- We're getting anxious and are ready to start working on the land. We went out to begin some of the cleanup and were not anticipating what we encountered! We got caught redhanded! Fortunately, we were able to complete some of our tasks!

Hmmmm, thinking Chad didn’t have goats on his keeper list for the winter. Not sure if any of your property is fenced? I love that your house is hidden from the road? Shannon, might want to make sure you cut trees at ground level or below so you don’t trip on stumps or puncture tires later. Also looks like you did, but I recommend leaving large trees above eye level until you can get them taken down completely so you don’t run over them or fall on them.
Whoaaaaaaaaaa Martha, Thought Chad might let them borrow his goats to clear their land. I’ll pray for you!
This takes me back to 30 years ago when my husband and I bought our place. Watching you run that weekender brought to mind my first piece of advice for you. Both of you need to invest in a good pair of heavy duty gloves. Not the wimpy gardeners gloves made of cloth, but the Suede type that electricians wear. Believe me, your hands will thank me. With all of the hard work you'll be doing, you'll get blisters and calluses in a hurry without them.

A TRACTOR WITH A BRUSH HOG MOWER WOULD DO "WONDERS" OUT THERE. KEEPING IT DUTCH and COG HILL FARM ARE LIVING OUT OF A TRAILER WHILE THEY HAVE THEIR HOUSES BUILT. COULD BE SOME TO CHECK INTO. CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOUR NEXT VIDEO.

LOL.. I love the ending! Ok honest review here... I love Shannon! First of all she is so cute, she's healthy, she's spunky, she's clutsy (I can identify), She's eager to learn, she's excited and she sees what she doesn't like and cuts it down! She is going to be a hoot to watch. The property looks amazing. Who's idea was it to take all the specialty shots, like the ones of the car going over the camera? That was a nice touch, something we don't often see out of new videographers. Music was a nice touch. Someone has a little editing experience. Kyle has a good sense of humor, seems like a hard worker and I think he's going to be interesting to watch. I signed up for the journey! I hope you guys are going to the homesteading meeting in Pryor Oklahoma. If so, then I will see you in March. If you do decide to do lives - can you do them on the weekend? There is this hole in my youtube schedule on the weekends. It seems like no one wants to do stuff on Saturday evening or Sundays. God bless you guys. Keep it real.

His brother, Chad, from Adler Farms was with them making a tour, they were leary of both stepping on porch.
It's in really bad shape.

With the old house that is there on the property, it was built nearly a century ago maybe when they tear it down they could salvage some of the wood out of the house and use it for a project in their new dwelling. Reclaimed wood can be beautiful! 💞

You're as old or young as you want to be. I was 55 when we bought and moved into our homestead, it had sat empty for five years. Got a great deal from the bank, seven acres and a 3000 sq ft. House for $80,000. We've made the house our own, and I now raise dairy goats for milk, cheese, and soap. Chickens and ducks for eggs and meat as well as a heifer for meat. We have a garden for vegetables. I turn 63 in two weeks and have never felt better and satisfied. I am so grateful for all of the young tech savvy homesteaders who post and share what they do and have learned, it's taught me a lot.
Progress guys! It’s comforting to know you have a good neighbor with a direct line to them in case of emergency.

Glad the owner said you could get a head start! Seeing all those weeds, maybe you could look into getting a different cutting head for your weedeater(metal chains or something not strings) you'll be going through a lot of strings before you are even nearly done! Also get a shoulder strap for Shannon to use, it makes it much easier! Maybe Grandpa Ralph can research the weedeater head for you! Blessings to you both!
They have hard plastic and metal blades you can put on in place of the line. It will let you do berry bushes if needed.
You Tube is always very slow to catch up. Don't be discouraged it will happen. Keep up the good work!
