Hi Kyle and Shannon, With the cost of lumber these days, It might be a good idea to keep as much of the lumber as you can from the barn for things like building a chicken coop or shelter for other animals you might be getting for your farm.
Nope. They are of the generation where they think everything NEW is better. They have a lot to learn. That barn could have easily been refurbished. An example is Cog Hill Farm.
Prayers go up for you guys to feel better soon. For being city people you guys did a awesome job . Don't let people pull you down you guys are learning as you go.
You did a great job. The way that barn came down was a good thing, lots of that lumber can be reused, or even sold. I know there are loads of people that will buy those old boards. Some of it could be used for shelves, raise garden and flower beds, this list is endless. Give yourselves a pat on the back. There is a tool that will punch the nail, google pneumatic nail extractor, nail extractor tool. good luck. Hope you're feeling better.
The cheer heard 'round the world! Excellent job!!! I hope you both feel much better - take care of yourselves. I hope the new year brings y'all nothing but good. God Bless
So sorry you've been sick! Prayers for complete healing of that nasty mess. That barn was more solid than it looked, but you succeeded!!!! I know this is all new to you. My best advise is to stop worrying what we would do, or say. You had a goal, worked with what you had at the time, and got the job done. I'm so happy for you!! It really does look bigger around there. I'm excited to see how beautiful your place is becoming! God bless.
Covid has attacked our home as well and lingered! Prayers 🙏 you both are well soon. Part of the adventure is learning along the way! Don't let the negative comments get to you. I think you did a pretty good job with the equipment at hand!
Good job. This was a learning experience. And you did it. Don't forget the loft doors to reuse if you can. You make a great team. Stay safe and healthy.
Great video.Yall are a kool kouple.Your pretty wife is a quick wit.An interesting adventure that will be enjoyable to follow. Thanks for sharing and dont let NOBODY rain on your parade.
Success! No one was injured and looks like you have some nice lumbar. And with the prices being what they are, every plank you save will be worth it in the long run. As for removing the nails... well you just take your time and pull them. You can get a a tool specific for pulling nails, or a good carpenters hammer. Either way, just take your time and be sure to keep the nails gathered up off the ground. You don't want to find any the hard way by mowing over or driving over them. Again,Good Job!
The reality of the barn not coming down came through….making it your best video that you have had. Loved how you both laughed throughout the trials of demolishing the barn.
1 drill. one truck. one man and one better half is all you needed. ok I'm hooked on your cannel now and cant wait to see what you do with your property. I like your positivity and can do attitude you seen like a nice young couple.
BY DOING THE WAY YOU DID YOU'LL REMEMBER IT THE REST OF YOUR LIVES. ON TOP OF THAT YOU GOT IT ALL RECORDED LOL. I'M LAUGHING BUT ALONG WITH YOU TWO. PLEASED ? ALWAYS PLEASED WATCHING YOUR ADVENTURES. GOD BLESS AND GET WELL.
Well if it all came down the first time what would we have to watch then lol. That my friend was determination and you won. It doesn't matter the right way or wrong way it was your way and your property. It was fun to watch.
Hammer and flat bar will get the nails out. Glad the barn is down. Get what you want off of it and burn the rest. You two are doing great take care of yourselves.
I got so excited when the barn was swaying thought for sure it was coming down! But only corner came out. Lol Glad you finally got it. Take care of yourselves. Don't over do.
Lmao when the first half of roof came off never saw that happen before, so cool. You 2 are doing great. Glad you're feeling better. Hope the New Year brings you healing and success in all you do.
That was so amazing. Looked so rickety and yet so hard to get down. I have a feeling, since it is piled so nicely, a match to it might be the best thing in the long run. Anyway, good job getting it down. God Bless.
Boy! Had me tensing my legs each and every time you pulled with the truck. Couldn’t help but laugh when it didn’t fall down. Looking at that building shoulda come down on the first try. Ah well! It’s done and down! Got that new trailer to haul out the lumber you don’t use. Check for termites in lumber you think you want to keep.
Happy New Years to you and your family don't feed into the haters they just need prayers lol aww I hope you guys are doing better sending prayers 🙏 to you guys get better
Pretty amazing to think how sturdy that rickety old barn turned out to be considering how rotten the structure appeared. Y'all are awesome, and as you go you'll learn a lot of cool stuff along the way. Demolition days are my favorite the only real thing to remember is to stay safe, everything else will take care of itself. Praying for a speedy and complete recovery for y'all. GOD BLESS
I've lived most of my life that same way, using creativity and what I have on hand. It's already broken, so try anyway! Glad you got it down. A reciprocating saw may help to cut the nails. It's how I have reused a lot of pallet wood cause they use ring nails in those. Several people in my family have covid and we've lost a couple of the older uncles, so we didn't have a Christmas party this year. My trust and faith is in the Lord's plan and blessings for He is always good. Here's to a better year in 2022! Blessings, Texas Deb 😁💕
Praying y'all get to feeling better soon. That barn says it's older and much stronger then you though. Ya do what ya do to get done what ya need to get done. Great job
Great work on tearing it down. I would have tried the same ways with the same results. I was laughing that it kept staying up no matter what you hooked up to. Glad to see you both up and about and feeling better. Enjoy the process and dont worry about the experts.
So sorry you guys have been sick. I caught that crud last January for the whole month. I even spent time in the hospital not breathing. I survived and I thought that barn was going to too. Guys this has been great. You did a great job on bringing it down. I don't think dynamite could have taken that down any better. Hope you keep feeling better every day. God Bless you both.
It's a good thing you have a sense of humor because that was funny! That old wood was strong & was determined to not be taken down. Way to not give up! I'm so sorry you got Covid and I hope you're both feeling better by now. Take your time & get lots of rest, this is not easy to come back from.
Great job guys. I would strongly suggest you get a magnet sweep tool to pick up loose nails so you don't pick them up in your truck or ATV tires. Less expensive then tires!
Having worked with reclaimed wood for years, a tip I learned is to have a spray bottle with water and spray the area around the nail, it will come out much easier.
Can’t believe you tore that bum’s house down 😂
House is next!
I believe that was in reference to the TRESPASSERS
@@jennygabbard6421 maybe the trespasser will come back and tear the house down for revenge!
@@davidpascoe8784 ROFL
I thought you would have burnt it already Chad lol.
Too funny😂
This country senior citizen feels you have done a great job. This is the way we all learned how to get things done on the farm. Keep it up! 🌳🌳🌳🏡
One thing I noticed is that there will always be whiners. Ignore them and go on. You're doing an awesome job.
Hi Kyle and Shannon,
With the cost of lumber these days, It might be a good idea to keep as much of the lumber as you can from the barn for things like building a chicken coop or shelter for other animals you might be getting for your farm.
Brilliant idea. Hated to see all that good wood go to waste.
Nope. They are of the generation where they think everything NEW is better. They have a lot to learn. That barn could have easily been refurbished. An example is Cog Hill Farm.
This was so funny. The barn looked unstabled, but the way it came down it had to be more stabled than you thought.🤣 😂
I'm shocked they tore it down. Those old barns were made so well. It would have been easy to refurbish and reinforce that barn.
Prayers go up for you guys to feel better soon.
For being city people you guys did a awesome job .
Don't let people pull you down you guys are learning as you go.
Liked the play on words. Good job👍😂
Y’all are being way harder on yourself than we are. You did a great job and I enjoy the video as always! Keep up the good work!
Those small barn doors could be repurposed to make an entry gate to a garden
You did a great job. The way that barn came down was a good thing, lots of that lumber can be reused, or even sold. I know there are loads of people that will buy those old boards. Perseverance paid off. Way to go, Kyle and Shannon.
Sorry to hear you both were ill. But glad you're feeling better. Be Blessed.
Dang, that old barn did not want to cooperate but you won in the end, great job. Take care of yourselves and I hope you feel better soon.
Down is down. A win in my book. Rest and don’t over do just yet.🙏🏻❤️
Prayers to the both of you...take it easy and don't over do it!

Part of the adventure is learning along the way! Don't let the negative comments get to you. I think you did a pretty good job with the equipment at hand!
There are some beautiful boards in that barn. Even if you think you won't use them, save it, you can't buy wide boards.
Praying for your healing ! Happy that your mission was finally accomplished . You definitely persevered!
Prayers that you continue to beat that nasty virus. Congratulations on getting the barn down. I see a good rest in the future for both of you!
You two are so cute! I love watching your adventures while you learn! Way to go guys! 🥰
Good job. This was a learning experience. And you did it. Don't forget the loft doors to reuse if you can.
You make a great team.

Plus, dynamite may be prohibited for "home use". (giggle)

That was hilarious, in retrospect may be it was stronger than you thought, sending love and hugs from the UK
A pneumatic nail remover is super to get nails out Shannon. Man that shed did not want to come down.
