Absolutely love the John Otto appreciation, one of the most undera-recognised drummers of our time. Personally I think the drumming throughout the whole Chocolate Starfish album was so tasty and different.
Thanks for sharing. Its always good to see you explaining some stuff. It inspires me to go and do more exercises on my DM10 MKII Pro Drum Kit. At least it is good to make some daily physical exercise (like in a gymnasium).
Nice. I actually largely think of it the other way round - I train physically so that I'm ready to play and have stamina on the kit (and let's face it, mostly for lugging my kit around, the physical aspects of being a gigging drummer, driving home late etc). But there's no question drumming is a physical business. Cheers.
Cheers! Not just using my ears, though (although of course they're very important) - I also find looking at videos , especially live footage very useful in working out what's being played, as well as looking at drum scores, if available. Thanks for watching.

It is funny: when you play the groove, I hear bass and guitar. So the whole thing is so catchy.
I never appreciated how much of a groove is in the drums on this track. Too mesmerised by Wes's crazy guitars and sick makeup :D
Man I wish I had a good enough ear to be able to pick the drums out to play to my favourite tunes!! great grooving!

😮 thank you so much sir ❤❤
Very cool. I never realized this drum beat was THAT interesting. It’s amazing.
Limp Bizkit gets a lot of (deserved) hate, but their drums are so interesting
Now improvise an accompanying fill utilising similar syncopated kicks. :)
Can we give trinity exam on electric drums
Yes, go to the trinity website for details!
For next video can you please use a cowbell
You and that cowbell! Here's a video that features cowbell: ruclips.net/video/N5Wig9-LNyk/видео.html&pp=ygUabWllayBiYXJuZXMgZHJ1c20gcmFpbHJvYWQ%3D
I play open hand so wouldn't need to bring my hi hat hand down on the snare. Interesting to think about
Yep, bring your hi-hat hand down to the snare however you play! Cheers
So much talent wasted on Fred Durst
