“Knight Fight” steps inside the world of the full-contact Armored Combat League - often referred to as “Medieval MMA” or “Knight Fight Club.” This blood sport is a full-contact armored combat league where modern-day warriors battle in over eighty pounds of plated armor with real steel weapons.

"Wielded by the Thracians"
(Has a guy dressed in plate armour)
OK.
End DACIAN ROMPHAIA =BIG FALX!
That is not a rhomphaia
It's supposed to be curved to a very sharp forward facing point for piercing. And the sickle like inner edge would sever limbs of horses. This is just a giant cleaver
Stabbing is against the rules in this show, so having a scythe-like sword is probably out of the question
@@foolslayer9416 yeah I agree, but it was probably stupid to put it on this show in the first place. It’s not suited for this kind of competition.
That's no Rhomphaia, that's a jacked up machete.
The weapon here is loosely based on depictions of 2 handed swords from the 13th century. The youtube channel "Modern History tv" has 2 videos about the weapon they are showing.
Is that Christian from wwe
Yup.
Yesssss
Lol wwe "fake" entertainer wrestler 😂
“Oh, it’s Christian” - Todd Grisham
Yeah, it's him the peep show!
Christian Cage!
Hey the Captain charisma Christian
Christmas from wwe is o this show??? Ill donate
Never thought in my browsing videos I would see Andre on something specifically a History channel one. Very very cool!
I'm not an expert but i can smell the bs through the screen. Just saying.
looks like the ancient worlds equivalent of a katana.however this video definantly gives me the impression that this thing was nowhere near as agile as a katana but the appearance of this weapon still kind of reminds me of a katana.
Um, is that possible WWE Hall of Famer Christian?
The Glorious Owen Arnason yep
i like the Dacian version better........
The falx?
@@rollothewalker5535 I was under the impression that the falx was smaller, and that a Dacian Rhomphaia is like a bigger version of the falx.
If I'm wrong, somebody explain it correctly then please.......
On this episode of "make believe history"
I clicked because of Christian in here 😂
Possible wwe hall of Famer Christian?
What sword does the other dude have
Ok so setting aside the fact that the Rhomphaia had a slight forward curve and that looks more like an oversized machete than a Romphaia...
Why is a weapon of the Thracian iron age in a show called Knight Fight? When knights are from the medieval period?
Because it's the featured weapon of the episode.
The Rhomphaia is curved. Not a straight hunk of metal.
What is the blade the man hold, the rhompaia enemy ?
This is variation of grand falchion
Isn’t that the Berserk anime sword?
Not romphaia
Didn't the Dacians use a similar weapon?
The Dacians used the Falx, a similar weapon. The Rhomphaia showed here isn't historically accurate though.
@@rollothewalker5535 ok
WWE 2019 HoF Captain Charisma Christian...

Or -2 I'm not sure
If you have to throw it straight down the middle wouldn't that leave your sides exposed?
