He plays live his own composition "Mozarteen influence" in 1987 in DDR East Germany with Berlin simphony Radio Orchestra directed by Christian Kolonovits.
After I advice to find in RUclips how Jose plays Jimi Hendrix "Purple Haze"... better than original.. No one guitarist can do it, only Jose!

Incredible how he is able to memorize the entire symphony w/o any aide as he is blind. Puts the rest of us to shame. What an amazing gift!
What's really amazing is that he composed the piece for the entire orchestra. Each insturment has different requirements and creating a unified work is daunting. Think in terms of Joaquin Rodrigo and his magnificent work -- Concierto de Aranjuez.

His talent and mastery of the guitar never ceases to amaze me. I've seen him with the San Antonio Pops Orchestra and it was a performance I will always remember. He did his rendition of Malaguena and got a standing ovation. This is quite a performance AND done by memory and not being able to look at his fingering!!! Bravo, Jose Feliciano......

Jose is a master with the guitar and such a creative mind.
I play guitar and yeah most of the time I don't look where my fingers are but every once in a while I need to, why, insecurity, assurance, who knows, so my hat's off to blind people who can paly any musical instrument. Jose is not only a great guitarist and singer, but composer and he CAN"T see where his fingers are!!! Love you man.

It's achievable.to acquire without the music score,,not to detract from Jose's eclectic ability's to tackle anything except to get deeper into the world of classical guitar,he doesn't need to!Jose's guitar playing and singing is nothing short of phenomenal,only the pioneers like Kazuhito Yamashita and Paco de Lucia-sadly now deceased, Alirio Diaz,Liona Boyd,Julian Bream John Williams,Galina Vale and Christopher Parkening stood out likeJose has!

En verdad hay que darle un gran mérito a este virtuoso de la guitarra, porque Lo que hizo en este video es sumamente difícil, y a pesar de que es invidente, lo hizo tremendamente bien.
que sea 'invidente' NO lo hace menos que nadie! por el contrario... él tiene claro que lo último que se necesita para hacer y tocar música, es 'ver' ...la propiocepción, topognosia y estereognosia y el aprendizaje auditivo, es lo que sí es importante para un músico. J. Feliciano lo tenía todo!👏👏👏🎶👍

Thanks to Mackenna's Gold which introduce me Jose Feliciano at the Age of 65. I saw the film at my age about 20 and remembered the song 'Old Turkey Buzzard .... ' Now I'm 65 and at leisure to find Jose Feliciano ...... using the song I remembered always in my life path ......

Oh yes he could. Go back to his Fireworks album. One of the best renditions of G.F. Handel's work I've ever heard, even better than this one. And he did that almost 50 years ago. JMHO

First of all, it's all memorized (dah) let's see if anyone else in the orchestra could do that. He's amazing. Check out his Maleguena if you want to see something unbelievable. He has such diversity and soul, everything he does is great. Takes songs like Light My Fire, Billy Jean and makes them his own. Plus whenever he plays with any other guitarist, he cuts them to shreds.Simply the best!
