    Olthoff was an all-american last year and looks like he's headed straight to MLB. This is what it looks like when an MLB-talent pitcher faces a college team. Look up some of Stephen Strasburg's game footage when he was at SDSU, same thing, he goes through the opposing lineup like the Germans went through France.

      If you look up this pitcher (Braden Olthoff) and pull up an article related to this incident, he says that it's because there's a bubble there and he pushes down on it. Whether that's the truth, we will never know, but the umpires didn't find anything.

    He could just like his glove a little looser and hes fixing it each through.
    I remember when I played as a kid i did the same thing, pushing it there pushes the whole gloves back into the palm of your hand. Would be a bad spot to put tar anyways since its usually... you know.. where the ball ends up when you catch it. It would be obvious after a few pitches since it would eventually coat the ball.

      I’m guessing touching it removes any moisture but keeps any tacky gunk or dirt you get from just being outside. Also keeps that glove a lil snug. I know one ha team we played was using a glove he said he spilled some cola in and was using it

    The glove touching is likely compulsive and just a tick to help him stay focused....we all have them in one way or the other. I used to adjust my glove and hat alot after pitches, its a method for coping with the stress on the mound. Also, this guys pitches are gnarly as all hell...very cool.
