There was a playable campaign for Lady in DmC 3, it’s in the game’s code, even, but it ended up not being part of the final version of the game. If it does get a remake, Lady should have her own story
@@idfkimaclownfor some reason i just got a sonic adventure 2-esque idea of two separate stories focusing on nero's adventures in the human world and dante and vergil's in the demon world respectively, that then culminates in a last story where all three come together to fight the big bad(s) or something yooooo what of they gave nero a shadow the hedgehog type of rival of his own, that guy could be the main antagonist of nero's story
@@possibly_ben Again, bringing back Dante and Vergil would undermine Nero now becoming the face of the series. 5 marked the end of the Sons of Sparda narrative, realistically they probably aren’t coming back until sales drop because they’re not present.
DMC6 being both a sequel and prequel with Dante, Vergil and Sparda as playable characters similar to Godfather Part 2, with Dante and Vergil exploring Hell and finding out about Sparda's origins was an idea I had. My only problem is...where could Nero fit?
@@BuryTheLight-tdsThis was a joke right??? Nero is and has to be the main protagonist in the next game, c'mon he's not Deadweight anymore 😅👌 remember DMC4??? Yeah, those were the days but anyways hopefully DMC6 will be good nevertheless.
@@danteshollowedgroundsDMC5 made Nero more likeable and improved his character a lot but I still don’t think he should be the main from now on. I like the ensemble we have. Also I’m very biased and just wanna still have Dante and Vergil back. Similarly to God of War I don’t think Devil May Cry should get rid of Dante. I like Atreus a lot too but I don’t think we should not have Kratos anymore in favor of Atreus.
After I beat dmc5 for the first time I went and played all the other dmc games cause I really liked it. Out of all the games I'd love to see dmc1 get remade, it's whole vibe feels completely different to the other ones so I'd love to see it in hd
Also, if Devil May Cry got a Prequel with Sparda. Here is something... Bring back the original DMC 1 actor for Dante, Drew Coombs as Sparda. That would bring it all full circle...
The one thing that I love about DMC 1 is its atmosphere. From an outside look it's a horror game - an abandoned gothic castle full of monstrosities craving for human blood, the heavy ambience, the notes of the people that used to live there and do not anymore... But as soon as a battle starts, the heavy metal intensifies, Dante whips out the Force Edge and spins Ebony and Ivory in his hands and all the horror elements are overshadowed by his sheer *SSStyle* .
@@BuryTheLight-tds Well, to be fair. It's not because because Capcom doesn't like him, but because of those controversies Reuben has which damaged his reputation, although he voiced Dante in the Vergil dlc cutscenes when he already did some stuff, so let's just hope for the best
@@wesptb Well, from what I know, his friend who voiced Morrison in DMC 5 (white man voiced black character) was making some racist jokes on his RUclips channel. Reuben was talking about some anti-vacc and alien conspiracies. And also said that BLM should be differentiated from just robbing stores (based). So yeah...
Devil may cry 2 given a remake would make me so happy. I feel like DMC remakes are bound to happen eventually, I just hope the original voice of dante can stay his voice for as long as possible. None of us are getting any younger here haha if you know what I mean
I too have wondered why there hasn't been a DMC remake, before 5 it made sense they'd work on a true sequel to 4 but after it? I understand they don't want to make DMC6 without Itsuno heading development but a remake is a great way to nurture young talent. I also agree they should start the remakes with 3, maybe call it DMC Origins or DMC Genesis... and they already have a good framework to start with with DMC5. There's hope though, the Capcom survey showed that aside from Dino Crisis & RE, DMC and Dante are in the top of what people want from Capcom.
super impressed dude, the editing is clean and concise, the video length is just right and you make a lot of interesting points about areas of improvement for the possible remakes, keep it up! your passion for the series really shows through this video
i got into dmc after the release of 5 and played them all in order (including 2). while 1 definitely felt dated it was still peak and i enjoyed almost every moment of it

man imagine a dmc1 remake where they remove all the limitation of the combat and expanding it even further like they did in devil may cry 5 and fixes the issues of the game enemies like the ghosts that camp in the walls hell even make trish a playable character.
Firstly I loved your video, it was well thought out :) About remakes, I can’t help but be super excited if they brought back DMC3 , as it holds a special place in my heart 🥰
I got quite a number of hypothetical ways to fix DMC2 in a remake. Big summary, so apologies in advance. "Fusing/merging" should have been a running theme for DMC2. Vie de Marli being "known as the Island Where Holy and Evil Merge", Arius wanting to merge with Argosax, Argosax The Chaos being a fusion of almost all past bosses. Maybe the bosses in DMC2 could be fixed by fusing 2 at a time. Like fusing Nefasturis with Phantom like an Arachne so he's guarding the Hellgate and can move around more. Trismagia was technically a triple fusion, but still needs work. And the Trismagia is the GD Oracle of The Demon World, it should have more significance and presence in a DMC2 remake. Perhaps circular platforming similar to the Death bossfight in Castlevania Lament of Innocence could help improve the Trismagia fight or circling around the Trismagia itself. And since you fight Oranguera twice in DMC2, why not just have his 2nd fight be him using the Infested Tanks as fire arms in the streets and trying to smash you with them, tanks exploding against the ground at the end of each phase, and then instead of you chasing the infested chopper up some buildings, Oranguera turns his attention from Dante to Lucia, she goes Devil Trigger and flies up the buildings, prompting you to chase Oranguera! Demonic King Kong! And on the rooftop, the Infested Chopper is just another weapon for him to use against Dante, grabbing it and forcing it's spinning propeller blades towards him, something you can parry, forcing the blades back at him, doing a lot of damage and after he tries smashing you with it like he did with the Tanks, you let Ebony & Ivory rip, sending him falling to his death. Dante: >looking down at the body on the streets below< Lucia: Don't worry... you got him. Dante: No, wasn't me. T'was beauty killed the beast. >4th wall shatters as Mission Complete screen comes up< We all know the Double Wolves in DMC2 suck and they also made Bolverk an actual definition of bitch to fight. Pretty sure Bolverk has some Nordic influence, and we got Cerberus in 2 games, 4 if u count DMC3 Mobile & Peak of Combat, so why don't we switch the Wolves with ONE BIG FENRIR! Fenrir would be the Holy & Bolverk would be the Evil and Vie de Marli is "Where Holy and Evil Merge"! Killing Bolverk would pretty much set Fenrir free! In fact, can see Fenrir coming back to help Lucia, biting Possessed Arius' arm off and giving us a Kaiju fight against Argosax Arius and then Fenrir becomes Lucia's big ol puppy companion at the end! Argosax's presence alone was merging Earth & Hell, killing that fucka was no small feat for Dante. Imagine in a remake of DMC2, Argosax having more of a prominent roll, fusing humans and demons, practically inspiring Arius to make those hot Secretaries and Lucia. I imagine Lucia using Argosax's Earth & Hell fusing to her advantage, fusing all of Arius' Secretaries into herself to gain her own Majin/Sin Devil Trigger, giving her the duality she needs and makes peace with her fellow Artificial Demons. And maybe wanting to fuse with Dante instead of Arius would flesh out Argosax's character a little bit, like not being impressed with Arius at all through out the game, rather wanting to see "that Man" that Arius rarely mentions, and when Dante arrives, spoiling Arius' ritual with the false coin, Argosax already appears more impressed with Dante, pretty much adding jealousy onto Arius' comically broken temper! 😂 And to bring it full circle, instead of standing there silently, waiting to be murked, Argosax can make one last offer for Dante to merge with him, "Don't, Dante... we can be the King of this world." only to be rejected with a savage "Jackpot" before being shot out of existence!
Also instead of Merciless & Vendetta, which were just reskins of The Rebellion, we should have just been allowed to take Furiataurus' Hammer and Bolverk's Spear! The spots where you find the Merciless and Vendetta and Furiataurus' boss fight and Bolverk's 2nd boss fight aren't that far apart and it would have been SO cathartic to take that cheap bastard's Spear and use both weapons' range on the Trismagia and Argosax's first phase!
My idea for a DMC6 is to have Mundus return with his own human devil hybrid children and we can get to play as one of them, having two playable character at the start until Dante and Vergil inevitable return for the climax. Also we can finally get a full two player co-op mode, the potential is endless.
I think DMC 1 and 2 could use it for sure. Especially 2 which would benefit from it way way more... As for a remake of 3. I absolutely love your idea of having Dante, Lady, and Vergil playable with their own sections. Now that would be badass. I was against the idea of a Remake until you said that. As for the voice acting. I would love for Devil May Cry 3 to utilize the original acting like Metal Gear Solid 3 is doing with its remake. While 1 and 2 should benefit from having Reuben Langdon reprise his role as Dante in both of those games. I would love to see how he would pull the iconic moment that was "Fill Your Dark Soul With Light" 😂 As for Devil May Cry 4. Please give my man Dante his due with his own levels. That and we need that stupid Dice game removed. I think every fan can say the same thing.
Honestly im content with where the series left off, not all games need remakes or need to continue. As much as i love the series, it can take one game to completely sour my experience (DmC), but hey if they do decide to remake a dmc game i would like dmc2 for obvious reasons.
Co-op needs to be there in the upcoming games. Modders have already implemented it in every game, hell even capcom has done it in DMC 3 switch edition. Imagine playing as Dante Trish and lady through the entire story of 4 with a truck load of demons spawning in.
re2 made more sense because the remake was so different to the OG. I'd imagine with a dmc3 remake they'd likely keep the combat the same but update the graphics, I feel like the changes wouldn't be enough to draw people in, it would be borderline the same game just a little prettier.
Looks interesting. It is really fun. I wonder how retell the stories as some plot twists may not be surprising in the second time. Also it is important that not each combat will be copy pastes. Would it word a dmc2 remake (the 3rd part as you called a semi open word as the maps felt big anyway or more hell exploration? )
“Combine” DMC3 and DMC1 but only highlight Vergils plight with Arkham leading into Mundus and being captured to then flash forward to the start of DMC1.
Ok, I already know I left a big ass comment, but I wanted to just state something. We probably won’t get anything relating to DMC that’s crazy good (POC ain’t it) until the new anime comes out since Itsuno’s working on that.
Exactly! Where is it Capcom? We've been pleading for decades for a remake of the original, don't forget the games that made you a gaming juggernaut and especially don't forget the fan base, I mean I love resident evil as much as the other resi fan but you can do a lot more than just zombies capcom
If you want DMC1 remade with 5s combat than you don't understand what made DMC1. DMC1 is not a sandbag juggling simulator like 5 is. Enemies were actual threats
For dmc1 I really wasn’t thinking mainly about the games combat and how it should have 5s instead. I was mainly thinking about the game built in the RE engine and how everything about that game would look beautiful with it. As far as combat goes I still enjoy it to this day (though I find most of the common enemies and bosses to be easy) and don’t think it NEEDS a fully redone combat system. The only thing I don’t like in that game as far as combat goes is that little shooter segment with Dante vs Mundus while flying around the screen.
I would say start with 1, since DMC3 still holds up pretty well, and 2 isn't really as significant story wise. Plus I really want to see a modern RE Engine powered take on Mallet Island.
Tbh, we dont need a remake of any dmc, we need a new dmc 6, waiting again another 11 years to get just a remake is kinda meh. Maybe after the re receive the whole saga remaked we can hope for the dmc remakes
If they make a remake for DmC 3 they should just do it like the dead rising have better graphics but leave the gameplay the same and polish out some stuff
A DMC1 remake would honestly need to rework Mallet Island’s design too to fit with the new combat style of 5, especially towards the end of the game, areas become far more claustrophobic which wouldn’t exactly work in the new combat’s favour; you have open areas here and there but it still wouldn’t be enough to accommodate the mechanics of the later games.
Now here's my deal with dmc, I am by technicality a "new comer" to the franchise at the time when I had dmc5. So I platinumed dmc5 and said, "I'm gonna try the rest of the series." And so I did. I bought the HD collection of dmc, and dmc4 special edition. I didn't have as much fun with dmc1 as most people (but this is normal due to the fact I started with 5) but I think it was overall a good game, I won't speak of dmc2. Dmc3 was honestly both fun and somewhat frustrating for me because I had to adjust to the game, but I did enjoy it. But I had the most fun with dmc4 from the entire franchise (aside from 5) so I would love to be able to have that dmc3 style switch thing, the only I didn't like about dmc3 was the fact I was locked to a singular style and with only 4 weapons in total
If capcom ever make a DMC remake games, should be a faithful remake and not reimagination like those RE games, capcom doesn't even called them remake, because they changed so much stuff, that they had to call reimagination.
Furthermore, the original directors need to direct the DMC remakes, Hideki Kamiya directing DMC1 and Hideaki Itsuno directing the DMC2 and 3 remakes. This way they can focus much more on expanding the Remake by increasing what can be added to the official game, just like Shingi Mikami did with RE1 2002, instead of trying to change countless things just to give a feeling of novelty, which in the end gives more of a feeling of forced novelty.
imagine they make dmc 1 super ambience based, more horror based and keep the same Dmc 3 super epic combat flow on dmc 5 graphichs , literally a wet dream
About dmc 2... I think they shouldn't use the usual dante formula with styles and weapon switching. I thing it woudl be cool if they expanded on orignal view by making it more gun focused. Like adding stylish and cool gunslinger moves, maybe even some combos which use both swords and guns.
They should deadass make a Sparda game. Playing through his rebellion against Mundus would be awesome since it’s never specified what kind of Demons he fought or where he fought them in the Underworld, so they would have a lot of creative freedom for character designs and environment designs. But even if they don’t do that then they should just make a DMC3 remake. I don’t think people really realize how easy of a remake that would be to pull off (at least conceptually, I’m not saying it would be easy at all to make). Just give Dante his Style switching and being able to swap through all of his weapons and call it a day. I know that you brought up in this video that Vergil and Lady should be integrated into the story better through gameplay if there ever is a DMC3 remake, but unfortunately from everything we see what they do while we’re being a crazy spider monkey as Dante is just kinda…boring? Lady’s climbing the tower half of the time and Vergil’s mostly just walking with Arkham. I’m not saying it’s not impossible, but I just don’t get how they could do it properly. I do actually quite like the idea though. It would probably make the player feel a lot more connection to Lady and Vergil when you eventually fight them as Dante. Sorry for the long ass paragraph lol, just wanted to share my thoughts on the idea.
@@Hedron1027 I never wanna see someone passionate for dmc apologize for a long comment 😂😂 in my opinion I would love to play as Vergil in this remake idea and walk in his shoes as he was collecting the 7 deadly sins to raise the tower. (The story that took place in manga) and during the main game I just think it would be cool to throw in a couple missions with him as he levels up through the story and that goes back to my coop idea of two people playing as Dante and Vergil vs Arkham. And as for lady? She didn’t really end up getting her part of the manga for what she was doing before the events of the dmc3 game so they could def cook something up with that. And maybe give us a couple new parts of the tower unexplored by Dante and exclusively for her. (Love how I think of all this stuff after I already uploaded the video lol)
If any game should be remade, it's 3 - it was the turning point for the series that made it what it is today. I can only imagine what a proper remake for it would look like!
You have some nice ideas here, but a decent amount of them directly change parts of the story in confusing and contradictory ways. Dante already had all his DMC4 Devil Arms prior to DMC4, for example. (More detail on that in the DMC4 novel.)
I want a 3 remake so bad, but an update for 1 and with 2 there is the opportunity to right the wrong of the past and fix that game...Mostly tho, I want 6. And in 6, I think we should play as the brothers, forced to work together to fight their way out of Hell. No time for the rivalry or fighting each other, Dante and Virgil have to work together to overcome and escape Hell. It's a great opportunity to bury the hatchet between them and have some real character development.
I have heard rumors out there that Itsuno doesn't like games being remade and more importantly bar 2 the originals are perfectly fine games that don't even need a remake. Even if Itsuno is fine with remakes (obviously with Capcom's current market strategy it'd be foolish of Itsuno to speak out against them) his interviews constantly have him saying that as he gets near the end of his career he wants to make as many games in as many genres as possible which is itself an implication that he'd rather not spend years retreading old ground when his work on the DMC series is basically everything he wanted to do in it. And combat director Suzuki Ryouta seems to have moved to Squeenix. And there's even the rumors that Capcom is on bad terms with Reuben Langdon and doesn't want to hire him to play Dante. So that's why DMC probably won't get a remake. Or if it does it likely won't live up to what you might expect.
If they dont make a remake and do a continuation here is my idea for DMC 6 Y'see Dante and Vergil are based on the characters from Dante's inferno where Dante ans Vergil traverse all 9 circles of hell So now that Vergil and Dante are LITERALLY IN HELL it is the PERFECT TIME to call back to their original versions and have them go through hell together IMMENSE POTENTIAL IMO
@Omega-jg4oq no. This is the biggest fucking problem in the gaming industry. They rely too much on remakes and remasters that new games fall in quality. Would you rather have new games or be stuck in the past?
@@luigi7781 I'm talking only about Dmc, I'm not even the one who asks for remakes or remasters and sometimes they don't come good as we expected.. I have seen this with Warcraft 3 reforged, the developers sure takes the easy lazy way out instead of taking a risk.. but still some games actually deserves a remake because it's seems pretty outdated nowadays.. but it's not necessary.. but it could be a good idea and Dmc has no remakes no remasters.. Dmc2 is terrible and we got one Reboot which it is DmC : Devil May Cry and Dmc4 is unfinished, the very best games are Dmc3 and Dmc5 and Dmc1 is okay
@Omega-jg4oq and I'm talking about all old dmc games. We don't need any more remakes. We just need to move forward. The occasional remake every once in a while is alright, but once we start relying on them, that's a huge problem. Honostly, if you think dmc needs a remake that bad, then you shouldn't play it because you can't appreciate it for what it was. Might as well remake every single fucking game around that generation because today's gamers want all old games to be remade and no new games. Give me fucking dmc 6. That's all I'm asking for.
@luigi7781 you totally got me wrong bro, I literally just said I'm not the one who askd for remakers or remasters and I never said remake every single game.. just one game at least and I also want Dmc6 as much as you do, but I hate to break it to you bro.. but it's going to take another 10 years to wait unfortunately, because Itsuno left and so as Dante's voice actor and Dmc series is not even Capcom's main focus, just appreciate we have another Dmc anime for now
Tbh I'd prefer a sequel or prequel to this title rather than a remake. Cause if they're gonna remake any of the previous games, that will take up a crazy amount of time! I don't wanna wait another decade again for the progression of the story.
Speaking about DMC6, i need to say that i feel DMC5 like final bow, and that's why DMC6 can never be released. But i got one idea for a plot: several years has passed, Nero and Kirie married and waiting for a baby. But Kirie got ill, because of demonical power of her child. Nero decide to find Vergil and Dante for help. So he, Trish and Lady go to the remains of Themin'gru (tower from dmc3) to open portal. In the demonical world they searching for twins, then searching how to save Kirie and all goes back. And the final scene: Vergil taking his newborn grandson on hands, he feels so much emotions at the same time that, after decades, he drops tears on baby. The final sentence maybe too comely, but i feel it like a huge dot in Vergil's way back
Vergil was cool af inDMC3. Both in terms of story and gameplay.. the moveset and movements were so awesome. the moves were less in number but, man such elegance ❤❤❤❤
There's a small part of me that doesn't actually want a remake of the first game despite it not aging particularly well. And that's down to the mechanical enemy design, seriously, barring a few exceptions DMC1 has near-perfect mechanical enemy design; to such a degree that I think there's a lot that modern-day games could learn from it. And it's something that Hideki Kamiya never managed to recapture, not even in the Bayonetta series. In regards to a future game in the series, I'd personally love to see a game where we play as Dante and Vergil as they fight their way through the demon realm. Have the plot of the game revolve around the two of them actually making an effort to work through their differences, come to terms with their past and grow closer as brothers even if only by a little. They could even use it as an opportunity to finally give Vergil some new toys to play with and I reckon it'd be a great way to deliver a whole heap of fanservice by bringing back a lot of classic demons and such.
It would be cool if the dmc 4 remake would have Nero kill the first bosses and gain new devil arms from them and Dante could get the devil arms he originally got in the game
Honestly, the only one that really deserves a remake is DMC 2. "But DMC 2 is the worst in the series!" I hear you say. And my response is: that's WHY it needs a remake more than any other game in the series! I'm tired of getting remakes of games everyone praises to hell and back. I'd like to see remakes of games that didn't live up to their potential. DMC 2, Chaos Legion, Nanobreakers, Sword of Etheria, Altered Beasts, and many more.
Honestly, both DMC 3 & 4 don't need Remakes because they are still considered Modern Games and have Aged well over the course of Time, but DMC 1 & 2 do need Remakes because of how Outdated these 2 games really are, DMC2 especially because the Gameplay was Wonky and Heavy, the Story was Forgettable and all the Villains like Arius are not Interesting (except Bolverk though), this why DMC2 needs a Remake to fix all the Problems it had since 2003, like Re-Write the Story and Characters, Re-Vamp the Gameplay and Bosses, DMC1 on the other hand of needing a Remake has to do these kinds of Direct changes, 1st off, Dante Gameplay was too Simple in the 1st off, the Voice Acting needs to be Fixed and it's obvious that Reuben Langdon will definitely reprise his Role as Dante (because he is Dante himself), 2nd however, the Story needs to remain Intact but could use a little bit more Tweek like letting us play as Trish in her Perspective outside of Dante's Main Story, 3rd is to also Re-Vamp the Gameplay by making it Diverse like using the Style Mechanic since Limitations are no longer an Issue in today's and make the Camera more 3rd Person and no more annoying Fixed Angles, Finally though, get rid of the Platforming and the Hideki Kamiya Rail Shooter Segments.
DMC 3 doesnt even need a remake tbh, it holds up as is. Now, 1 DESERVES the remake considering how much had to be cut from the visual style, anyone who has looked at the dmc 1 concept art knows what im talking about. However i'd probably be upset if they release a dmc 1 remake and the style has been dmc 5-ified. 5 is probably the most dull and drab visually, and this includes the "gritty" reboot.
the thing is they may be working in a new game or a remake right now, but we will not know anything until waaaaaay later, making a hack n' slash it's harder than making a shooter
Capcom sure loves making incredible game series’ and then just dropping them and refusing to elaborate. It’s pretty goofy that it’s happened more then once😐
6:49 itd be cool if she got the Artemis gun instead of Dante and her as a human having a Devil Arm could give her a DT of some kind. It could also help with the foreshadowing of events in DMC5
I personally don't think DMC4 needs a remake its good how it is, and would be a waste of time that could be used remaking/making other Devil May Cry games.
Something I want for all 3 remakes ,is being able to choose wich styles i go with,id mainly just swap out RG with Quicksilver.I absolutely love abusing DMC3 as Super sparda and i would love for that to continue on in the other titles not just 3
This was a very well made video, no doubt about it, but I absolutely despise the idea of any DMC game getting remade. Sure it'd be cool, but you've seen how it goes. We get like one DMC a decade now. Do you REALLY want the next several decades be entirely taken up with Capcom rehashing the same content that everyone can already play and enjoy, instead of simply doing something new? I get stuff like 1 not telling the story it has to any satisfying degree, but this series is gameplay first, and a whole new entry with a completely new roster of enemies and bosses would be infinitely more valuable than slapping a new coat of paint on existing ones just so you can have Dante be visibly sad when Nelo dies (and somehow is still slouching around Redgrave 20 years later) I really wanna make a video on this myself eventually once I finally have a PC, because it's impossibly hard to try convince people of anything with a comment. I feel like I'd make a convincing case tho
First, I am very grateful that you enjoyed the video! Second, I totally understand where you are coming from. Having to wait 11 years from dmc4 all the way up to 5 was definitely miserable lol. But my main motivation for writing this video was from the experiences I’ve had with some close friends. Re4 2005 is my second favorite video game of all time, and when I would see some friends try and play that game they can’t really bring themselves to look past the old controls and some of the visuals and gameplay mechanics. But it was a different story when the Re4R came out. And on top of that they have mainly played dmc5 and none of the older titles since some of them were spoiled by 5 lol. All and all I was keeping them in mind and some other people I’ve seen online give their take on the dmc franchise and how they can’t really bring themselves to enjoy the ogs. Me personally I would still LOVE to see a remake happen for the ogs. (Mainly the first one) but I am more in favor of a 6th game just to see what all capcom can bring after everything that happened in dmc5. And if they aren’t doing that then I would love to see my idea for a sparda prequel to come to life! But in a world where they do decide remaking them is what they want to do.. then I would hope that they stay consistent with the remakes for dmc the same way they did Resi.
@@wesptb Interesting, I played RE4 for the first time only a couple years back myself, and aside from the fact that it was annoying how you'd always have to slowly aim downwards after pulling the knife out to slash enemies on the ground (Instead of being able to like have Leon facing the ground immediately) there really was nothing about the controls that bothered me in the slightest. Maybe it's cuz I don't play a lot of shooters, so I didn't have any particular control scheme in mind and "had my expectations subverted". Anyway, in regards to DMC, to me it'd actually be fine if new fans couldn't bring themselves to play 1 to 4, because look how many people are all in on 5 as their first game. That means there isn't like the necessity for people to really know of the story as long as the new entry just looks cool and exciting to play. So they would still likely buy a 6 anyway, even without any remakes of the first ones being necessary to catch them up on stuff and get them on board. Things like the Sparda prequel (as you and many others suggested) would be cooler in my book, yeah. While I want new games, to me that doesn't necessarily mean "DMC6". I would be fine with spin-off games set earlier in the timeline, as long as it just does something fresh and exciting. Idk I really hope I can eventually make that video and maybe pitch some ideas with artwork and whatnot Thanks for taking your time to respond, not taking offense to my opposing stance, and tolerating my annoyingly long comment lol
This is actually a valid point. I was always thinking they should give us IPs theyre sitting on like Dino Crisis or a Breath of Fire reboot. But DMC remakes? Jackpot.
Have Nero go to the Demon clans and learn his own way of using Dantes styles, finally making him fully take the best parts of Dante, and Virgil and step away as a version of himself that's all his own😅

There was a playable campaign for Lady in DmC 3, it’s in the game’s code, even, but it ended up not being part of the final version of the game. If it does get a remake, Lady should have her own story
i had no idea! she def should get her own spotlight in a remake

@@idfkimaclownfor some reason i just got a sonic adventure 2-esque idea of two separate stories focusing on nero's adventures in the human world and dante and vergil's in the demon world respectively, that then culminates in a last story where all three come together to fight the big bad(s) or something
yooooo what of they gave nero a shadow the hedgehog type of rival of his own, that guy could be the main antagonist of nero's story

I personally believe DMC3 will be the first in line for a remake

DMC6 being both a sequel and prequel with Dante, Vergil and Sparda as playable characters similar to Godfather Part 2, with Dante and Vergil exploring Hell and finding out about Sparda's origins was an idea I had. My only problem is...where could Nero fit?
No.

YESSSSS!!!
You sir, are a genius and should be a game developer/director for Capcom
Yes, yes, and more yes
The one thing that I love about DMC 1 is its atmosphere. From an outside look it's a horror game - an abandoned gothic castle full of monstrosities craving for human blood, the heavy ambience, the notes of the people that used to live there and do not anymore...
But as soon as a battle starts, the heavy metal intensifies, Dante whips out the Force Edge and spins Ebony and Ivory in his hands and all the horror elements are overshadowed by his sheer *SSStyle* .
Just came back after hearing about the Dead Rising Remake... dude, they GOTTA remake DMC now. There's no way they don't.

Firstly I loved your video, it was well thought out :)
About remakes, I can’t help but be super excited if they brought back DMC3 , as it holds a special place in my heart 🥰
Dante: >looking down at the body on the streets below<
Lucia: Don't worry... you got him.
Dante: No, wasn't me. T'was beauty killed the beast.
>4th wall shatters as Mission Complete screen comes up<
We all know the Double Wolves in DMC2 suck and they also made Bolverk an actual definition of bitch to fight.
😂 And to bring it full circle, instead of standing there silently, waiting to be murked, Argosax can make one last offer for Dante to merge with him, "Don't, Dante... we can be the King of this world." only to be rejected with a savage "Jackpot" before being shot out of existence!
loved this!
I would love to see how he would pull the iconic moment that was "Fill Your Dark Soul With Light" 😂
As for Devil May Cry 4. Please give my man Dante his due with his own levels. That and we need that stupid Dice game removed. I think every fan can say the same thing.
Hearing Reuben deliver that line would be incredible 🤣and having the original acting be the main focus like the MGS3 remake is genius!
Honestly im content with where the series left off, not all games need remakes or need to continue. As much as i love the series, it can take one game to completely sour my experience (DmC), but hey if they do decide to remake a dmc game i would like dmc2 for obvious reasons.
the worst part of this is that your pitch for a dmc3 remake is 100% able to be done. but they just like ignoring this series, I guess
The question I’ve been asking many days now
Real shit the love I have for the Resident Evil and DMC franchises is crazy hope we get remakes for DMC 1-4 or AT LEAST 1-3
Co-op needs to be there in the upcoming games. Modders have already implemented it in every game, hell even capcom has done it in DMC 3 switch edition. Imagine playing as Dante Trish and lady through the entire story of 4 with a truck load of demons spawning in.
I want the freaking remix so bad I even did a video myself talking about my ideas of how they could do a DMC 2 remake
A few autocorrects but yeah
re2 made more sense because the remake was so different to the OG. I'd imagine with a dmc3 remake they'd likely keep the combat the same but update the graphics, I feel like the changes wouldn't be enough to draw people in, it would be borderline the same game just a little prettier.
Sparda Gameplay: Rizz up Eva (a dating simulator)
I could use one for DMC3 it was by far my favorite of the 5 but the camera and contorls are janky af. It deserves a remake. 3&5 are my favorite
I believe that they would probably be thinking about remaking in chronological order, 3,1,2,4. But still, here's hoping.
hoping and praying 🙏
I would say start with 1, since DMC3 still holds up pretty well, and 2 isn't really as significant story wise. Plus I really want to see a modern RE Engine powered take on Mallet Island.
@@phootaphan9166 they could rework the graphics, add style change and call it a day.
Tbh, we dont need a remake of any dmc, we need a new dmc 6, waiting again another 11 years to get just a remake is kinda meh.
Maybe after the re receive the whole saga remaked we can hope for the dmc remakes
Hey Dante! Will we meet again?
I would love to play Devil May Cry 3 Remake.
This way they can focus much more on expanding the Remake by increasing what can be added to the official game, just like Shingi Mikami did with RE1 2002, instead of trying to change countless things just to give a feeling of novelty, which in the end gives more of a feeling of forced novelty.
imagine they make dmc 1 super ambience based, more horror based and keep the same Dmc 3 super epic combat flow on dmc 5 graphichs , literally a wet dream
in a perfect world 😭
Capcom has so many banger titles. I still want dmc 6 and a dmc 1 or 3 remake but I want Onimusha, power stone, and Rival Schools back.
About dmc 2... I think they shouldn't use the usual dante formula with styles and weapon switching. I thing it woudl be cool if they expanded on orignal view by making it more gun focused. Like adding stylish and cool gunslinger moves, maybe even some combos which use both swords and guns.
Does Devil may cry 6 will happen ?😢
It is me Anthony Hayes, I graduated from Lincoln County High School since 2020.
IM SAYING
DMC 1 and 2 need remakes.
We need a dmc 5 remake
You have some nice ideas here, but a decent amount of them directly change parts of the story in confusing and contradictory ways. Dante already had all his DMC4 Devil Arms prior to DMC4, for example. (More detail on that in the DMC4 novel.)
Funny thing, Mundus basically one shots Vergil (theres comics and novels and stuff)
If they dont make a remake and do a continuation here is my idea for DMC 6
Y'see Dante and Vergil are based on the characters from Dante's inferno where Dante ans Vergil traverse all 9 circles of hell
So now that Vergil and Dante are LITERALLY IN HELL it is the PERFECT TIME to call back to their original versions and have them go through hell together
IMMENSE POTENTIAL IMO
Dmc doesn't need remakes. We got the hd collection on modern consoles and steam, so there's no need.
Yes, it does.. the hd collection is not enough
@luigi7781 you totally got me wrong bro, I literally just said I'm not the one who askd for remakers or remasters and I never said remake every single game.. just one game at least and I also want Dmc6 as much as you do, but I hate to break it to you bro.. but it's going to take another 10 years to wait unfortunately, because Itsuno left and so as Dante's voice actor and Dmc series is not even Capcom's main focus, just appreciate we have another Dmc anime for now
Capcom Better Make 2 Games Of DMC Especially The Other One With Our Lord And Savior Sparda

The final sentence maybe too comely, but i feel it like a huge dot in Vergil's way back
i feel like dmc 2 needs a remake more than 1.
They could even use it as an opportunity to finally give Vergil some new toys to play with and I reckon it'd be a great way to deliver a whole heap of fanservice by bringing back a lot of classic demons and such.
i played DMC 1 after DMC 5 and i loved it 😅 map is confusing though
ps. Capcom, hire this man.
you're so right! We've gotten so many RE remakes and they forgot entirely about dmc. heres hoping (also i subbed, hope you get seen. pre 1k club!)

I just hope they dont completely change the designs of some of these characters in remakes with how they bring in different face models
I heard about Resident Evil, But didn't know about Devil May Cry.
Honestly, both DMC 3 & 4 don't need Remakes because they are still considered Modern Games and have Aged well over the course of Time, but DMC 1 & 2 do need Remakes because of how Outdated these 2 games really are,
DMC2 especially because the Gameplay was Wonky and Heavy, the Story was Forgettable and all the Villains like Arius are not Interesting (except Bolverk though), this why DMC2 needs a Remake to fix all the Problems it had since 2003, like Re-Write the Story and Characters, Re-Vamp the Gameplay and Bosses,
DMC1 on the other hand of needing a Remake has to do these kinds of Direct changes, 1st off, Dante Gameplay was too Simple in the 1st off, the Voice Acting needs to be Fixed and it's obvious that Reuben Langdon will definitely reprise his Role as Dante (because he is Dante himself), 2nd however, the Story needs to remain Intact but could use a little bit more Tweek like letting us play as Trish in her Perspective outside of Dante's Main Story, 3rd is to also Re-Vamp the Gameplay by making it Diverse like using the Style Mechanic since Limitations are no longer an Issue in today's and make the Camera more 3rd Person and no more annoying Fixed Angles, Finally though, get rid of the Platforming and the Hideki Kamiya Rail Shooter Segments.
ENOUGH.
WITH.
THE.
FUCKING.
REMAKES!!
If you want a sequel.. you gotta wait for another 10 years
the thing is they may be working in a new game or a remake right now, but we will not know anything until waaaaaay later, making a hack n' slash it's harder than making a shooter
sparda did not die, he disappeared. so they could do a prequal OR a sequel with him!
Devil May Cry 2 needs to be redone…
Capcom sure loves making incredible game series’ and then just dropping them and refusing to elaborate. It’s pretty goofy that it’s happened more then once😐
right???
6:49 itd be cool if she got the Artemis gun instead of Dante and her as a human having a Devil Arm could give her a DT of some kind. It could also help with the foreshadowing of events in DMC5
NGL that picture of Dmc5 dante with 3s outfit got me like 🤤🤤
i trully hope this clip misteriously pops up to the devs :3 that would be so awesome
I get stuff like 1 not telling the story it has to any satisfying degree, but this series is gameplay first, and a whole new entry with a completely new roster of enemies and bosses would be infinitely more valuable than slapping a new coat of paint on existing ones just so you can have Dante be visibly sad when Nelo dies (and somehow is still slouching around Redgrave 20 years later)
I really wanna make a video on this myself eventually once I finally have a PC, because it's impossibly hard to try convince people of anything with a comment.
Idk I really hope I can eventually make that video and maybe pitch some ideas with artwork and whatnot
Thanks for taking your time to respond, not taking offense to my opposing stance, and tolerating my annoyingly long comment lol
This is actually a valid point. I was always thinking they should give us IPs theyre sitting on like Dino Crisis or a Breath of Fire reboot. But DMC remakes? Jackpot.
Dino Crisis could be wild. But I NEEDS DMC remade
imagine this dude just react to dmc peak of combat current version vs old version
Have Nero go to the Demon clans and learn his own way of using Dantes styles, finally making him fully take the best parts of Dante, and Virgil and step away as a version of himself that's all his own😅
i always thought nero needed some "styles" of his own other than just his devil breakers lol
Demon clans? What lore ypu reading 💀
praying we get something for dmc at capcom next today 🙏
I would rather have DMC6 instead although I'm not going to complain if we get a remake.
