Sorry to hear that. Women have been lying about abuse by men since humans could speak in sentences. There’s such a false accusation in the bible, even. Claims would be reduced to almost nothing if there were equity in anonimity (both parties or neither) and replacing financial compensation with restorative justice. I don’t see either eventuality on the horizon; quite the opposite. This is big business.

I got 2 years for affray because some lass lied. A guy lied too but they didn't use his testimony in court for the prosecution. I was advised by my solicitor to plead guilty, she was right, if that had gone to a jury I sounded like a monster. (I was initially charged with a public order offence, maximum 6 months, which I fully accept I was guilty of, but CPS decided to upgrade the charges to affray, maximum 4 years, and move it to Crown Court because of the lies)
@@irreverend_ Blackbelt barrister has just published a video about "admitting to something that you never did". Unfortunately the legal system seems geared to getting people to admit to something that they didn't do merely to get a result. If you continue to maintain your innocence they will throw the full weight of the legal system at you without questioning the validity of the original allegations. Unfortunately admission of lesser guilt merely reinforces their belief that you are guilty - cos you just admitted it. Essentially you are between a rock and a hard place: damned if you do damned if you don't. The only solution & wisdom is to walk away from the first sniff of "something that is not quite right". Easy to say but very hard to detect and also actually do.
Doesn't look like she's finished yet. Of course she will never leave him alone. How anyone with eyes and ears can believe her is astonishing.
true, although, I wonder what the split is, the ratio of those who truly believe her, versus those who just use her media visibility to gain more of the same, in other words they are just hopping on the crazy band wagon to get themselves noticed. There's plenty of those types around, and in different issues too. Like some of the flat earthers for example, I know for a fact that there's a few out there who are absolutely using it for media attention who know the earth is round, I don't know whose worse, the true believers or the parasites. Probably the parasites.
I'm a Leftie and I'm disappointed by the reaction of the Leftie press to this trial. They were pretty fucking quiet about the abuse that Depp suffered at the hands of Amber Turd but when she took the stand they reported every single lie.

I really hate how the word 'survivor' has been completely misappropriated.
Indeed, like the word 'triggered' which originally had an important and legitimate meaning for those clinically diagnosed with PTSD.

Freedom of speech in the US is to protect you from the government not from other people. It also does not protect you from the consequences of your speech.
The second part is right, if you break the law by defamation, there might be consequences.
The first part is not entirely true. Freedom of speech is the right to criticise anybody, within the confines of the law, government including.
Some exceptions are; defamation, slander, libel, inciting violence etc

The responses tell you everything about ‘victim’ culture these days ! People actually enjoy being victimised because it makes them relevant. Why would all of these people try to attach themselves to something that has nothing to do with them if it’s not just to ride on the coattails of the verdict for their own self promotion? It seems that many people from certain minority groups actually want to keep racism, and misogyny and sexism alive and well because they profit in some way from. It’s fair to say that if someone constantly shouts out about being oppressed and victimised then they aren’t oppressed and victimised ! They just want to be.

As a woman & the mother of a young woman, I really hope Marilyn Manson also manages to clear his name. I'm genuinely the survivor or DV & nothing of what that vile woman said on the stand made sense. Furthermore her reaction to the verdict made even less. If she had been genuinely a victim, she would have been confused, frightened & inconsolable at not being believed, not apologising for letting other women down.
Absolutely, 100% spot on. And yes, hoping things go well for Manson, although that's going to be a much tougher fight seeing as Evan Rachel Wood can actually act. With any luck though, she'll be nailed by the Feds due to her involvement in *impersonating* the FBI as part of her conspiracy against MM. (Yes, really -- it's pretty wild).
Manson has a number of women accusing him unlike Depp.

Manson & Depp are really, really close friends to the point that Manson is Lilly Roses godfather. What I find curious was the fact that Amber Heard tried multiple times before the case to get it thrown out. That’s not the actions of a victim of abuse. That’s the actions of someone that did the abusing. If she was a victim of abuse she would have never tried to get it thrown out and welcome her day in court to share her story.

Whatever you think of the verdict it doesn’t affect the everyday situation of normal people, male or female, who are facing abuse. The lives of celebrities don’t bleed in to any positive results for others. A woman’s claims against a man should always be taken seriously and investigated, that’s not the same as being automatically accepted as the objective truth.
Abuse is mankind’s normal - there is nothing new under the sun AND all things are common to man - NO one is exempt - being an enabler is no better than being the perpetrator

I honestly feel like there's 2 kinds of people. People who support Amber Heard, and people that watched the trial. (I suppose there's people that just don't give a shit, but whatever)
I didn't watch the whole thing, but I watched a lot of the key testimonies. I was never really a Depp fan (I liked Jack Sparrow, but I was never really on Depp's "side") going in, and was only vaguely aware of the accusations against him made by Heard several years prior, but I wasn't really in the loop. In summary, I had no dog in the fight.
By the end, frankly, it was obnoxiously obvious who the real villain was, and it's Ms Heard. No sane, rational person who watched the trial could come to any different conclusion. They might lend lesser or greater weight to differing pieces of evidence, but overall, the only conclusion that can reasonably be reached is that Heard is, on balance, the worse person.
And if you wanna talk about the effect on women, all I will say is that if I were a teenage girl, thinking about the kind of woman I wanted to be when I grew up, then Ms Vasquez would be a great place to start when looking for role models, she (and the rest of Depp's team) did an exemplary job.
The Guardian was once a decent paper, now its become the woke Daily Mail, All political spin ,little analysis of the truth.
