Lots of ammo and missiles will hold the tide for a short time and she doesn't have the option of self detonation with a nuke as a last resort. So yes you're right. Armor would help a lot until they overwhelm your position with numbers. She was just unlucky. Should have had backup on standby. Anyways. They punched holes in the meta walls around her. So armor won't do much up close.

Pretty "meh" animation for a 2012 movie. The decent-but-not-great quality models and textures combined with sluggish and clunky movements make it look more like a video game cinematic than a moive... and the lip-sync is just terrible (I will take that back if this was released primarily under a different language).
