chaos. It might as well be an episode of Mr. Show. Is this the audition? I love it.

@scposeur lol yes, this is the winning comment imo
This was a silly goose time, and I love it!!
Fred is always one of my favorite people to listen to. Always doing bits, always hilarious. Such a great person to play with
This is great! I love watching anything fred armisen. Cant wait for the scott aukerman ep!
Gosh I love these podcasts. So much better than the old talk show style. These two are so great together.
Fred truly understood the assignment and he delivered
Always does
This was a great one. Love Fred Armisen. He is a national treasure.
Absolutely
I used to find David Cross funny years ago. But now in this day and age I still find him funny.

the "We Are Paul Giamatti" t-shirts better be in the store by next week
subtle improv, so subtle at moments it made me squirm a bit - LOVE it !
Not to split hairs here, but "Jump Around" is House of Pain. Kriss Kross was just "Jump." Shout-out to pilots, though.
That David Cress story is going to have me laughing for days! 😂
Oooh I got some great out loud laughs from this episode. Even a couple of belly laughs, which I didn’t know how much I needed. So good 😂

Such a fun show! Love how you folks can go in out of little improvised comedy bits and come back to real life interesting stories.
Omg! My favorite episode, hands down 😆😆😆

“I had a Paul, uh, Giamatti” did not go unnoticed.
Love you both! And this made my entire month!
Perfect guest! ❤❤❤
Two of the funniest human beings on earth in one room 🤯
great guest!
This is second only to the Jo Firestone episode in it's ability to be so pleasingly bit-riddled and inane. Love this podcast.
I was laughing very hard at the gym to myself listening to this

They covered “Jump Around”? That’s so cool!
I’ve always wondered about the color of strawberry ice cream, thank god these guys figured it out.
Never put much thought into it, just figured it was because of red ice cream would look horrific.

YES! David would be perfect for a Portlandia character.
What a beautiful way to waste an hour of my time! Ugh this is so good!

I thoroughly enjoyed this episode of “OOPS! All Bits!”
Great conversation! I know this is random but I am so glad David never changed his nose☺

I love you two can riff a bit on the term "superfluous". It's an old code but it still checks.

Was David thinking of “Polyam.” I only know about that term because of the Polyam Belter Fam from The Expanse. Oye Beltalowda!
that or 'non monogamous'
