OMG this is my dream come true. I cannot wait to get my enclosed flight area I have built ready for the butterflies the flowers the host plants all the seeds to sprout, the buterflies mating the eggs laid, and the caterpillars hatched for further generations here to be and to come. Amen amen amen.
This is just absolutely beautiful
OMG I want it all!!
I wanna build this exact environment same exact build in my backyard thank you so much GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY Take care of. Your sisters everyone always watch over your family protect eachother GOD GOT US ALL❤
That’s a lot of work. Great job
Is it hard to predict how much of the host plant is required for feeding a certain number of caterpillars? How do u manage ensuring you have enough?
You always need a lot more leaf than you expect. There isn’t really a guide to it, every species is different but usually it’s best to rear small numbers and make sure they have enough leaf than to try rearing hundreds, and they run out of food half way through.
I have a Common Diadem Butterfly catterpillar. Fun fact: The Hypolimnas misipus actualy looks like the Cethosia cyane! And the Common Diadem mimics the African Monarch too! What a mimicing species!😮😮😮
Yes! The point is, Hypolimnas misippus mimic Danaus chrysippus for it's own protection. Danaus chrysippus is one of poisonous butterflies. If a bird ate it, it would vomit due to it's toxicity. It then will avoid butterflies that has the same/similar paterns.
How do you water all those beautiful flowers once the butterflies 🦋 are hatched
Awesome

I have a question? I live in Canada where there are no butterfly suppliers so is there a way i can send you a list of the butterfly’s i need and the money and you can purchase them and send them my way just a question?
Hello, unfortunately I belive Canada is the same as the US where you need a permit to be able to keep any tropical species. The permits are only available to butterfly attractions rather than individuals so you would only be able to keep native species there.
@@TropicalButterfliesUK I have read the permit for canada and i can not keep native endangered butterflies this includes:
Karner Blue (L. melissa samuelis)
Monarch (D. plexippus)
West Virginia White (P. virginiensis)
Mottled Duskywing (E. martialis)
Bog Elfin (C. lanoraieensis)
Frosted Elfin (C. irus)
Black Swallowtail (P. polyxenes)
Giant Swallowtail (P. cresphontes)
Old World Swallowtail (P. machaon)
Pipevine Swallowtail (P. philenor)
Spicebush Swallowtail (P. troilus)
Eastern Tiger Swallowtail (P. glaucus)
Canadian Tiger Swallowtail (P. canadensis)
Zebra Swallowtail (E. marcellus)
