This was my Frist Elvis-record. I did not linke the german singer so 2 days later my girlfriend and me were always singing it. More than 50 years later I am still one of bis greatest fans.

Love these outtakes! It shows how recording used to be...everyone at the same time in the studio, with hot mikes, and nothing between you and the engineers-no auto-tune pitch correction or junk like that. Add a bit of compression or echo to the final mix if desired and ship that master OUT!

@@gregmark1688 He didn't write 'All Shook Up", that was written by Otis Blackwell for Elvis, Elvis was just credited as a co-writer because he may or may not have changed a word or two. I think it was just a legal thing, Otis Blackwell recorded his demo version for Elvis, so.. go figure. Then "Love Me Tender" was based on a traditional called "Aura Lee" and was adapted for Elvis by Vera Watson, same thing, Elvis didn't write it, maybe he only arranged it somewhat to his own style. The other three songs from the Love Me Tender soundtrack are also credited to Vera Watson and Elvis, but I highly doubt that Elvis had a lot to do with the actual writing. Paralyzed was also written by Otis Blackwell for Elvis, same thing as with All Shook Up, it was very common to give artists / singers some of the writing credits, it was part of the deal sometimes. You'll Be Gone (Girl Happy soundtrack bonus) was written by Red West and Charlie Hodge, Elvis may or may not have had some hand in it, who knows. "That's Someone You Never Forget" is another one, written by Red West (who was actually a Nashville songwriter back then) and this was only based on an idea Elvis had. Red West worked in into a song. So... there you have it, 9 songs (not actually) written by Elvis Presley. And he didn't need to, because the best songs were offered to him anyway.
I once heard a quote, idk who said it friend or song writer of Elvis; but he said by the time Elvis was done messing with things in a song he might as well have written it.

Love the photos from his 1956 photo shoot. The photo of Elvis without a shirt on is a photo I’ve never seen before. He looks like a baby.
It's great to hear these outtakes, its like being there in the studio.....and this is such an excellent song by Elvis..
Honestly any one of these could pass, but the fact he kept going until perfection shows why he is the king.
This is the sort of stuff that explains why I love this man so much, they didn't call him The King for nothing.

He actually wrote (and published) nine songs, including two of his all time biggest hits, 'Love Me Tender', and 'All Shook Up'. Just fyi. :)
