Remember the old adage of "not work hard but work smart". Use that 4 wheeler and use it to pull things over - drag things to the fire etc.. Also now that you have the four wheeler you can get accesories for it such as pull style mowers or blades to help with the hard work. have fun and don't work so hard. keep it up and day by day things are shaping up

To bring it down gently, use some cable wrapped around midsection, then a come along cable attached to another tree. Maybe a few of the old boards could be repurposed as a trim on something else, latter on.
I helped my dad tear one down in the early 70's. We used the 2x6's for the wall studs in a family room and the double lap wood siding inside for the walls. Tried to use the 10x10 beams up in the corners but just too much weight for the ceiling beams to hold.

I would have jacked it up straightened it out and reinforced it to make it structurally sound. They don't make barns like they used to. I would have saved it.
If you have an old tarp or heavy piece of plastic to throw down you can throw the small limbs and stuff on it then drag it to your fire area saves a lot of wear and tear on your back

Wow. Now we know the tree isn't holding the barn up. Try using a rope or chain around the building and use your new 4wheeler to pull in the direction of the lean to see if it falls. I'm sure Chad would like to see that. If not, move the burn pile closer to the building. Then if someone complains, just tell them the barn accidently caught on fire. These are some ideas, but maybe I've watched too many of Chad's videos and he's influencing me. I can't wait to see what you do next.

My husband would of taken a large rope, tyed it to a main beam in the old barn, and tyed it to the back of our truck or tractor (leaving plenty of distance between the vehicle, and barn) and floored it until the barn collapsed.
I'm not sure about your county but here in North Carolina. The local Fire Dept can sometimes burn old buildings for training purposes. You may want to check with them to see if they can do that for you guys. Just an idea. I think you may have to get a permit but that is usually all the cost involved.

They set those in cement those satellites. I had one and I got it out. Its work. Save your red barn wood. You can build a smaller locked storage or just gobs of things.

That barn is tougher than it looks! On a side note Kyle you might want to adjust the handles more upright on the weed eater so you are not bending so much when using it, it will protect your back by doing that.

When you're hitting something to knock it down, don't use the axe side. Hit it with the blunt end. You also could hook tow straps to it & pull with the atv.
