Geoff Hinslef was a brilliant actor. He was in 2 Doctor Who stories with Tom Baker. Image of the Ferndal and Nightmare of Eden . Sleep well Geoff. Rest in peace.
Brass remains the single funniest thing I've ever seen on TV. Rewatched the series with my dad last year. We roared. My dad passed away last month at the age of 85. Thanks for the laughs, Geoff, you were a real talent. RIP.
Rip Geoff. An excellent character. He started in Corrie in 1987, the year my grandad passed away. He looked so much like him that my father could not bear to watch any scenes with him in it. The grief was too raw.
Lovely man, great actor sad he has passed but so glad we had him. I would like to add good for Geoff driving that ford Sierra into the canal best place for them, good man!!
Another Coronation Street legend gone. No one could've played Brennan the way this man did. As well as Corrie, he was also in 2 Doctor Who stories during Tom Baker's tenure: Image of the Ferndal and Nightmare of Eden. We wish him a safe journey to the great Rovers Return in the sky Goodbye Mr Hinsliff, you'll be greatly missed ❤ 😊
Geoff made a solid impact on Corrie. He came in strong. I was 19 when he first walked the cobbles. He held my attention. That's the mark of a good actor. Geoff wasn't there as part of the scenery. He held his own.
@@cerealfibre6938 as a Hinsliff I can tell you the title is right, but almost everyone thinks there is a C in the name so often will get pronounced Hinscliff, seems fitting they said both.
I was chatting to my mate about a month ago and I just happened to mention Don Brennan in Corrie as I'd been watching a few old clips on youtube. I said I bet he's getting on abit now, and my mate said "he's dead now you know", I then said "I didn't know that", yet it kept bugging me why there hadn't been any mention of his passing in the news. Then I heard yesterday he had died. Strange why my friend thought he had already died when he told me a month or so ago when he hadn't, or maybe he's had a Mandela Effect moment or a premonition. I think this happens alot where people assume a famous person dies awhile before they actually did, then a few months or even a few years later they learn that they had just passed away. I think this is because they were never heard of again and were gone from the public limelight for a long time so think they have died.
When Corrie had real characters along with the likes of Jack and Vera. RIP 🙏
Absolutely 👍👍
Yeah with good stories and most of all comedy iv not watched it and years Jack and Vera were my favorite

Great scenes with Lynne. Terrific actor. RIP Geoff 🙁
Sad news. 😢. RIP 🙏
Rest in peace, Geoff Hinsliff.
You will never be forgotten.
The way he played don was brilliant, he was from the old school, not many left now like him rip
Excellent actor. I saw him in loads of things before he played Don Brennan and he always gave good value. RIP.
RIP Geoff. I only started watching classic Corrie earlier on this year and it has been a pleasure to watch him as Don Brennan. A fantastic character.
R.i.P Geoff, a great actor, you made me laugh in the series Brass, thank-you for that ❤
May he truly rest in peace.
Geoff was also in Detective Jones

One of the best exits of any soap! Great character - loved his down to earth accent and a very believable actor
He was a good actor. He was in I, Claudius
Good Actor
Sometime when you leave school with no qualifications like many they turn out to b the best

College, university is a load of bollocks. Life is more of a education.

Very believable sign of a good Actor, should have got more acclaim.

Corrie had lots of Yorkshire actors in the 80s ad 90s
R.I.P Geoff. Charlene said "At the age of 87" at the beginning then at the end, she said "At the age of 86."
She also referred to him as Hinscliff, not Hinsliff
@@peter0010
Yeah, she did. Is the title right or Charlene right?
I noticed that too 👍

- What had 3 legs and ate fish and chips?
- Don & Ivy Brennan
So sad
Good innings
RIP
He also played Preston The Postman in Soul Deep
Stewart Lee said: "Your performance in Soul Deep was very memorable and I will miss you terribly"
As usual didn't get facts right. Gail wasn't his step daughter at all
ITV News are useless
Step daughter-in-law, as she was Ivy's daughter-in-law and Don was married to Ivy, so they weren't far out really.
Never heard of him but rip
well them watch the video and you'll know who he is? Don't get posts like this
An horrible horrible man as Don Brennan but that's just acting. R. I. P
Sorry he passed away but he was a ham , an awful actor.
Rest in peace
