Amazing work. I bought a set of these awhile ago and haven’t done anything with it. Loved to see your process. If you don’t mind sharing, which paper would you suggest as the best for graphite drawings?
Thank you! My favorite paper for graphite so far is the Daler Rowney Smooth Heavyweight... but hot pressed watercolor paper from any brand is really good as well (the one from Arches is awesome but a bit more pricey)
1: Legion Lanaquarelle 2: Hahnemühle Cezanne Those 2 are by far the best, then 3: Arches 4: Legion Stonehenge 5: Fabriano Artistico. All these has to be Hot press and Extra White. The last 2 are the best for Faber Castell pencils, becasue of their hard surface. Especially for Polychromos. The first 2, as I said, are the best Watercolour papers out there, they absorb water/paint way better, and their overall quality is many times better, than the rest I mentoned.

I have an XL mixed media sketchbook that “could” take watercolor, but, it bends a little after use. I looked up and found you can iron watercolor works.
Would it work the same on water-based graphite?
(To be frank, I don’t want to spend another $18 on a complete new sketchbook.)
I had totally misunderstood your question lol… I will have to try if I can iron the pages of my sketchbook 😊 great video idea 👍🏼 I’ve never tried that before… I usually just leave the bent paper under some heavy books overnight and it usually helps

Wow! Thank you for showing your work - stunning. I'm just learning to draw and just today I've tried these pencils. I think they're wonderful to use. I can't even contemplate producing such wonderful work like you - but I'm quite good at eyes now, and these have been great and fun to use.
