This is like an AI-generated podcast or something. Every statement is treated as valid, every possible tangent is explored, yet nothing of substance is actually discussed. It's marvelous.
proof "AI" is a scam
Joe Rogan podcast simulator 😂
Two of the best deadpan comedians ever and to watch them together like this is amazing
@@spenceredwards2544 ya know they had a show. and made a movie
I love both of these guys AND I feel dumber after watching this. Probably never watch Headgum again since this was my first experience of it. Waste of time. Bizarre and also not funny.
The short bit where Bob turned into Jordan Peterson was incredible.
I was scrolling through the comments wondering how many other people noticed this lmao
Yes, lol! That and the joe rogan conspiracy stuff was great. Bob and Dave def still got it
david being rogan lmaooo
Is there a timestamp
@@TheFancyman99 41:30 is about the time when he starts talking about Rogan and 43:38 is when the JP impression starts
I feel some weird pride for these guys because of how insanely successful they became because I watched Mr. Show while it was originally airing in '95-98'. Me and my friends still constantly quote Mr. Show and it feels like an exclusive club. David is my all time favorite comedian and of course I'm obsessed with Better Call Saul.
If you had to pick a favorite sketch, what would it be? Or a top-five? My all-time favorites are the nanny cam where David gets repeatedly punched in the face, the ventriloquist gang wars, The infomercial for the superpan... omg the militia man who makes his own country and then Bob comes in with the keyboard to create a national anthem 😂 Too hard, too many. Absolutely incredible show.
same here
@Laurendica the entire second episode of the 1st season. All of it is gold
Right?! Following Bob's career has been a fuckin blast. SNL writer who created iconic sketches, to Mr. Show, fast forward and he's cast as a weird lawyer and everyone realizes he's actually an amazing actor, now an action hero. I got to meet him on his book tour with his daughter, and he couldn't have been more normal and awesome.
@@Laurendica Titanica!
“Odenkirk ?”
“Yeah, it just got changed”
“From what ?”
“What it was before”
so masterful
I love how the humor verges from dry to surreal.
David, please just do a podcast WITH Bob. This is fantastic
Honestly, this is the peak. It's going to be such a fast drop off after this
I don't think Bob would want to regularly host a podcast
Bob lasted about 8 minutes before saying "podcasts are exhausting." I'm betting that would be a tough sale.
But title the podcast the same...as if it is just David's podcast but Bob is the ONLY guest that is on every episode.
PRETTY PLEASE.
These guys have great chemistry. They should try doing a show together
Nah, they should do a show together and then about 20 years later do a Netflix miniseries
Ok mister.
Guess you forgot about the 90's?
Run Ronnie run who's seen it???
My favorite movie
@@JoshEbalo I have.
"Every question is a dream, every statement is a lie" - Bob Odenkirk spitten facts as only he can
Which is traumatic considering how much he hates them, not to mention the crushing mind paradox he bares for us all.
This is like listening to good jazz. These guys are incredible.
It's unwatchable. 2 grown men talking like 2 14-year-olds getting high for the first time.
@@mrtoothless On purpose.
Great analogy. Comedic jazz.
well i don’t know what the fuck jazz is but i agree completely.
Bob’s 3 steps to top-notchery lolll
so funnny 😂
Eat your breakfast
the jordan peterson impression at 43:39 😅
And how Bob can barely contain his laughter makes it even funnier.
Bob Odenkirk's Three Steps to Top Notchery
1. Breakfast
3. Put down the bong (& don’t bogart that joint)
2. Try to get a good job
this episode just made me crave a whole podcast where david and bob are just talking and goofing around like this. they're just so great together
I'd literally listen to them doing this for three hours
This is hands down funnier than most comedy specials released nowadays. Thanks for the smiles guys!!
This is just a never ending bit at this point, genius
I could listen to David & Bob’s deadpan riffing for hours. Perfection.
It's unwatchable. 2 grown men talking like 2 14-year-olds getting high for the first time.
Legitimately started laughing within the first five minutes. You can see not only the friendship and chemistry, but how good they are at improvising.
So effortlessly funny!
Xenue kinda click chic flick.
I LITERALLY started laughing within the first 12 hours.
Hee! @@DDGenes
Legitimately thought it was weird and awkward at first. 😂 Never seen the podcast before and then it gradually started to make sense.
You guys are still master riffers after all these years..bravo.
The amount of humor thats happening just beneath the surface of this conversation is wild. If you didn't know these two men or the nature of their relationship, a great deal of it may slip by completely un noticed. Two absolute legends doing what they do best.
I'd heard of their "Show" & knew the raves were warranted due to the sources & yes agreed, (on this quick reunion podcast) a whole lot of just going with it so brilliantly downplayed to nearly over the top- LOL more than a few times😃. Rust fell away from that chemistry in a couple words exchanged.
It's unwatchable. 2 grown men talking like 2 14-year-olds getting high for the first time.
@@mrtoothlessyou’re just not smart enough to get it
Felt called out there, huh?@@eamonmac2751
@@eamonmac2751 it's a troll copy pasting the same troll comment repeatedly. Pathetic use of time.
You can tell how much time these two have spent together. Their hilarious tangents are a masterclass in the improv tactic 'yes, and...'. Neither are laughing at the ridiculous thing the other just said and now have to reply to, even though they both know how funny it all is. They just build on it. I love it.
I met Bob Odenkirk not too long ago. One of the most genuine people I've ever met.
Bah Bodenkirk and Lil' Davey Cross together again, bless my stars!
this was such a good interview, just amazed how much chemistry they have after meeting only just before recording.
"This is why I love being on a podcast is because I can finally say all these things that I know secretly. And that I don't want anyone to talk about or spread, or in anyway, you know pursue..." Bobo Denkirk
These two dudes have been and continue to be the gentlest, wittiest, friendliest and funniest comedy duo ever. The whole ep was an extended improv session. Love you both David and Bob (or is it Bob and David?). Also there needs to be a Saul Goodman and Todd Margaret buddy comedy
Bob's jordan petterson was prettty spot on at 44:03
It's SO good. Bob absolutely must play Jordan B. Peterstein in the Funny or Die biopic.
Came here looking for his Peterson impression, thanks!
20:45 is such a great illustration of why Bob's mind is a treasure. Taking a regular ole' Australian fact and just taking it to the limit.
Mr Show was the closest American sketch show i've ever seen that felt like Python. Just had that abusrdly creative anarchic energy that sketch shows on more commercial networks could only dream of
As an Australian 🇦🇺 Mr Show was the greatest sketch show ever. Thank fuck my parents got HBO. My sense of humour has been moulded by Mr Show , UCB and even Strangers with candy.
@@adamvegeta3809STRANGERS WITH CANDY!!!
Kids in the hall, Tim and eric
i think you should leave
"Kids in the Hall" were Canadian. And Tim & Eric was more of a filmed, conceptual project, rather than a "sketch show" in the traditional sense. But yes, obviously both of them are brilliant.@@pointysidedown
I absolutely loved Mr Show and I can’t tell you how much joy I get from you guy’s riffing off each other 💜
It's such a pleasure to watch them effortlessly create a podcast that's 1000 times better than club random.
A million times better.
Club Random is mega blocks and David Cross Overtime is Lego
Gay
That’s actually every podcast that’s not club random.
Why do you feel the need to announce you are a deranged leftist?
It's Mr. Podcast with Bob and David!
It’s always nice when people who actually should make a podcast actually make them
Yeah, rich people.
I love that this ENTIRE podcast has just been one big yes and 🤣🤣
Sidenote- fully spit out my drink laughing at the Jordon Peterson impression
I was wondering if these two would ever meet. Imagine the magic they could make together. Like literal* magic. Tuxedos, rabbits in top hats, cutting people in half, and everything!
They did Mr. Show in the '90s
haha i’ve think they’ve met before …
Literarily a miracle
They've been a team for decades. This comment is giving the same energy as the Kanye fans who said Paul McCartney better than Kanye West for making Paul McCartney famous actor he made a cameo on Kanyes song 😂
How do Mr. Show fans not get an obvious joke?
I'm still in love with these two after all these years
It's insane, they just sit down and immediately start worksgopping mr show skits. There is a reason they worked so well together.
I’ve never commented on a RUclips video before. This is great.
Commenting is great indeed, what did you think of the podcast?
Best podcast ever recorded.😂😂😂😂😂😂 PLEASE GOD HAVE HIM BACK.
How has this not been blowing up my timeline?
44:07 Bob's face when he delivers "3 steps to... top-notchery" - I think he surprised even himself
For those who want to know, this pod was produced and directed by Famous Mortimer (who looks a lot like Patton Oswalt).
This podcast is basically the answer to all my prayers.
For a comedy nerd (like me) I’m not sure podcasts get any funnier than this. So many moments I lost it laughing. These two are so fucking funny it almost makes me angry but I’m too busy loving it and laughing my ass off. 😂
This was one of the funniest podcasts I ever listened to. I laughed so hard I cried. So, y'know, expect to hear from my lawyers.
This is by far the best Beckett podcast never recorded.
I can't remember laughing as much as I have watching this. Thank you guys
Normally I like hearing about people's real lives but in this case, I'm very happy they took it in a different direction. Absolutely hilarious.
I can’t think of many things better than two really funny people doing bits and riffing for over an hour. This is one of the funniest things I’ve seen in awhile.
This is mastery of two guys who have found very deserved success since their early days working together.
I’ve watched this multiple times, I request after 6 months you guys do a voiceover commentary of this podcast where you analyze it.
like hearing two jazz virtuosos, create comedy out of thin air.
more importantly, it's great to see an enduring friendship in showbiz and look forward to seeing how the hiking trip goes
The timing between “they made a skin suit” and Bob’s “mmhmm” was so quick and perfect
L.Ron shrimp size? David?
Scrolling the comments while listening, read this exactly when they said it! perfect timing
I love the Grateful Dead with all my heart, but hearing Bob and David clown on them at the end there makes me laugh so much 😂😂
Absolute gold-plated gold! Throwaway bits like the drum circle in heaven and massaging the computer made me laugh so hard 😂 and they just effortlessly sail on to the next thought. Thank you Dave and Bob for so many years of entertainment and inspiration.
These 2 are legends. We need more shows with them in together (or writing together).
Bob doing the Jordan Peterson bit made me cry too 😂😂😂
yall just dont understand how much i love bob
this feels like me and my high school friends sitting around .. love it.
I listen to comedy podcasts while doing dishes, cleaning, etc. But for this one I decided I must sit down and watch it like a TV show. I was not disappointed.
It's the first podcast I've ever watched (despite listening to podcasts for ten years).😍
This was a conversation. You said a bunch of words. I enjoyed it.
So fun to watch both these GOATs wind each other up.
lol hearing them both talk about the grateful dead was very relatable to me. my friends going through the dead phase and the raggae phase in high school/college was torture
This waa the best lumberjack AA meeting I have ever zoomed in to. Stay strong guys.
"We're not going to just climb Machu Picchu, we're going to uh... get rid of it." -David Cross
Got my Emotion Lotion ready for this one!
Can't believe these two haven't met before. Great chemistry! It was close to a fist fight there when Bob lunged at David for what he said about Bob's mother but I'm glad they figured it out.
I remember hearing the BCS producers talk about that injury of Bob's. For the final episode cut they basically pulled the "texas switch" where you see Bob as Saul running out of frame away from his captors, the camera hesitates, then spins over into the alleyway and it was just a stuntman that you see actually hopping over the fence like 30 feet away. great shot.
These two Misters should have a show!
If only we could watch it with Bob and David
I've never enjoyed utter gibberish like I enjoyed this. 😂😂 Thanks guys.
Bob please do more podcasts. We need this creativity.
Just instantly theyre thinking of sketches together. They cant help it. Its so nice to see. HEADGUM you spoil us!!! Everything headgum hosts is great, please follow them if u aren't.
what 10th level sarcasm is this xD
you guys need a podcast where you only interview deaf french celebrities, it would be a hit.
their freestyle satire flows like jazz.
A masterclass in transitions lads. You did it again!
Their most famous transition, of course, being that both Dave and Bob were born female nutrias.
Also? I'm transitioning
Great stuff guys. Thanks for sharing some quality time with us. Feels like hanging out with lifelong friends that, minor detail, you have yet to meet in real life just quite yet. I sincerely love and appreciate both of you.
Seeing these two in the same room together will always bring a smile to my face. Two absolute legends, and I've been rooting for them ever since Mr. Show. Pure genius, and I still quote it decades later.
The three steps to top notchery. LOL! The banter about the Dead is an absolute gem!
Best . . . . comedy . . . . duo . . . . ever. I LOVE YOU GUYSSSS!!!!! Thank you for making me smile and laugh a million times. You've saved my life, seriously, more times than I wish to admit. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
That was so genuine and hilarious. I haven't laughed out loud like that in a long time
lmaooo " pull my legs once, shame on me" lol hahahah im dying!
"I don't think the pills help or hurt, and I take as many as I can" Bob stop im dying
This is one of the funniest things I've ever heard. Thank you both for like... existing
"not since the accident" lol
I haven't laughed this hard in at least a year 😅
These guys just always "on" is endlessly entertaining. It's like watching a perpetual motion machine.
Fantastic show, I haven't laughed so much in one hour in a while. PS Bob's rendition of "Every Question Is A Dream" was simply stunning. I wept as I kept picturing Walt's head on his shoulders (thank god they saved it). Perhap Bob may play the great Walt Disneys in a future biopic.
Lol oh my god this is so good. “There’s 46 presidents shouldn’t you run into one every now and then”. Brilliant
I love these guys, but I was doubly excited to hear David mention the Elephant 6 Collective. I shouldn't be surprised that someone who is a fan of XTC might know of the bands under the banner Elephant 6.
David Cross. I first saw you in Men In Black and was a fan ever since. From Mr. Show to your books, and now I learn about a podcast where you've been having guests that include all the funniest and best actors of the last 30 years... I JUST BLUE MYSELF!!
They talk the way I think when I'm really really stoned. 🤣🤣🤣
Hell yeah, been waiting for a David Cross pod for years. It’s Bob and David time, folks!
They're just so natural together! It's like they're two peas in... something or other.
two titans here.
I've been getting back to this masterpiece of a conversation. It's a guaranteed laugh everytime
Mr. Show and Tenacious D were the best live action comedy shows of the late 90's. It's not even close. These guys created a new subgenre of comedy with that show.
Please have Paul F. Tompkins and/or Scott Aukerman on the podcast, David!
I am lucky to have witnessed this. The gold is immense.
I've been listening to comedian podcasts for a decade - Bill Burr, YMH, Bad Friends, Tim Dillon, Honeydew, Blocks, Dudesy, Theo, Are you Garbage, Fly On The Wall, and the list goes on. This episode is one of the best podcasts I've ever heard. I've listened to it four times. It's absolute nonsense, and I love it.
Two legends!
Either this episode gave me the nostalgia tinglies or these Globochem marshmallows are expired. Awesome seeing Bah Bodenkirk (am I pronouncing that correctly?) being silly again. Not that BCS wasn’t tits, but this comedy duo, and i’m gonna let you finish, this comedy duo is the best comedy duo of all time.
This to be the most sarcastic conversation i ever heard , pure natural comedy at its very best 😂
This podcast is exactly what i was missing
