Amber, have you considered a paypal account so your subscribes can help you through donating. Wow, Regina has some miles under her hood, her starter motor dosent sound too healthy.
Your finally getting rid of the yellow, oh, sorry about your rug, but you're right these things happen.
Hope you manage to stay well and warm this winter. 🤞
Great video, good to see you growing into the vloging, you're getting better and better 😊👍
Thanks Amber!😊
Buy a shower tension rod and hang your blanket over it at whatever level you want.
❤ thank you for sharing with us!
OMG Amber, it's about that seatbelt!!!! Safety First
I like her channel and am new to her and Matt's journey, but I agree...😮😮 that seatbelt sends me...how much to get that fixed? I will donate to something to fix that!!
Aww. Amber, your videos are worth the wait
Hola Amber! A 71 year old senior working part-time in Huber Heights, OH.
Love your videos. Thank you for sharing.
Keep ‘em coming Amber!!!😬👍🏽
hang a string across the back of your van then fold your martial over the string that way you can see the pretty design on the martial
Just maybe, Add a wool blanket to block the back doors. Keep up the video thing. U Go Girl.
Good to see more video content coming from your direction, Amber. Here’s an idea for the heat loss/cold entry from the back doors, which I assume you don’t use much, if at all. Or at least for the winter months; Open up the back doors and clean up all the white painted areas you don’t see when the doors are closed with brake cleaner to degrease it all. Then cover as much of it as you can with duct tape (degreasing was so the duct tape sticks) to cover the painted areas. Now spray the surface of the duct tape with a spray grease like Rust Check or similar and get a thin coat over all the duct tape. Now you can close the doors (or nearly close them to leave a gap all the way around) and get a can of expanding foam and spray it all the way around the door edges in the jambs and and once done close and lock the doors. The foam will expand and fill the gaps but the spray grease will stop it sticking to anything. The duct tape is extra insurance on this. So if/when you want to open up again , you can just force the doors past the foam and then pull it all out and peel the tape off so there’s no scraping foam off of the paint. If you plan on never using the doors, just leave it as is. I did this with an old cargo trailer that was converted into a camper. The back doors were bent from a rear end hit as well so we put a side door and a window in and sealed the back doors up this way. Still like it when we sold it. Nicely stopped all the draughts coming in. Just an idea to keep you warm but if you use the doors then no use, obviously!
Excellent advice!
Ohhhh thanks for the advice! I appreciate that 😁
Thanks Amber
Hi Amber. Hoping you are having a good week.
I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this video. It's a good day.
Amber, I am so happy you have more confidence, girl. Keep up the good videos! You've got this!
Moving blankets work great to block out the cold.
Ask Matthew if you can use his power tools
"things", hold one back. youre doing great. get what you need. work with what you got. thank you for the vidieo
Almost 5k exciting!! Thanks for sharing
❤
😎
Gooood day amber!!!!!!
👋 Amber
I hope you get your home winter ready....🙏 Can't you borrow Matthew's tools? I enjoy your channel 😊
Don't apologize for always being cold. It's the first time I feel like there's someone like me out there 🤣. Love your vlogs. Gives inspiration to us girls who aren't all super handy with building and electrical. That colour is so much better than the yellow. Thank you for sharing.
Hi Amber! I'm always cold too, i sleep with two blankets in the summer *blush*
I'm not looking to winter either. I have some extra insulation if you or Matthew need it. Don't forget to block off the rust holes by your heater so you don't gas yourself. I can loan you two tools as well if needed.
I'm liking the dusty rose better than the yellow too. Can't wait to see the Larches...something I've always wanted to see too - jellies!!!
Eyyyy thanks for watching ❤️ I’m working on that larch hike video now 😁
Hey Amber! I like the rose color you picked. Some great improvements! Good job again!
❤ I used spray 77 to glue the cardboard together at right angles, wrapped it with pallet wrap and then glued the silver first aid "blankets" . Attached with 3m heavy duty velcro
I think it all looks nice.
u can use a hair dryer to make the poly tighter on the windows
Hi Amber that noise is your starter telling you that it is about to go bye bye. The "ring gear" on the torque converter may be part of the problem. Because the converter teeth work with the starter gear. Do you know when the starter was changed the last time. The converter teeth can be inspected by removing the lower access plate on the bottom of the transmission bellhousing. Up in the air on a garage lift is the easy way. Have a nice day. Tom at the border.
Good job Amber👍 stay cozy 🥰🌻
❤️🥳 have fun with friend
Hey Amber! Another great video! Love the dusty rose color, so pretty! ❤
Your getting so much better at your videos. And on a much timelier matter. Thank you for taking care of our Matthew.
Your van is so cute, love it !
I was so happy to see that you posted a video. Thank you for showing us your winterization project.
Fold and move the curtain up so less of the red shoes 👍
Hi Amber --if you can avoid opening the rear doors till spring and staying warm is super important---then I would suggest that you get a sheet or 2 of the 1 in pink or blue foam board and some of the red TuckTape to seal the joints and to help hold the foam behind the bed on the inside of the back doors. The red tape is a bi--ch to remove so try to keep it minimal. This would seal out the worst draughts and keep you a LOT warmer in Calgary this winter. Have a nice day. Tom in the Maritimes at the NB-NS border.
Hi Amber!! 👋
Yay paint!! The dusty rose looks really good.... better than the yellow!
RIP to your rug 😢 but if it makes you feel any better, I once took a step backwards into a tray of white paint and it catapulted across my living room all over my dark carpet. An insane amount of tears were shed, and 3 days later I had it all scrubbed out.
I can assure you, 20+ years have gone by, and I haven't stepped in another tray lol
Nice video Amber and in answer to Matthew’s question on your last camping trip
yes I have quit a job to go on a boating adventure with friends. You only live once so enjoy when you can safe travels.💜
Oh yes dear Mr. Winter is soon to arrive 🤬. I'm thinking of how to "winterize" my van's trunk, my head gets cold 🥺 if it was straight I'd just sew two thermal curtains together like an envelope and insert a insulation board inside it and hang it. The joy of living in colder climate. Love your thrifty ways, that saves so much money.
There's got to be away to get the paint off, I'm sure you will give it a try.
Great video Amber, being in front of the camera more often has made a big difference. Keep that camera rolling I believe you have the chance to help many with contents like how to find deals, what lead you to this journey, what you enjoy doing.
Looking forward to seeing your next video.
Much love 🤗🤗
Would love to see more from your channel. I follow Matt and adore you
Awe thank you 😊
Loved your vid @happycoffeevanlife. That fabric is also very pretty, so the rose paint redo was perfect. Too bad about the paint, maybe buy a wee rug to put on top of the rug and hide the stain. The extra insulation/floor covering will not go amiss this winder.
I'm digg'n your improvements. You Go Girrrrrl. Love from S. California.
I use a shower curtain rod across the back of my E350 and blackout curtains to cut down drafts. You could drape the fabric you have over it to show the section you want.
Oooh, a hiking video in the works, looking forward to it :)
You need some of the ridget pink insulation for you back doors
Great working video!! Regina looks awesome!! Enjoy your hike!!
I love your down to earth personality and your natural look. Your videos are totally relatable. I am in the process of finishing my tiny home. I believe in things being functional and using temporary fixes until you have the time or money to do better. I love your van. It is filled with your personal touches. I will keep recommending your channel ❤❤❤
yep. just one of the ones that were born, "HOT". it happens. and the world viciously moves on. thanks
Hi Amber I saw your prepping for winter video and that red cloth material will hold up with Velcro but another suggestion is before you finalize everything go to a fabric store and buy leftover pieces of leather material for your back windows. Oh yeah fold the red fabric in half so you can see the design and double upped it will give you extra insulation. Hope you like the ideas.
🤔 I’ll definitely keep all that in mind for sure thanks! And thanks for watching 😁
Amber, if that is latex paint you can wash it out of you rug. Use a tension rod to hang up your tapestry. Like the new paint job. Happy travels. Give Matt a hug for me! ❤
you should look at habitat for humanity for supplies to warm up your van
Your home is looking very comfy, cozy 😀 good work, and thanks for the video
Good job Amber..keep on doing what you’re always doing. Have fun camping with your friend.Cheers
Hi Amber watched most of you're. Videos and its nice to see you growing in confidence looking forward to watching your journey in van life
🤙🤙🤙
Someone made my day, thanks......
AMBER!👋🤗 ...good to see your video today, GREAT JOB!👍. That cardboard fix reminded me of how we used to patch up the windows in MA , when a hurricane was blowing thru😳👀. I really like the Dusty Rose paint ...it looks nice. AWESOME fix on the cabinet door ... Velcro for the 'WIN'!🎉. Take care of yourself, stay safe & God bless you.😇🙏
Your a NATURAL at this ... keep it up!👍🤗💖😇
Hardware stores have bigger stronger magnets some with hooks- that is a very pretty wall hanging 😊
Thanks for the great video. I appreciate the fact that you and Matt work with older vehicles and DYI and makeshift ideas. It shows how to have things without breaking the bank.
Larches are the deciduous conifers in Alberta. That’s why their needles yellow as they harden off and prepare for dormancy and then drop their needles. The fallen needles act as a mulch/nutrient/ph bed. They also give admirers great eye pleasure!
Ohhh good to know! 🙏 thank you and thanks for watching!
Amber i love your videos! I also love that early morning look, you're just like the rest of us and i think that is the appeal
"REMOVABLE CAULK" - I use it every winter on my windows to keep the cold air from blowing in. If you don't open your back doors during the winter, then removable caulk will be a good idea to keep the cold air out!
I buy it at Menards, it's like Lowes, Home Depot, possibly at Canadian Tire.
Hi, if you want the paint off of the carpet, use the "safe" paint remover and a car wash sprayer.
I've moving blanket block a lot of drafts
Awesome to see more video's. Keep em coming, always happy to see them in my feed.😊
Hi Amber!!
Wow another. Video😮 Thanks doing great keep it up Amber❤
Thank you Amber it’s always good to see you, either here or hanging out with Matthew. I’m looking forward to seeing the hiking weekend pics, I imagine the views are beautiful. Btw Amber, you have a lovely vibe on camera, very warm, with a cheeky, naughty side. Lol.
Lookin' good Amber. Sorry about the paint spilling.
Hi Amber🎉!
Yayyyy an Amber video =) Do a Gofundme Amber. I am sure that alot of us would contribute to your tool and battery problem. Also sounds like a starter or worse yet missing teeth on flywheel problem on your van.
fly wheel , this is exactly what I was thinking.
Hello Amber ...Was lovely to see you posted again. I like the new paint color. Hope you are able to stay warmer this winter.
I put plastic vapour barrier, then wool blankets over back and side doors I use 1 layer magnets and 2 nd layer tape .
Good to see you again…😁
❤❤❤
Hi Amber I really like your videos you keep it real unlike a lot of van RUclipsrs! Keep making videos and thanks for sharing ❤😊
Yea, another Amber video already! Good job. Like your intro its very chill. I'm a coffee person too, but I don't drink as nearly much as you do. I think the dusty rose color is much better. I still think you should do some videos of your thrifting adventures. Take care.
Hey kiddo, I don't see a Patreon link. What's up?
You crack me up, and remind me of myself trying to fix my vehicles and house on my own lol. (Single). You're really funny, and I like your real videos. Keep that shit up. 💪🏻😊❤
The hiking trip sounds beautiful. I’d love to see some in video.
Great content! To block out cold I used to use outdoor medium weight cloth with two liners of quilting padding & waterproof cloth. Stitch together (be sure your machine can handle it) with a heavy duty needle. Using heavy duty Command hooks & heavy duty elastic run the elastic through the curtain to the end. With 2nd Command hook & strip attach elastic. Quick instructions. If interested I can send better ones.
You’re doing really great!
thanks for keeping up posted, Amber! It's good to see you in great mood and shining, as always =)
Hi, Amber! I like the dusty rose paint. Your paint spill? Just let it absorb into a cloth/ rag that you’re not going to use anymore. It okay to have a white big dot on the floor or you can paint it black to match the rest of the rug. Lol.
Nice to see you in my feed Amber. I'm in Austrlia, nowhere near as cold as over there! Great video :)
Love it you done great on your work, and Im just gonna say YOU NAILED IT!!! 😎❤✌🙏
Check out shrink window coverings, for windows. They did have wider options. This would work great. You would put this on the doors. Totally removable whenever. Then use moving blankets over the top, basically like curtains. The window shrink covering works well on house windows. I don't see why it wouldn't work on that back door.
Always worth the wait. Love from the UK 🙂
“Regina is a bumpy girl” 🤣🤣, me too!
I am getting ready for winter, too. I don't have to fire up the diesel heater yet, but when I do, I'm ready for it to take about 7 tries to come to life. Every season it worries me thinking it won't fire up, but then it does.
Great Job with the videos and posting ! Keep going ! Love the updated Rose color, Much Better !! 😊
A M B E R ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! 😊
I love the roof of ur van, how did u get that like that, i also like your videos, keepem coming, Hollern atya from West Tennessee, USA
Work out where your main heat losses and drafts are located.
People pitch tents at camp 4 on mount Everest, slide into a sleeping bag and can stay warm.
You can do it
Thank you Amber.
Really look forward to your videos and they are better and better.
Please keep them coming. I love that you make do with what ever you have.
You are so frugal and very selective on what you spend your money on.
Great video Amber! With each video your skills are getting better and you seem more relaxed.
@happycoffeevanlife I just reported a scammer impersonating you!
