This footage is unreal, Andy Taylors guitar playing is on another level. He is feeling the music, and his emotions are bursting through with so much energy. So much more talented than he has ever been given credit for. Hope he gets well soon. 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
Andy brings new momentum to this song. His solos are perfect and he has the feeling of adding a harder edge to the sound. That's exactly how Duran Duran should sound. Thanks Andy!!!
Andy absolutely crushes it here. The second solo in particular is plain out badass! People forget how much he was responsible for their original sound and vibe.
@Me-qp8vz Boo! Don't be sore my friend. Andy is the original Duran Duran guitarist. No other can top him. No Andy Taylor, no Duran2. And also there wouldn't of been a spot for Warren and no career for Brown if Andy Taylor didnt start it all. Big hugs. I hope you feel better.
Andy is the greatest, took real guitar where it had never been before, a synth band!! Loads of bands do it now but he was the first, what class, what style, he made DD ROCK!!
I think his stint with the Powerstation really set him free and be the guitarist he wanted to be,then he was flung back into Duran Duran as this monster! :-) Really miss Andy.
They're no words to describe Andy's talent! I'll admit that i never appreciated him enough when he was in the band, but now i totally miss him, it don't seem like Duran without him ;(
Saw duran at Manchester apollo in December 1981 even then you could see andy was way above them musically. I would honestly say he is the best guitarist out there him and frusciante from the chili peppers imo
Andy is a true warrior. He just can't get enough! !! God I adore him ,and I was a devoted Roger Taylor duranie! ! just goes to show !!!! all things get (or should ) get better as they age a day mature! !!!
Thanks for these Andy Taylor videos. I think those who are not DD fans do not value it properly. And it is clearly demonstrated that he is "the" Duran Duran guitarist, with all respect for WC and DB. I will listen to Duran Duran until the day I die, but there will be no such original formation.
no other decade will ever repeat the 80 s. ... I used to hang out with a fab bunch .they were all self taught! ! just like the duran boys (men) the 80s bands were all self taught what we wonderful lesson in life
If crush means destroy you are correct. Watch a few videos of Warren playing this song. Oh and of Warren playing old Andy songs. the reflex, union and Shadows on your side never sounded that good live with Andy.
I prefer Warren myself. He co-wrote some amazing songs during his tenure with the band and took the groundwork that Andy made with classics and elevated them. With that being said it's sad to hear about Andy's health and I really wish him the best.
Seriously ... DD need to put their differences ASIDE with ANDY. Get past it and get him back in the band. Their sound truly suffers without him. Andy has a certain rawness to his playing that absolutely makes any Duran song ... from any era ... sound so friggin incredible. He is sooooooo sorely missed!!!
The way Andy plays on this track reminds me of another Andy, Andy Summers of The Police. It’s a series of Harmonic flourishes that carry the melody. Then at the 2:50 and 3:50 Mark, Andy reminds that you that he can crush it on lead. He runs away with the song at the end. Don’t know how his band mates feel about it, but that is how you do it live!
Mostly Warren I like Andy's melodic, mellow playing compliments early Duran and encapsulates Pop Trashes sound perfectly but Warren and his Avant-garde, frenetic playing trump's Andy's for me sorry Andy lovers :)
He's just having a jolly time. The rest of the band ain't into singing distortion, you can see that and he's just playing the same notes over n over again. That tone doesn't compliment the song either.
The book was okay. The writing style drove me nuts, but I enjoyed it. I have to say, though, that Andy really plays this song the best. Not to disrespect Warren or anything, but Andy really just rocks this song. I love it.
I see alot of affirming compliments on Andy Taylor's interpretation of Warren Cucurillo's original guitar tracks on "Ordinary World" and in a live concert setting, Taylor does indeed give it his own unique flair, however, I still do prefer Cucurillo's original recording and his ability to weave together very complicated & abstract chords, notes & guitar artistry. BCRadio
Andy's is a superior talent and a realized loss, to the band. Standard bar chords are the easiest of them all but providing a back fill with some flavor that covers a wider range of 'playability', is a talent. Lets consider that the location of this recording isolates Andy's playing and an over-all mix would be a much better direction - it would be fuller direction with more character than simply playing rock power chords that most guitar teachers teach within several weeks of beginning lessons.
Been liking this for years, agree that the location/isolation is what's going on. Compare to the same-era Rome footage of OW on YT and it's clear. That said, I enjoy the hell out of hearing Andy's playing stand out like it does here. Question for you guitar players out there: is there a name for what he does at 3:47 and again at 4:28? It's that crunchy stutter-strum thing after what sounds like a whammy bar...
Andy is the Man 👍

Andy was the best member of Duran Duran , so sad he's ill
Andy brings new momentum to this song.
His solos are perfect and he has the feeling of adding a harder edge to the sound. That's exactly how Duran Duran should sound. Thanks Andy!!!
Andy's talent with the six-string is undeniable. He was a big part of Duran Duran's early success.
But it took Warren almost 3 months to teach him how play this song.
Andy did an amazing job here!
I love this band, the Fab 5. Andy added so much to their repertoire. Great band for 45 years.....whew.
Just to be clear.... I know that Cuccurullo is the (original) guitarist on this DD hit.
So cool how Taylor's guitar is totally featured. I've heard millions of versions of this tune, this one left me pleased the most.thank you for posting
I was in front of Andy. So happy I was at this gig. Amazing guitarist !
All the mistakes didn't bother you?
Beato te mi sarebbe piaciuto vederlo
You are the stone pillar in this outfit Andy
andy taylor is amazing
Andy absolutely crushes it here. The second solo in particular is plain out badass! People forget how much he was responsible for their original sound and vibe.
You can't hear all the mistakes? Watch video when Warren plays this song. Zero mistakes.
I love Andy’s live version of this song.
Thanks
Wareen sepnt 3 months teaching how to play it. It's Warrens version not Andy's
Andy gave Duran Duran the edge they needed to make them who they became back in the eighties. They were all together a perfect blend of talent.
And yet the 3 biggest hits they ever had were written by Warren
SCREW EM ANDY !! --- 99% of us know better. DD will allways be the Andy show.
My god... Andy Taylor!
Really miss Andy.
Andy Taylor is so talented
They're no words to describe Andy's talent!
I'll admit that i never appreciated him enough when he was in the band, but now i totally miss him, it don't seem like Duran without him ;(
I get the impression Andy is the best dude in the band
Jesus Andy really can play and I mean play, what a solo!
Bring back Andy!
Great Guitar Player.❤
Always my musical heart! ✌️🫶🎶
Wow!! Oh Andy you brought this song to a whole new level!! You made it a true rock ballad!!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻😻😻
Rock ballads don't have that many mistakes. I love Andy don't get me wrong but Warren is in a class of his own and wrote DD's 3 biggest hits.
Andy Hope you look back and watch this.. You Rock.... Respect
I love how he goes all Gilmour at the 3:45 mark. Gotta love that tone!
Saw duran at Manchester apollo in December 1981 even then you could see andy was way above them musically. I would honestly say he is the best guitarist out there him and frusciante from the chili peppers imo
Love love my Andy ❤ miss you. Please come back
Andy Andy Andy...... Absolute Legend X
Andy has real charachter .. good work Andy
Andy the best guitar player of my favorite group, without him never DD be the same ….. for me
Unbelievable guitarist! I had no idea.
Amazing Andy"s guitare. Great performance.
Love Andy’s solo on the song “last chance on the stairway”....
The most Duranie hard rocker✌️

Andy is the one and only guitarist from Duran Duran. He play the guitar parts amazing. Please Andy come back.
he's dying he won't be back sadly.
U mean Warren…?
Andy is the MAN!!!
Andy Taylor sensational ♥️🤘
Andy gave that song new life.
Andy, komm bitte zurück zu Duran Duran. Wir Fans wollen die komplette fabfive!!!! Forever!!!!
Andy is a true warrior. He just can't get enough! !! God I adore him ,and I was a devoted Roger Taylor duranie! ! just goes to show !!!! all things get (or should ) get better as they age a day mature! !!!
That was the performance of a lifetime!
Thanks for this it even more potent now as it unlikely Andy will be ever to perform with his brothers again, keep up the good fight Andy.
God-given talent
Andy you nailed it. DD rocked with you!
I watch this constantly. I love this
I love these videos of just Andy. Thank you for them. Isn't he the main reason we all went to the reunion concerts?
Andy give the band credirockibility
Thanks for these Andy Taylor videos. I think those who are not DD fans do not value it properly. And it is clearly demonstrated that he is "the" Duran Duran guitarist, with all respect for WC and DB. I will listen to Duran Duran until the day I die, but there will be no such original formation.

always been my fave xx
Great Andy!!!!!
The dudes stage sound is seriously fierce! Amazing!
At 5:40, Andy just runs away with this song, so much crunch and feel. Say what you want , but Andy just crushes it!
If crush means destroy you are correct. Watch a few videos of Warren playing this song. Oh and of Warren playing old Andy songs. the reflex, union and Shadows on your side never sounded that good live with Andy.
I disagree with you, but that’s your opinion. Relax dude, don’t get butt hurt about someone else’s opinion.
I prefer Warren myself. He co-wrote some amazing songs during his tenure with the band and took the groundwork that Andy made with classics and elevated them.
With that being said it's sad to hear about Andy's health and I really wish him the best.
Melhor Guitarrista do Duran Duran!
i do miss andy when i saw them in 05 the music just came together.
Go Andy, Go!
Ordinary World Rock Version ( GREAT!!! ANDY )
He hated playing this so played it way too loud to piss the others off. He did'nt write the part obviously
Good filming.. Love this.. Andy rocks 🤟
awesome Andy awesome good for you.... lots of love from Greece
Badass solo. Andy rules - All DD best songs were written w/Andy. Duran Duran are dead already but they don´t know it yet.
Andy too cool 😎
Wow Andy nailed Warren's guitar solo. 10/10
He can't help it he a guitarist. Gotta have fun with it.
The only decent guitarist in the band. Didn’t have the recognition he deserved
Awesome song, 2:39 stand on it! Thats how you do it right there, love that tone and the black suit and tele are cool.,,🤘
i like this guitar playing
Wonderful, I love forever Duran Duran ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Killer Andy footage!
Too bad i didnt get to see them with him.
JB
this guitarist makes this sappy little song his little play-thing bitch. Rock chops.
DD needs to bring Andy back into the fold
Andy slayed this. They should record this in studio. Both guitars can be there.
amazing skills, great musician
O melhor guitarrista do Duran Duran.
Another great one Andy.
Andy doesnt get the respect he deserves. Especially from Durans Management!
Seriously ... DD need to put their differences ASIDE with ANDY. Get past it and get him back in the band. Their sound truly suffers without him. GREAT ANDY!!!!!
AWESOME
great guitar from andy as always....I think rest of duran made him feel isolated... shame it's not proper Duran without him
Duran needs to bring Andy, Warren or somebody serious about guitar to return to splendor.
Mostly Warren I like Andy's melodic, mellow playing compliments early Duran and encapsulates Pop Trashes sound perfectly but Warren and his Avant-garde, frenetic playing trump's Andy's for me sorry Andy lovers :)
@@bradybaile4549 Ha
Definitely warren

Absolutely great doings from Andy even he wasn't the original guitarist in this song..omg.
Andy come back please! !!
But Andy was the one who stayed by them (JT & NR) and took care of them during medical emergencies.
😭😭😭😭💖💖💖💖 come back Andy
the fab five forever!
Wonderful Gitare Part from Andy
Andy...why did you leave this awesome band!!
Sublime!
Warren’s tune but Andy sounds great and the AUDIENCE...omg the feels when the audience hits that chorus... wow
The book was okay. The writing style drove me nuts, but I enjoyed it. I have to say, though, that Andy really plays this song the best. Not to disrespect Warren or anything, but Andy really just rocks this song. I love it.
That is so wrong 😆

I loved Andy Taylor...Bring Andy back.
You and Andy must be drinking the same Kool-Aid.
owesome
Andy is God!!!
You are wrong! LORD JESUS CHRIST IS THE ONLY TRUE LIVING GOD!
Andy è un'ala dei duran duran, la differenza da quando nn c è più si sente troppo!!!!!
