I'm 68 years young, been riding for 49 years. Owned a 1980 CB750F supersport, bought new in 1980 and a handful of other bikes. My bike now is a 2013 red CB1100 and is my favorite bike ever. If you haven't changed out that seat yet, consider a Corbin seat, which is what I have. I can ride for DAYS with no discomfort! Other changes: dual PIAA superloud horns, LED headlight, highway pegs, USB charger and a few other things. Overall, a beautiful, smooth, fast, comfortable, well-handling icon. May very well be the last bike I ever own.
i have a 2014 CB1100 and love it. Been across country and down into mexico several times and put nearly 30k on it. Wicked fast with Honda reliability and the naked style is a head turner. ride on!
Great to see someone still reviewing the CB1100 and loving it for what it is, a beautifully built bike. I bought mine last year as it reminded me of the bike I would have loved to have owned in the 70’s but never did. They’re timeless and can’t wait to get out again once the temperature rises.
Such bikes have very special owners. It is now all about the speed, neither tech... but feel and style. This bike has it, the style and it provides a great feel. Would love to own one. :) Drop by bro, you may like my content. Cheers. thech...
Just riding the CB in the Yorkshire dales in England and yesterday visited the highest pub in Britain, the Tan Hill Inn, rode the Buttertubs Pass and lots of moorland roads. It’s a great bike!!
Ride my 2013 CB for 9 years and over 72.000km. It's a very good bike because I like its look, the inline 4 and its reliability. Will keep the CB for many more years. Power is more than enough for my riding style.
I bought the 2017 model. I previously owned the CB 1300 5 speed but I think this 6 speed is a much better bike. It’s well built too. Cleans up good after a bad weather ride. Comes with a centre stand so maintaining the chain is a breeze. A great all round bike that’s good for city riding and has the power to go distance. Thanks for the show.
No, thank you for watching. I just got my delkevic exhaust in and have a k&n on the way. I'm eager to see what kind of power a good dyno tune will get out of it.
Had a 750 Nighthawk. Loved it. It just wanted to go. I would guess this is just more of the same. The CB UJM Hondas are iconic. A significant contributor to the world of motorcyles. Every bit as classic as V or vertical twin.
I've owned a 93 cb750, and now have the 14 1100. The 1100 has way more power, but has vibration around 6-7k rpm; while the 750 is butter all the way through the redline. I love them both, the 750 really sings with the dual pipes when you give it the beans.
I like all bikes, but this is one of those that are quite rare and special. Being air cooled means something. A keeper in my opinion. Got my like and full watch. Drop by bro to check my content. Cheers. Take care.
I have a 2016 CB1100 and the first thing that I noticed is that yours sounds like an old aeroplane. Don’t get me wrong, I like it but my favourite thing about my bike is just how smooth it is….and sounds.
I like it to sound rough but ride smooth. Bike still rides smooth as glass but sounds more grunty. I'd say of all the bikes I've had my favorite sounding has been my 78 kz650 if that gives you an idea of the sound I link.
I have the exact same bike! It was my first bike and I absolutely love it!! Best upgrades were the engine guards with small highway pegs (long legs), and an LED headlight
Getting a set of engine guards soon. Just installed a full delkvic exhaust and have a k&n ready to drop in then get it tuned. Can't wait to get this stupid speed limiter removed.
I really wish they did 1 or 2 70s themed paint schemes. I plan on getting this bike as a second. I was gonna buy a vintage cb but this wont need any work. I think id end up doing honda orange or 70s green w black.
Hey man I just bought this bike it’s awesome!!! Just 1 question running it without the muffler did it have any effects to damage the motorcycle or everything went fine so far ,Ik there’s the back pressure thing. I hope u respond thank you!
@moto mike Money...that is my current lack 🤷 And i have two bikes already. A 2009 Triumph Rocket 3 Touring and a Victory Crossroads 2011. Keeping the Vic. Selling the other one.
Gorgeous bike, If it was easier to come by it I might of have chosen one for myself but I end up going with the Kawasaki Z900RS and it was an awesome pick too.
Hi there, great video, good comments, realistic judgements. How much do you still like the CB 1100 after first year? How many miles did you manage to ride? Still happy? Greetings from France
Hey! Thanks for the review! Do you still have this bike? I am choosing between the Triumph Speed Twin 1200 and Honda CB1100 RS. Triumphs is better on paper, but I can't help it how great Honda looks! Which one would you choose and why?
I bought one and love it. Ride it almost everyday. Where did you get the seat. I had mine in the harley shop and they were guessing what year it was. LOL
Seat was ok it when I bought it. It I'd a k&h brand seat that can be found on webike.japan for around %600 usd plus shipping. Highly reccomend that website too if you haven't seen it, also a site called samurider has good single seats for it I'm thinking of getting.
I'm looking to buy one. Exact same with 10k miles on it for $4500. Would you recommend it as a beginners bike? I'm not looking for speed or anything. Just want it to be easy to ride. I rode Honda rebel 500 and found it very easy. Would say it's the close enough?
I don't think I'd reccomend it as a beginner bike to be honest. It's not a sportbike however it is very torquey and because of that it can be somewhat unforgiving on rough surfaces, low speed accel, and wet conditions depending on your tires and skill level. It also has no traction control, antiwheelie, abs (unless you get the delux) so you have to be comfortable and confident with it. It's a smothbike and if you already know how to ride I'd say go for it but if you have next to no experience on 2 wheels I'd look elsewhere.
A lovely bike, I especially like the long gearing in 6th. My own Suzuki SV1000 is very busy by comparison and turning 5,000 RPM at an indicated 80 MPH. I have a Power Commander and a timing retard eliminator fitted, to get the best potential from the engine after dyno time and I hope you'll manage to get that damn speed limiter removed soon. It seems a bit crazy that an original 1969 CB750 K0 will top 120 MPH with ease, yet Honda chose to limit this fabulous machine. They're the same over here in the UK - political nannying nonsense but you're far away enough to not need to suck up to Europe ! Best regards from South Wales.
The Honda selection of motorcycles isn’t that great anymore for some of us. I would have loved to buy this bike as a new model but I went with a Kawasaki Z900RS instead. It was the closest thing to this Honda model I could get.
It has one. But you hit the speed limiter in 3rd gear lol. If anything it needs the speed limiter removed which I plan to do, that was I can fully use 6th gear.

Any complaints about not having 6th gear ? I know 2014 Honda added 6th
Do you notice?
@@rubo1964 no complaints, and I've owned several bikes with a sixth gear. I'm perfectly fine with the five.
Great Review, Classic Looks , Minimal Electronics, And Honda Reliably, what’s not to love , Honda all the way !

It's great, I'm changing some minor things but overall honda did it right. Update video comming some time in the near future.
Just picked one up for 4500 uk £. 15k miles on the clock and it runs like brand new! I love it. Look forward to your update video... 😊

I bought mine last year a 2013 candy red non ABS for 6 grand with 7000 miles. It looks and runs brand new. I will never sell it.
This will be a collectors bike some day. It's probably the last air cooled inline 4 to come out of japan.
Go the same bike. Bought my 2013 about 2 years ago. I won’t sell it either.

Hmm, I've not experienced thst vibration. For me it stays smooth and planted at any rpm and at any speed itl go.
@moto mike it's not bad, it's just a little buzzy, and it's where the hp really comes in.

@@motomikeyoutube fair enough. I also have a 2021 GSXS750 with a M4 exhaust so, for me I am happy for that to be rowdy and the CB to be quiet.
I personally like the look 👀 and it is a awesome bike. My 2014 cb1100 s is one of my favorite to ride 😉
Absolutely beutifull bike.

You have spoilt the sound of it taking the baffles out.
The CB1100 is a classy motorbike, not a street racer for a kid.
Gorgeous bike, If it was easier to come by it I might of have chosen one for myself but I end up going with the Kawasaki Z900RS and it was an awesome pick too.
The z900rs is an absolutely beutifull bike. It would outperform the cb pretty easily too.

Tennessee, and thanks!
What is the difference between 14 and newer years like 17 or 19?
Think gas tank design is different
I prefer the early version

@@motomikeyoutube Ask for a tripod for Christmas!😃
This bike indeed is so hard to come by
Very much so yes. Less than 2500 state side I believe for the 2013s and 2014s.
Hello.
what is the maximum speed?
Great bike, wish they made a lighter 550 version
Yeah, I can see thst being fun and a good beginner bike for someone who might not be too comfortable with the power and weight of the 1100.
What is the exhaust you used?
No muffler on there of any kind? Running ok?
For 2000 miles yes, no issues. Just put on a full delkvic system.
Do they make a passenger backrest?
To my knowledge no, I've never seen one
The aftermarket support for these machines is very limited.
I’ve seen one. Guy bought a cb1100 from a dealer somewhere and it had one on.

They don’t, but I have the oem rack and a Shad SR 28 cafe racer bag, which would give a pillion something to lean back on.
So beautiful 👍👍👍
