  • President Vladimir Putin's ongoing invasion of Ukraine has led to a tightening of dictatorial powers within Russia. Free speech is virtually non-existent and the public realm is now dominated by outspoken nationalists, who want more war, not less.

Honestly 95% of all Americans don't even consider Russia as a competitor. It's weird to see how so many Russian still lives in the 80s mindset.

To the guy who suggested nuclear options against America…. How do you think that would play out? Like, for everyone. Worldwide. Nuclear attacks should not even be a last resort. And the fact that it’s even an option and comes up as just a “matter fact” is mind boggling.

She said "If we could redirect our nukes at America's cities, we would have peace and quiet now". The level of cognitive dissonance is mind boggling.

I feel like the artist who painted the US soldiers is actually some kind of triple agent. Someone said that his paintings romanticize American soldiers and his response was basically "shut up ur stupid"

When she said “follow us on RUclips”. LOL. Protesting American control of Russia on an American company (RUclips). Fundies really are stupid.

Chizkov has gotta be the greatest troll in Russia. Dude spent hours upon hours painting American soldiers looking awesome with gay sunglasses and actually got it exhibited in the headquarters of Wagner lmao

Not surprising those ineligible for conscription are most enthusiastic about the war (women, older men and politicians). “War is sweet to those have never tasted it.”

It’s a strange mix between wanting to believe your government is evil and out to get you but not the guy who is actually leading that government and has broad control over the state

That woman calling a costume nuke "beautiful" might be one of the most deranged and psychopathic things ive ever heard.

A little sociology from Russia: as a Russian, I can say that most of the Russian youth either fully support Ukraine or want an end to the war, many are aware of who is the aggressor in this situation. Especially girls, it seems to me that 9 out of 10 young women are very critical of government actions. With the male half, everything is more complicated, in Russia many men were brought up in a traditional masculine culture, with a cult of war and the state, so even among young people many men support the army and the military and the special operation (although most guys are critical of the state - the position is widespread that Putin did not prepare the army for war, that the command was inept, etc.). Among the older generation, there are much more supporters of the government, the older the more. Also, as in other countries, older people are more prone to racism and xenophobia. Try to imagine a situation when your relative of the older generation says the phrase "why do these Ukrainian women give birth at all."

They talk big about nukes until they have one staring right back at them. They must want thr whole world to end I guess.

It is always interesting to notice the complete disconnect between advanced language skills and analytical thinking skills. This is also the phenomenon that lifts so many stupid and ignorant people into becoming politicians. They know how to talk so that they can build a political platform via media but they aren't analytical so that they can make good decisions. Too many of these politicians around.....
