    It really surprises me that no one seems to brush their gums and the gutters both high and low. And after I scrape my tongue i brush it with the paste and then scrape that off too. Oh don't forget the roof of your mouth too.

    • @UpcomingLegend6000
      @UpcomingLegend6000 2 месяца назад

      @@ЕлицаЕнева-ж3о Not really, if you are brushing really hard then it will probably hurt but if you are just brushing light then it may not hurt, it also depends on the health of your gums.

      Same here! I have really tight spaces in between most of my teeth, so I gave up.
      Not sure all dentists do this, but you could ask yours to fit them for you.
      Mine did when I asked about it and they printed out a sheet for me marking which different coloured brushes and floss to use for certain areas of my mouth. I have 5 spaces that need super tiny brushes that only dentists can buy, so I was able to purchase a pack from them directly.

      I have the same case but fortunatily the most of the floss that is on sell here where I live are extra small. Idk the reason why, I guess it is because these are more fragile so it is cheaper to product.

    • @LancashireSmiles
      @LancashireSmiles  Год назад +11

      When used correctly (at a separate time to brushing your teeth) mouthwash can be helpful. The problem is when it is used to replace brushing your teeth or instead of interdental cleaning with floss or interdental brushes.

    • @LancashireSmiles
      @LancashireSmiles  11 месяцев назад +2

      @@swisdom9117 that is fine. The issue is when you use mouthwash immediately after brushing your teeth with a fluoride toothpaste. My preference would be to use mouthwash at a completely separate time to brushing your teeth.

      Try the smooth ribbon floss like Oral B Satin Tape. I have really tight spaces and can’t use regular wax floss either 😅If it’s still catching on something rough and breaking, you either have a lot of tartar or root cavities under the gums.

    mouthwash?

    • @LancashireSmiles

      Mouthwash is best used at a separate time to brushing your teeth. Otherwise it washes away the toothpaste from your teeth and you don't get the benefit of your toothpaste.

    • @Therealbabe
      @Therealbabe 7 месяцев назад

      Fluoride toothpaste and alcohol free mouthwash. Alcohol mouthwashes makes your mouth dry and is not good for your oral health. Once you brush with a fluoride toothpaste. You rinse with a mouthwash and scrub your your toungue. Don’t forget to floss as well. I use an antiseptic mouthwash in the morning. But it was recommended to use it before brushing , then floss , then I use a different type of floss which is the water pik and then I brush and scrape my toungue. Then at night use an anticavity mouthwash ,floss and then brush my teeth and then toungue scrape. Both alcohol free and contain fluoride. Act mouthwashes and Therabreath. Also use xylitol sugar free fresh mint if I need a gum. I also take daily oral probiotics which is good for the oral health as well. It’s up to a person if they want to use antiseptic and anticavity in the same day. Antiseptics are antiginvitis mouthwashes by the way . Anticavity are different. But cannot be used at the same time only at different times in the day and once.

      Fluoride toothpaste are not to rinse with water just mouthwash. If you still want to rinse with water make sure the mouthwash contains fluoride.😊

    Can I just use dental floss instead of the inter dental brush (first time I see it tbh) and my brush instead of the tongue scraper?

    • @LancashireSmiles
      @LancashireSmiles  Год назад +7

      The interdental brush is better than floss because it can cover a larger area in between your teeth. With good technique you can still do a good job with floss.
      Using your toothbrush on your tongue is a good substitute for a tongue scraper.
