Elsie (Pat Phoenix) rails at son Dennis (Philip Lowrie) for letting the bailiffs into No11. As they begin to empty the contents of No11 the neighbours come out to watch the show. Jerry (Graham Haberfield) asks out another girl in an attempt to make Sheila (Eileen Mayers) jealous and flaunts her in the Rovers but it all ends badly when Ken (Bill Roache) identifies his date as a local schoolgirl.

Ena with the beer bottles reminds me of similar issues with Lowcock’s lemonade bottles where I grew up - if only we had thought to buy our lemonade from one shop - even then, they denied it was theirs!

The wonderful Elsie and my late mother’s drink a gin and orange aka mother’s ruin. Memories a better place to reside sometimes. Thank you for these 💎

@@happiness4812 I think Elsie owed money to her landlord for rent.

I've always wanted to see this episode. Back in the 70's I had the paperback novel 'Elsie Tanner Fights Back' which was based on this story.
