Upstead is one of the best written ships in this One Chicago franchise. I am glad Jay confirmed what we as fans have known all along about how much he's loved Hailey. You could tell Jay had feelings for Hailey seasons ago so it comes as no surprise he sees a future with her. I love that he proposed because he is an old fashioned guy wanting to get down on one knee for the woman he loves. Jay and Hailey are proving they can weather this storm together, they are not going to give up on each other. It makes you want to root even harder for them.
A perfect moment to capture their mutual respect. Love these two actors and characters. Pd is by far my favorite of the 3 hours every Wednesday and that’s a credit to the excellent cast and characters they portray.

And I can’t believe it finally happened. 🥺 I wish I could like this video 55055 or 51163 times. But even that wouldn’t be enough. Everything about this was perfect. They truly did get engaged doing ‘their thing that works’. Yup, still crying about that two months later. Their entire love story is just one of the most beautiful and realistic relationships I have ever seen on television. I love them so much!!! And I love how much these two love each other. They don’t need a lot (as this proposal proves) they just need each other. And now they’re gonna be together forever. I’m so happy I could cry. They’re truly gonna be partners in every sense of the word. Work partners and most importantly life partners.
