I’m not sponsored by go pro or Dji. I back go pro. I own all the go pros. Been through every bad thing on thing and learned how to fix them. Why Dji is being a threat kinda new to action cam but not really. They have the drone the phantom it came with a camera so they have knowledge. However. To me go pro is the way. From 5 to 8 batteries are the same 9 to 11 same battery. The different on eyes. Dji has more glass to break. I’m just a go pro user but again go pro to me the camera has been bashed thrown ran over. Crash in cars on bikes. On drones. Try the Dji in the same settings. Would it last. …you could go on n on about which is better. But it just depends on what people can afford. And like. I have a friend still using a go pro 4.
Did you use the DJI app at all? I'm curious how it compares to the GoPro app. I'm a huge fan of the GoPro cloud, and I don't know if I would consider switching unless the other camera/app had something similar in place. Thanks for the awesome breakdown!
As a matter of principle, I'd rather support the American based company rather than a Chinese based company who likely "acquired" the IP and technology from the former
@@ethanrevitch it's more of a guess since IP theft is rampant in the tech sectors. I personally know many principles who have told me this has been a problem for years- they set up plants in China, then the plants simply stop making the products for them and sell them under their own brand (typically flagship products), leaving the companies without recourse. These companies are so fully invested that they just accept the loss as cost of doing business. A locally based national window manufacturer I know just closed shop for this same reason
@@rowenhorner7353 I don’t fully disagree with you. I have supported DJI and GoPro for years. I’d say someone needs to break it down and look at every individual piece.

I'm thinking about choosing dji OA3 or hero 11. Complicated menu is not a problem for me (I use sony a74 on a daily work, so 😂), but the significant difference in dynamic range and more details in the video makes me not know whether to take the risk and buy a dji, but I'm afraid of being disappointed. I have been using the sony x3000 for years and its strongest points are the colors, a lot of details even at night, but it is old, stabilization not good, I want something new 🙂Great channel, I will be visiting it intensively from now on 😅
I think coming from the X3000, you're gonna be happy with either the DJI or the Hero 11.
FWIW, I am planning to do some tests with the OA3 with its "pro" settings and see how the compares.
@@mtb_alan I'm interested to see your "pro" settings comparison! @SuspensionTraveler did a video a couple days ago going through the settings on the DJI comparing it to the Hero 11. He has links to all his settings in the description. I hope that helps kick start your review
Thanks!
gopro quality looks so much better
🤘🏾
You lose me at magnetic parts. After loosing and having to find my GoPro 10 when it came off the magnetic mount That came with my helmet. I will take more durability and security any day.
I hear you. FWIW, the magnet is partly there to make it easier to align the clips.
We need a wireless remote control for it ... I bought GoPro 11 just because of that reason... it's very convenient 😢
Good point. 👌🏾
hey man I love ur videos but what’s up with your nails?!?
Why do you ask?
Lol “hit stuff” hear that 🤙🏻
Hahahaha the answer is we dont know but likenthe dji xP
like, you shared awesome masterpiece-dear! ;))

I haven't used the DJI app. I do all my editing on desktop.
But I've heard the DJI app is pretty good.
I prefer the app much more than GoPro, but I use it for a different audience than you do. The AI editor for making quick shorts is amazing, though.
As a matter of principle, I'd rather support the American based company rather than a Chinese based company who likely "acquired" the IP and technology from the former
I don't know about any IP theft, but I hear what you're saying about supporting US based companies.
How do you suppose they’re even getting the IP? And how do you suppose the IP even helps them?
@@rowenhorner7353 I agree that IP theft is a real thing and that it's good to support US companies. In this case though, we're speculating. Without any specific info, IP theft is not relevant to a discussion about DJI.
Love how detailed the review is! really seems like you have spent time with both of them and compared all the specs and features. I am still running my HERO 7 black and and will wait for it to die before I think about an upgrade lol. Subbed.
Thanks for the sub!
The 7 is a solid machine!
Best review! Honestly like the coloring of the GoPro better. But color correcting in editing is a thing so…great job!
Thanks! Glad you dug it.
Yeah...funny how things are nicer when you work for it. :)
3 grams is a lot in cocaine
You're not wrong.
