She seems like a predator, honestly. Isolating and financially abusing men before they’re old enough to drink, making them reliant on her for housing, lying to mutual friends…what a monster.
Edit: Didn't realize there was so much contention about the age difference. For those of you in healthy age gap relationships, I am truly happy for you and I am glad that you've been able to navigate those unique challenges. Your relationship and your experiences are your own, and other people having different experiences than yours doesn't invalidate it.
Having said that, I think it is important to note that Blair specifically made use of the power dynamic in her (romantic and platonic) relationships with Oz and Wonder. Both men explicitly say that because she was more experienced and successful than them, they went along with her advice and wishes. They thought she knew better, and she acted like she did, so they trusted her. That kind of dynamic isn't unique to age-gap relationships, her being their boss is also yikes, but she seemed to specifically prey on men that were insecure, inexperienced, and unable to discern if what she was doing was normal for a boss or romantic partner.
At the end of the day, people can have healthy relationships with older partners and some people can even have healthy relationships with their bosses/more experienced coworkers. This is not either of those cases. This was emotional and financial abuse, plain and simple.

I'm sad and alone but I'm.alive and rebuilding. For me it took 30+ years to break through the bullshit I was convinced was real.
Talk to the men in your life. Listen. Don't judge. Don't accuse. Don't believe the media when they talk about domestic abuse. 1/3 of dv victims are male, and that only represents those men who were able to get justice and could talk about it. Often we are laughed at by cops and mates.
Female dv victims almost always walk away, if they die it's a front page newspaper article for months. Male dv victims often get killed and it's a tiny article in the back of the newspaper with buzzword headlines like "male mortally wounded in argument with domestic partner" (vs woman murdered by husband in domestic violence incident)
When you've been through it as a man the reporting and attitudes towards it are flat out disgusting and soul crushing.

I'm more concerned about the power imbalance between an employee and an employer, as you've said. I do believe, as you've said, that people can make it work. I also don't think a 20 year old dating a 28 year old is egregious.
It's definitely getting there, but the age gap itself isn't the problem here, but rather an employer dating an employee. The fact that she's older just makes this worse, as she would have 8 more reasons (years) to know that an employer/employee relationship is wrong, but did it anyway.

I think the biggest reason for why Blair has yet to go further after Click and One Topic is that neither of them live in America. @jasper_is_tired_4204 I definitely appreciate that! Unfortunately, due to being left with nothing and being in a really awful situation where I was able to find work but no childcare and then once I found work I no longer qualified for the childcare through the state, we ended up losing our housing and are now living with a friend of mine. I was very fortunate to have somewhere to go, but this situation is pretty common right now with the housing crisis being what it is in my area. Friggin studios going for $1300 or more unless you want to live in the middle of nowhere, but the average wages are around $13/hr for entry level. It's a better situation overall though because now I have somewhere to kind of get my feet back under me, save up some money and find a place we can actually afford that isn't a total shithole. Fingers crossed. I'm hoping to be back on my own again by January. But the area we ended up in, the schools are better and it's a smaller town in general with a huge migrant population similar to the one I grew up in. So overall, it's a better situation.

I have some younger friends but even with them I can't but always have the age difference at the back of my mind when talking with them. I don't want to influence my friends in any negative way by accident. I mostly focus on being that older friend who supports and advices them when they ask me to.
I also have couple older friends, who have played a similar role in our friendship when I was younger. Being a positive, supporting, encouraging and understanding sibling figure.

@@clownbag Very much so. I don't want to in any way claim that he isn't an independent adult that has control over their own actions (not saying that you did btw, just adding), but the difference in life experience is huge at this age. Young people can be manipulated to do bad things for their abuser, because they don't know themself that well yet, or even understand the consequences completely (we have to remember that brain develops AT LEAST until age 25, longer at some cases, and it's especially emotional intelligence and sense of consequences and self-control that develop last. Abuse, any kind, usually makes that development take longer, even though often abused people seem very mature because they have life experience).
Like, I just don't get it. What is there in common? Especially if you're in an environment where you know each others ages from the start. How isn't she afraid she's going to hurt him, even affect his development very negatively. It can have life long consequences. And her brain is definitely old enough to understand those.

It’s really twisted that she did this in a romantic sense but to do it also as an abusive employer is despicable. I personally liked working for smaller business owners and I only realized how much of my potential was being used much more for their gain and not my own ever since I began freelancing. To me its not a strong defense. Time and time again people who are extremely against something are shown to do the same thing. For example a ton of anti-lgbt politicians get exposed that they're having same sex relationships. A partner suddenly starts being extremely suspicious that you're cheating, then it turns out they're the ones that are cheating. They're projecting. At this point, the cult following won't be enough to sustain a full-time RUclips career. She might still have over a million subscribers... but her view count for a channel her size is ABYSMAL. Like, she hasn't had a video hit 50k in MONTHS at this point.

To be honest, one of her biggest mistakes was to surround herself with an audience that liked to see scammers and bad people exposed and brought to justice.

I think another reason Blair would go after Oz and Wonder but not Click or OT legally is that Oz and Wonder are American like her while Click is Swedish and OT is Canadian. I imagine suing someone in another country would be significantly more difficult

I can't speak for the ins and outs of it, but she's using more... criminal accusations against them (with what she's saying with it being child SA). That's an immediate layer of difficulty as you can't just grab them into court.
