Mark Hamill in the late 90s is so weird. You can see hints of him as his younger self during the original trilogy and as his older self now. So odd seeing a middle aged mark hamill
When they re-released Star Wars in the late 90s I took my older daughter who was about nine or 10 and I remember her watching it and turning to me and going “why haven’t you told me about this before”? I had never been prouder of her!
True. Seeing the latest Disney trilogy, I wished many times that Lucas had gone for some sequels instead of the prequels back then (even if I kind of like them despite their many flaws). It wouldn't have been guaranteed to be good, but Lucas would have known better than Disney by focusing on the main cast and have them all reunited for good (still can't believe that Disney missed having the old cast all together at least for one scene...).
@Ablin Reko *It's too late for Disney - **_Disney_** is the one that humiliated and destroyed Luke Skywalker **_(to the point that Mark Hamill knows this and hates Disney)_** so their "Mandalorian" show should be ignored.* *I boycotted it and they shouldn't be given a second chance after what they did to Luke.*

They should have done the star wars sequels in the late 90s while the originally cast was much younger, then done the prequel trilogy later.
It’s nice to see the young days of Conan Edit:I’m seeing few comments saying he wasn’t young but he was in his early 40s at the time which is still reasonably young. Stay safe
Younger Conan, still being a friend and helper to all his guests younger middle age Mark Hamill being the person we all know Luke is/was and should have been
What I see when I watch this interview is a missed opportunity. The sequel trilogy should have been made 1997-2005 and the prequels later in the 2010s. We would have gotten much better older versions of Luke, Han, and Lea in 1997 and the sequel trilogy could have been about them as main characters together on screen again 20 years after the original Star Wars. They were all too old by the time The Force Awakens was made.
What they should have done is make both the sequel and the prequel trilogies around the same time: late 90's / early 2000s... And then a second set of sequels right around this time the sequels were made, that way they had the oportunity to go into the direct sequels and change/modify/adapt whatever was required in stead of choping and butchering like they have done with the originals and prequels, also beacause the sequels would have been fresh, closer to the OT and directly because of that truer to the original trilogy and if they did something around this time that would also stay truer to the original movies and fresher... Another thing George Lucas missed the oportunity big time, in my opinion, was to include original actors like Mark Hamill not in their role but as Skywalker family members for example, maybe another cousin or uncle to uncle Owen and Shmi or something like that, that way we get to see more of the resemblance of the Skywalker family, [like they did with Michael J. Fox and Leah thompson on Back To The Future for example.]
The sequels are nothing but a cash grab sadly, when George made the movies, he genuinely loved his universe that he had created, Disney just need money
