Been watching your journey from the beginning through now. First off, I tuned in on racer X to watch all of your races as well as Jimmy’s at Loretta’s. You guys did awesome. Jimmy pulling the holeshot was great. Watching this video, you certainly looked comfortable on the 450. For me at 63 years old I prefer my 250, as the 450 is just to powerful. I think you should probably go with the 2025 Honda 450, but keep the 250 if you can. All the best in the future and I’ll being cheering you guys on from Nova Scotia, Canada.

Interesting results! All of the motocross media outlets have done this test with 450/350/250 displacement bikes and had the opposite results in every test… maybe it’s the west coast dirt? Excellent content… Best of luck for 2025! Those new Honda’s should be really good…

Thank you so much!!! And I know it’s crazy .. I’m not sure if it’s a west coast thing but it was super fun to test! Lol. Have the best day !

Yea the 450 is the way to go. Best for older guys. We tend to point and shoot, rather than rail the corners anymore. When you start acceleration from the apex of the corner, the 450 will get you there. I did a similar video earlier in the year on my 2 stroke 250 vs a 450F. It was a little of a setup, since I had ridden the 250 for the last 25 years, and it was maybe my third time ever on a modern 4 stroke. My times were about equal, and I only rode the 450 about 3 laps, compared to my best time all day on the 2 stroke. The very first time EVER on a 4 stroke a couple of years ago, I beat my lap time on the 2 stroke after riding about 10 mins, and I wasn't really trying to go fast. Actually in both cases that was true, since I was riding another guys bike and I didn't want to fall on it and was being very careful.

A simple rule; the less skill you have the bigger the gap between your 250 and 450 times.
Linking up under powered at LL is a ok unless you care about where you finish.
You should get a 450 and don’t waste your time on any other bike.

What about 350 for the uncommitted lol. I'm a noob so sticking with 250 for now.

I’ve heard the 350 is really an amazing bike … I am just such a Honda fan and I’ve never felt comfortable on any of the KTM or Gas Gas etc models ever. So it could be in my head lol. If Honda made a 350 I’d really consider it … the 250 is an amazing bike and is super fun! But I feel way more at home on the 450 and for the most part when faster everywhere. But love the 250! Keep crushing it. !

Bro, not trying to troll you but your suspension still need fixing!!!! It is costing your gains, promoting arm pump etc....you need to find a new suspension guy or work close with them to fix your setup

@@dogger2186 thanks my friend I appreciate you. We’ve done quite a bit and the bike is pretty twitchy and unstable when I’m on it. Could be me could be the bike. Dozens of set ups, different valving, springs ,, took your suggestions also. Nothing stops it from swapping. But also Jimmy races it this weekend and won both of his classes by 20 seconds lol. So there’s a lot of work to do all around. But the 24 Honda seems to be a bit of an unpredictable and unstable platform to begin with. Well just keep going but also probably starting over with another more stable bike

@@MahansRacing I understand about the 24 Honda and handling issue. They can be fixed though...I get it no one is perfect and everyone rides differently...I watch you videos and I see you fighting to soft of suspension with forks that are moving way to quick in the rebound stroke causing the front to hunt and not settle and to bounce you on landings when you are not on the throttle. You need to get your body more center forward and head always over the cross bar so the bike is not always pulling you and forcing you to hang on blowing your arms out. There is a sweet spot that you need to get in front of if that makes sense. Can you send me your Suspension Valving specs and spring rates?

You gotta be 140lbs and under to make a 250f work against all those 450s
