Still riding my 2014 CB1100. I love it. I have lots of different bikes and it’s my favorite for this time of my life. I have a custom tune and Ikon Shocks. I can cruise at 75-80 on the freeway no problem.
People either get it or they don't. I was surprised at the reviewer downplaying the 1100s performance. It will do the ton in third gear and I've read that it will top 140 with a tune that disables the limiter. It's great on the highway as you mentioned and rock solid at 75 MPH while it's a chill ride in the country when it needs to be. I will keep my 2014 forever while other bikes may come and go.
I agree, you either get it or you don't, I started with mini bikes, dirt bikes, honda 305, 72 and 74 H2 750's, 600 ninja, and more, but at this time in my life my 2013 CB1100 is perfect, it reminds me of the old days but with tune and exhaust it will pull just the way i want it to. Solid at 75 and nimble through downtown. I think more experienced riders get it. Comparing these bikes to the the high horsepower fire breathing death machines of today at any level is not relevant. I mean there was one video about does this bike fit your height, jeez no one told me at 6' 2 I was to tall for my honda 305. You get on a bike, you ride it and the rest is just fun, if not get a car.
@@Kyocera234 In the mid '70s I was riding a CB550F a bike I bought new and still have. I bought the CB1100 back in December of 2017 when I saw it sitting on the showroom floor for $6,199. It's a time machine taking me back to the old 550 but with fuel injection and better brakes (not to mention the power bump.) A set of Arrow headers and the 70s are back every time I take her for a spin. I'll never sell her and if God forbid I am no longer able to ride I can still look at her. I may have to move her into the living room when the time comes.
To my mind this is a very nice and relaxed cruiser which brings back memories of the original CB750 of the late 1960s and 1970s. It looks very nice and might appeal to those who are nostalgic about the old naked bikes. I owned a 1990s CB750 F in Black and it looked sort of similar. The CB750 F got me out and about and was very reliable with hydraulic tappets but that was not that exciting too. Once I got used to this I got quite a lot of use out of it and just like your CB1100, it was a nice bike to look at. Thanks for showing it to us again.
I have one, black, spoked alloys, yes it's smooth but it won't bite you, its exactly what i like,😊 with as much power as you'll ever need, i love mine and it's a crowd pleaser,
Congratulations for the video, I'm thinking of changing my ST1300 paneuropean with a 2020 cb110ex but the weight scares me (255kg) and your statements about the lack of protection from the wind at high speed. Otherwise it's very nice.
Aesthetically this is my favourite bike ever, just love it. But for sure, it is heavy. A smaller version maybe? 600 go 800cc. And yes two exhausts, i like simmetry when possible
I have both the gsx1400 and the cb1100 and neither have a gear indicator on them but you know what gear you are in just looking at the tachometer and speedo ,, the dry weight of the gsx1400 is 229 kilos and the wet weight of the cb1100 is 249 kilos yet the Honda still feels much lighter as it seems to have a lower CENTER of gravity. But you can't go wrong with either one as they are both air oil cooled. They won't corrode out like many water cooled motors. I'm still very happy to ride my Honda and it always makes me smile at 70 years of age. Cheers mate andy from Australia
@@Budget-Cars-And-Bikes thanks for your great video it's great to see someone who has a brain and doesn't talk rubbish about motorcycles and is not an artificial voice, keep riding and enjoy life Andy from Australia 👍
I have put a deposit down for a CB1100RS. Bought it just for how it looks particularly the air cooled engine with 4 down pipes. I think the original 4 into 2 exhaust looks great and better than the arrows aftermarket (which does sound better). Plan is to add and keep as part of collection😊
You have a strange opinion on power. The cb1100 has plenty of power. It revs high and it's pretty quick. I came from a Honda vtx 1300 and the CB1100 felt fast. It feels light too. Perfect for my needs, putting around town mostly. I guess perspective is everything.
I think it might be more a case of lack of torque, rather than BHP on these, in my humble opiion you shouldn't need to rev high on a big "Muscle Bike" which this is trying to be in some respects. But thanks for your comments 😁
@@henry9zingaro217 It really depends on if it's a private sale, or from a dealer with warranty, obviously time of Year can be a huge factor too, as dealers tend to drop prices quite a bit in the Winter Months.
Thanks for the comments, I have to say I didn't see any menu for the gear indicator on my bike? the price was talked about on the first walk around video 😁

I like the 70's vibe the chrome gives. And the engine vibes? They were engineered in to be more characterful!

In Spain a used CB1100 will run you €8000. For that price I would just buy the CB600F.
wow! that's crazy money for an 11 Year old Honda 🙃
