  • My first What's In My Bag video for 2021, and this time I'm featuring the limited edition Domke/Fujifilm F-803 shoulder bag. I've had this bag since 2018 and it's one of my favourite bags to use on my days off when I'm running around and doing chores with my wife. For this particular day I decided to use a strap and carry the new Fujifilm X-E4 around my neck as I had some images I really wanted to get, but everything else was thrown into this little-big bag. Here are links to the items I mention in the video. Some links are missing as the items are discontinued:

    I think I’ve decided that the X-E4 looks best in black and the X100V looks best in silver.

    • @bigheadtaco

      For sure. I have the silver X-E3.... not as sexy. But silver X100V? I get ‘nice Leica’ every time I carry it around my neck :-)

      As both of you (subscriber of both btw 😉) have the clever supply straps, is the minimal anchor comfy enough for a X-Pro? I love that they use the peak system with leather, I have the X100T, X-Pro1 and the Nikon FE and like the idea of ‚One Strap to rule them all‘ 😎. and unsure between the minimal and the standard one.....also are you able to get the strings through the lugs w/o adding a split ring? I‘d like that.
      Cheers from Switzerland

      @@michel559 thanks for the kind words! I’d be curious what Benj and Take think, but generally I find the minimal anchor to be all around great for the bodies you mentioned. The Anchor with the neck pad does add a bit more support but I think I’d reach for the minimal for those size bodies, especially if a smaller footprint setup was the goal! 😀

      @@CleverSupplyCo now I didn‘t expect the man himself to reply, wow thanks a lot for coming back to me! Very much appreciated. Yes I want to keep my stuff as compact as possible. Never say never but my XP1 with the 35/1.4 & hood is as big as I feel comfy. Portability and compactness is key for me. That is why my X100T gets a rivival lately, after shooting the XP1 for a few weeks, I had an urge to go back to the lovely X100T. Something about the simplicity and limitation of one lens one camera.
      Talking lenses, on insta I see you have the XP2 with the fujicrons. One thing I debate is whether to go fujicrons....they give the XP1 a right kick up the bum for AF speed and they also look the part. But the combo 18/2 & 35/1.4 is great and still compact.
      Cheers from Switzerland, take care and stay safe. Will most likely place an order next week 👍🏻, nothing beats a small business run by friendly people who are passionate about their work 👏🏻

      @@michel559 I use them on everything from film point and shoots to my Leica M10s and Hasselblad 500cm and they’re great. The peak design hardware is slightly more bulky than I’d prefer but other than that, it’s by far the best single camera option I’ve found.

  • @stevepatrick5818
    @stevepatrick5818 3 года назад +2

    For those who think the bag is larger than they desire, there is the smaller F-5XB. It would be more suitable for a compact camera and two lenses. The build quality and color are identical.
    BHT, keep up the excellent work. It is much appreciated.

      Yes good tip, the F5's are great. I've had them before, closer to a ONA bag size. Plus I packed the bag out, but if you put half the amount of stuff in it, the bag does naturally shrink since it's waxed canvas and has a 'stiffness' to it, especially by not using the front pockets and the two pockets on the top flap.

    Love my rugged wear Domke F2. Perfect size to put under airplane seats, grippy strap, and easy to access and find everything inside. It can fit a lot of stuff when needed, but shrinks down when necessary by removing the board in the base. Perhaps the most versatile camera bag there is, because it's easy to remove all the padding.

    I’ve been using two Dome F-803’s for 5 years now: one for camera gear the other EDC. As a camera bag it can carry two Sony FF mirrorless bodies with 3-4 manual focus lenses. For EDC, it’s the perfect size for an iPad Pro 12.9” and I can slip one of my Sony FF cameras with a Leica lens sideways into one of the front pockets. When you don’t over stuff it, the bag looks quite discreet...no one will think you’re a photographer.
