I love how Ada is always aware of her surroundings and uses them to her advantage. The table, the henchman’s pistol, the pitcher, and the knife. She also uses distractions too. She’s truly one of the greatest spies.
And one of the greatest human fighters in the RE Universe along with Jill Valentine, Chris Redfield and Leon Kennedy. Unfortunately, she narrowly lost to a human fighter who is actually a President of a country. In fact, the human fighter that Ada Wong lost to maybe the best human fighter of the RE series.
Heels AND pencil skirts! I can probably do heels, since it could be like those “rib-jabbing” pen shaped things (forgot what those were called) but skirt? I’m gonna spend most of that fight trying to keep it from rising too much.
If she knew they were going to take her she wouldn't have put up a fight at all. She wasn't aware they were going to take her to the facility, even tries to escape out the door while the president is distracted. Ada's goal was to subdue the president and force her to take her down to the facility, hence why she disarms the guard and attempts to point the gun at her. Ada is genuinely outclassed in that fight and realized she could not defeat her, hence why she gave Leon the tip that her bite is worse than her bark.
Chris will stop at nothing to make his sister reproduce. Nothing else matters to him. Just ask Jill that keeps getting friendzoned from the mansion's times.

One of the best animated fight scenes I have seen, and it stands up to even today standards for me. The President whose name is Svetlana reminds me of Balalika a bit from Black Lagoon. I actually wished she appeared again the follow up film (Vendetta) but this was the better movie for me, and she felt like the better villain.
One of the only RE villains who could fight Ada and Leon to a standstill in hand to hand combat and did not resort to transformation. Let that sink in!
Actually, she did beat Ada Wong in a squeaker. Remember she took the knife from Ada Wong and slit Ada's jacket and trapped Ada Wong. So technically, I would give it to the President but in a squeaker. Ada Wong did held her own in the fight though.

This might be my favorite portrayal of Ada I've seen in a long time, she never loses her sassiness, even when her back is against the wall, she's calm and smiles. She always keeps that flirty voice she always puts on.

A way to see whether one combatant is better than the other is to see how much energy they expend during combat. The less they use, the more skilled they are. While Ada is skilled, her moves use far more energy than that of her opponent, making her technique look sloppy by comparison.
Sveltana is much more refined. But I personally think Ada’s agility gives her a massive advantage. If the body gaurd weren’t there I’m assuming she would’ve just found a way to escape

I like the fact that Ada learned from Leon's advice to her in Resident Evil 4 "Bit of advice, try using knives next time works better for close encounters" although can be foolish enough to use it to a still professional instructor.
Oh man what makes this fight scene even better is that its easy on the eyes. When the president and ada are fighting majority of the time Ada is on the right side of the screen while the president is on the left. So the audience can focus easier on the movement instead of having both characters constantly spinning around and doing fast movements. Which is why imo the knife part where the president is on the defence is really good because you can see how shes moving the knife away and then disarms ada and almost gets a good jab.
The one thing I cant help but think back on... Ada did take Leon's notion of keeping knives for close quarters to heart. After all, first chance she got, she went for a blade.

I wasn't expecting fight choreography of this level when I first saw this movie. I was surprised and pretty impressed. I wish the presidents fight with Leon was a little longer though but movie was pretty damn good.
I really hope they upgrade Leon’s and Ada’s relationship. Chemistry is a there but the cat chasing mouse thing is kind of out reach. Maybe Leon helps Ada cut lose all ends from her past?

@Solomon Guile what do you mean 'original feats'? Feats she's done on earier games? She's beaten Tyrant and nemesis. Both are extremely strong and fast. Im not familiar with what nina did in death by degrees, but in tekken all she seems to do is fight with her sister.
I wasn't expecting fight choreography of this level when I first saw this movie. I was surprised and pretty impressed. I wish the presidents fight with Leon was a little longer though but movie was pretty damn good.

Lily Wong Jill fought against Nemesis and other biological monsters and survive. That president is good but she ain't surviving against someone who is use to head on confrontation like Jill. Ada is a spy, while she's very capable in CQC it's not her specialty.

silver497 Yes but Jill still fought and won against Nemesis, i doubt a president who has some skills in CQC will survive against Nemesis. Specially when she isn't even an active soldier like Jill is.
And spy or assassin's specialty isn't in CQC, they can fight when the situation calls for it, but that's about it.
