DAMN Doug Spradlin with 3 idols and no one coming after him despite being the obvious big threat. Dude deserves MAJOR props for a game very well played

I share Ange's exasperation at everyone else's unwillingness to go after the power players.
But finally, a non-unanimous voteout. After letting Sadie have her way with the Amanda vote last week, Doug imposed his will this week to get out Josh. The first real blood in a war between the two primary power players of the season in Doug and Sadie. I wonder if the reason Doug is not afraid to keep Sadie in the game is because he feels so safe from having 3 idols. I know that Doug doesn't want to ruffle Sadie's feathers and that they've been super close, but I've got to believe that if Doug didn't have any idols, he would be more willing to blindside Sadie. We live in the universe where Doug has 3 idols though, so Doug is able to keep his options open for longer because he has that safety net.
    Looking forward to Episode 12!

Angie's best/only move is girls alliance to final 4, and then convince the weak 2 that Sadie is unbeatable if they stick with her?

Every single person this episode pointed out who was in power and who makes decisions. This is honestly worse because I thought they didn’t know, but they do know. I think I finally understand the importance of getting a group of strangers over a shorter period of time because personal relationships are the biggest roadblocks to aggressive gameplay.
Also why is everyone upset with Ange for doing for doing what she needs to do. She is playing aggressive out of necessity and a desire to win while everyone around her thinks they are in a better position (and some of them are right while others are definitely wrong.)
This was the moment to take out Doug since everyone knows he has multiple idols, but instead we are voting out Josh or Dain. I was Ange when Santi said Josh was a threat. To who??? In challenges?? Bonds??? Idols??? He has literally no one and influence over no one as Ange pointed out. If you want to get rid of Sadies numbers, get rid of her or at least Abbie. You save Josh and solidify him as an ally.

This was the chance but the numbers just weren't there unless they pulled in literally EVERYONE outside of doug/santi/tim/sadie - & even then someone was going to rat. Terrible lol

Hopefully more consideration will be taken in the future about really making sure to not cast roommates. We saw it this season twice and I believe once last season. I know it’s a college campus, but these roommates are literally fearing ruining their personal relationships if they turn on each other in a GAME. Hoping something changes in the casting process because I really love the survivor Maryland series and don’t want to see it suffer because of things like this.

Abbie: “I’m not voting out of fear. I just..don’t know you.” Lol I love her comments at tribal. I’m disappointed that no one is offering big names like Sadie or the triple idol guy. And they all know each other? Having roommates didn’t help this season. I can’t remember the name of the guy with all of the idols, but he’s probably going to win. I’d like to see Ange win.

Ange gives me huge Michele Fitzlegend in winners at war vibes and I absolutely love it - but I could see a misguided jury giving her no votes in the end because they just won’t respect the underdog game and may outright blame her for her position on the bottom of the merge tribe

  • @AAM-pv1he

you have 6 people with zero chance against any of 3 people who make it to the end, yet seem intent on picking each other off. Endgame seems to be who can keep their 2 most loyal minions by final 5. To not make the end with 3 idols would take monumental incompetence, tho

    Guess for next week:
Tim says let’s get rid of Sadie, Doug and Santi say no. Ange tries to get rid of Doug or Sadie, but Santi doesn’t bite. And all of this culminates into Ange going home as she pleas for her life unless she wins immunity and Abbie/Dale Aram go home. I would hope for a chance Tim and Ange flip but there is no way Tim votes with Sadie. And if Ange is eligible she is probably gone even if Santi tries to save her

:( might tune out until the finale. Doug was a blast to root for initially, but having 3 idols and doing nothing with the power he has is just...boring. Same with Sadie. I genuinely don’t know who to root for and who to root against.
Hopefully the casting process was revamped for future seasons. As always, tons of love to the production for putting it all together.

  • @crazyass99

Another interesting episode but another vote that I feel was moreso Doug vs Sadie and cutting away one of their numbers instead of directly targeting each other.
I feel like Ange was the voice of the people in this episode talking about the groups sticking together as each vote has seemingly been just cutting the bottom people while the players in control remain in control and are aligned but are jut undermining each other by taking out potential allies from them.
With Doug now having 3 idols and seemingly the majority I think he still has a stranglehold on the game and the only way he doesn't win is if he is the person out before final tribal for being too big of a threat. I think the girls alliance will be picked off then Dain, followed by a potential Doug vote out at F4 then a F3 of Santi, Tim and Ange. If it is a F2 then Tim out at 3. I just feel like we have seen so much of this Santi-Ange pairing that it feels like it has major endgame significance. It could be just because that relationship was the cornerstone of this vote as Ange was the swing but I think all the setup we had on it earlier on could mean it is a late game pair and a potential F2. I am interested if we will get more of picking off allies in Abbie or Dale Aram or if they will finally take a shot at a power player in Sadie. I just don't see how Doug is not at least in the finale now with 3 idols.

Doug with 50% chance to be immune until F4 assuming he's average in the field challenge wise (1 - (7/8)(6/7)(5/6)(4/5)). If he loses the F8 challenge, he's 43% (1 - (6/7)(5/6)(4/5)) for guaranteed F4 if he plays an idol for safety at 8. Ofc it's better to have multiple idols at 5 than one but I think I'd start playing them at 8 to avoid an even more epic James Clement style fail.

Anders seems to have learned his lesson from last season and not have Dizzy Bat be three feet away from a very large hill. And be honest, did you move the Pole Challenge to the Final 8 because Ange has a very strong chance of winning that one? (I would’ve done the same thing lol)

  • @codys3084

this has to be the most boring season of college survivor i've ever seen lol & no disrespect to doug but he's not a likeable or rootable main character, so I think the amount of screentime he's getting is also hurting my enjoyment.
Thank god for Ange, the only likeable & rootable character left (imo) - watching her be the only one that Doug & the majority can't schmooze over & her calling out their BS was amazing. I don't like her decision but I understand it. This maybe buys her a little more time to infiltrate some cracks.
I don't ever tune out midway through a season but if Ange leaves anytime soon this is gonna be a hard season to finish.
If there's a f2 instead of a f3 this season Tim is just begging to be cut at third place. I'm not really sure what his game is besides minioning for doug/santi. Can we speed this season up & start the next one?
