Love this!! Great thoughts from Rachel. ❤ Interesting that when some of us gals on Convivial Circle were discussing on about how social media distracts us, someone mentioned Rachel Jankovic, and how she encourages women to use social media faithfully and intentionally. I like how she said, we do need to know our own temptations and our own tendencies. I am one of those who is tempted with discontentment and envy when I see others on social media. This was a great idea to interview her, Mystie! 🎉
After a mom has repented to her family (teens &preteens) with how much time spent on apps/phone? How do you turn the ship around with kids perspectives of the phone being a useful tool and not an escape?
It's a discipleship process, not a quick fix. Talk, talk, talk with them - for years on end. We train our kids by walking alongside them, modeling for them what to do when we mess up. We don't have to be perfect to be a good model. Everyone needs the process of repenting and restoration and trying again modeled for them as well. God finishes the process of sanctification, not us. 💜

I was wondering what were the apps Rachel mentioned - like the one to keep track of things
