What’s up guys and gals, I’m Kage848. I love to make videos for RUclips, mostly early access survival games like 7 Days to Die, Empyrion, Raft, Mist Survival, The Forest, and more! I also dabble in City Builders and strategy games like Civilization 5, Civilization 6, Dawn of Man, Stonehearth, Factorio and Rim World. It's crazy that this game is being made by former dead matter devs. This is what passion vs greed is like.

@@EpicConspiracy And???? Where is it??? Dead that's where.... So because the devs are so inept at making a game they are now stealing ideas from a game they will never be able to live up to. Project Zomboid will be around long after "Vein" has died and faded away.

Thank you for being even vaguely aware, that there are people who would really like to pause to read the stuff on screen. The fact that you actually took a moment to slowly scroll, then pause, scroll again - 5000 IQ moment.
it really is the little things sometimes isnt it.. the self awareness is a big thing that lacks in this world in general haha, glad there are some that still possess this!
KAGE......almost everything you can do in real life, you can do in this game......use detergent and wash and dry your clothes....
Use different pots and pans to make food.....try to pick a place that has as much as possible to use....furniture, garage, kitchen
Washer dryer, storage, and then Fortify the place......nearly everything is useful !!!
But no pooping. Even Ark had that.
Maybe you should post the game you seem to know what you're doing thanks
The inventory system sucks though, even in HumanitZ clothes have pockets and you don't have access to more inventory without a bag or backpack.
Man I struggle to do that in real life why would I do it in game haha
What I really like about this game, is the Devs are actively bringing us through the process with updates, and actually express and show that they DO care.
Always tune into their dev updates.
The game tells you if you've looted something in the header with the loot container name. If there is a check mark beside the name, you searched it before and left something inside. If it has a dotted square, the container is empty.
The loot goblin in me wants to see more!! Really cool all the combinations and stuff available in the world
Hi Kage, me again. The mood debuff is due to not sleeping. You will become stressed and have other ailments if not treated.
Storage. You build a utility cabinet and when you place it, items placed in that building will keep/store as long as you keep up maintenance costs on the utility cabinet

I'm playing the demo now, and will literally sink hundreds of hours into this one and will buy it on day one.
I REALLY wanted to like Project Zomboid, but the third person control always felt janky to me. This is the FPS zombie survival craft game I've been waiting for for a LONG time.
Be careful paying for the game I learned from their last one dead matter I bought into it when they first started developing it then they abandoned it where it's unplayable and nothing like they promised garbage and it was just like this they did good marketing and convinced a lot of us. It would be cool if this actually works out but I don't have high hopes for these devs.
On Steam, the Demo is free as they're wanting feedback... Respect to the dev's.

Everyone needs to run it on the Direct x 11 mode...the original mode has so many graphics issues..like trees being transparent and buggy looking. DX11 FTW, now my game looks fantastic!! Hoooorah!!!

12:45 if this game is anything like zomboid, a gun is the last thing you want to have to use against a zombie. Now if youre modded out to shit and have M60s with tons of ammo its a different story.
The names of the containers show a check mark next to them indicating they have been looted

The problem with this game is that it will never be able to display as many zombies on screen as Project Zomboid
Maybe I'm just crazy, but before Zomboid went full 3d for all models,(B40 and below) zombie hoards used to be 5x bigger at the very least. Just not the thing to be bragging about when B41 chugs big time under duress and had to tone down pop size for performance.

Depends on the engine really. Zomboid is written in Java which has an inherent overhead to it even though the graphics might be simpler
Java really isn't that much slower than C++ for most things. The real overhead with Java comes from its memory footprint and the unpredictability of the garbage collector (meaning you have to be careful with object creation in the game loop).
@@comradekenobi8146 game dev (/real time applications in general) do not have a comparable performance profile to the "most things" you're talking about here

The more noise you make the more zombies you draw to you, hence the shotgun draws more zombies

first off dont eat food thats moldy it will make you sick seen others do that ;) next the butter knifes forks etc can be used to attach to spears for example, its a really cool game Kage so looking forward to seing you explore it some more, havent seen anyone lose stuff they put in boxes/containers yet :) but you need to make a utility cabinet once you choose a house for a base otherwise it isnt really yours and doors can lock on you when u leave and zombies can spawn in there ;) you can also build better protection over doors and windows fyi ;) EDIT: totally forgot take every food item you find thats not bad cause cooking the food will always be a 1000% better then just eating it on its own there are soooo many recipes on the stove :) good luck surviving ;)

With over 2500 hours in Zomboid this game looks like it's right up my alley. I love the fact that it's graphics are not that intense and can likely run on a potato..i hate that games these days are making everything so that I need to take out a second mortgage to get a decent vid card..
Don't try to game on a laptop and you'll be fine.
@@spankyjeffro5320 lol i9 with 2080 that I spent way too much for runs stuff pretty well so far. Been wanting to upgrade to a 40series but can't justify +$1000 cost of some of these cards.

Great video and a great game with a lot of potential. Definitely has some bugs (be careful climbing ladders and remember there is no unstuck button). I’ve played it just a bit and so far over multiple days my items have persisted in in-game storage. Also, make sure you check the contents and give it a smell to be sure there weren’t bad things in it before. Love your videos and really hoping you make a series out of this!!!
This looks great so far.
It would be cool of they made it able to use the same mods as PZ, so you could turn this into the modded game you actually want. The game consoles, and thousands of other props/assets that were added to PZ, and the better lock picking and better mechanics for the vehicles, and the many other vehicles as well, etc... TONS of mods make PZ the awesome game that is, which the base game alone is very lacking in comparison, and would get boring very quickly... In fact, I did play the base game, and I did get bored of it after a couple of days, where as with all of the mods added, and more to add here and there when they get released, it makes the game fun and more fresh again after taking a break from it.
On thing that made PZ awesome, was the size of the map. So hopefully these devs are able to mimic that map size as well, otherwise there goes a big part of what makes PZ so awesome!
Bro, this game could be MASSIVE with legit base building (quality system i mean) and re worked npc/zombies and maybe a brush up of the combat...PLEASE DEVS!!!
My dream game is deep rock galactic in terraria pre-hardmode (wall of flesh). Being outside and having wings would ruin it..,much like it does in the actual game.

the batteries you picked up can be used for the flashlight as well for the cellphone im playing the demo as well and i found out its working for both :)
I haven’t had any problems storing things in existing furniture and there seems to be no storage limit. I think the lack of kitchen sink in that house is a bug. Also, you need to carry tools to dismantle and open things.

There’s a little tick top left of the info tab when you’ve looted. Also, a square dotted box if looted but nothing is in there.
"Destroy" on the toilet should make you go to browntown! That would be hilarious

Thank you for playing this; its giving me tips too I'm kinda surprised that I've passed over 1 dozen vehicles and not a single Car Key at all :( I've came across over 2 Dozen ID cards though lol

Would deffs like to see more, didnt see much in episode 1 because you have to build yourself up. You didnt open your packages during the night either

Can you search inside vehicles (center console, glove box, sun visor) for the keys?
I’m pretty sure when I tested out the game I was able to fill the tub by looking at the faucet specifically, It seems some items are like that, like the stove? I may be wrong but I think you were just not looking at the stovetop and instead the looking at the oven which only gives the destroy option. hope this helps

For guns u need to reload manually and u can use inroom lights no problem except night and no noises it can attract hoard
And u have manual building in the menu

I like to imagine it's just some guy doing a voice over on a video, making it seem as if he's playing. This feels like a simulator game. Not as scary as Project Zomboid. This is the more optimized version of Project Zomboid. Indie Stone takes forever to develop their game.
