Étude Caprice No.24 (extract from Allegro con fuoco)
On Emile Sauret’s 169th birthday today, reminiscing on the final session, recording his Étude Caprice No.24 - bringing the world premiere recording series of his 24 Études Caprices, op.64 to a close on 22 April 2019. Volume 4 was released on Naxos exactly a year ago today.
Recorded on Sauret's own c.1685 Stradivari violin, kindly loaned by John Ludlow.

The technique here is insane! The flying staccato is beautiful

Amazing job, ive been learning bruch violin concerto and this makes it look like im playing the abcs, and the amount of upbow staccato is insane and how u can make it so clear.

I am not familiar with the Sauret Caprices so if this is an indication of the rest of them, I am not surprised nobody posts them on RUclips (except you.) I will have to buy the CD, absolutely. (The only thing we ever hear by Sauret is his Paganini cadenza.)
