Awesome mate, for an Aussie in the Philippines last 12 years it's awesome to revisit my hometown sites and hope one-day to return and feel the emotion of riding again in my own backyard. Cheers mate
Agnes Bank to Springwood, is a great climb - to the south there is the Royal national park ( used in the Syd to Wol challenge) the Stanwell climb - further afield is the Buli pass and Kangaroo valley climbs, Robertson climb from Albion Park - if doing 3 peaks training those are longer than the gorges or Mt White for sure.
I am keen to get out to Springwood, had a lot of people recommend it. I did RNP which is amazing (did a video for it too). I will checkout some of these routes you suggested.
Bowen and Springwood were both on my honourable mentions list. Need to check them out!. Where is Bell Bird and Old Bathurst? Do they meet the criteria?
@@ModerateCyclist old Bathurst rd is close to Penrith runs up toward Springwood. It is maybe a bit short like 3ish km but has about 9% average. Bell Bird is other side of Richmond runs up past Kurrajong toward Bilpin. Depends on the segment you pick about 13k at 4.5%. (A few proper pinches on the way)
North Sydney's best climbs. Try heading south west & trying New razorback, old razorback, Wedderburn gorge, or any of the climbs up to burragorang lookout
Thanks for the suggestions. I had Razorback on my honourable mentions list. Not sure Wedderburn is steep enough, but Burragorang sneaks in. I have a buddy in Wilton, might have to launch an assault from his place.
A great selection matey! As a Melbourne-ite who grew up in Lindfield, these are my go-tos when I’m visiting the folks. As an aside, follower of @loudkitday’s channel, and that’s the first time ins seen more than his face! Muscly forearmed bugger! Enjoy 👏
Oh right, fresh. I got the impression it had been a while. Should be back in action soon then 🤙. Plenty of carnage around from the storms. Kuringai was a mess today.
Obviously not Sydney but go the extra distance past Calga & hit Bumble at Yarramalong. It can’t be “that” if I a 110km heavy weight like me can do it. Cenny Coast’s version of WTF corner!
I have been waiting to this comment 😜. I haven't done them. But I understand the main ones are variation of Garie Hill right? There is also one in Penrith and one in Camden that make the honourable mentions list.

Glad to have provided a trip down memory lane. How is the riding in the Philippines?
*North Sydney’s Top 10 Road Cycling Climbs. Try going south of Central Station, and west of Pyrmont some time. There’s a lot of Sydney out there. :)
I am guilty of a little bias, but check out my latest where I hit up RNP. Got Hawkesbury on the list next. But a lot of them don’t make the criteria.

Those landscapes are so beautiful, and there's no traffic at all! Great for riding! Ride on
It really is a beautiful part of the world. Most are in national parks, which cars have to pay to enter.
You should head a tad further west to try out some good ones. Bowen Mtn, Bell bird, Springwood, Old Bathurst Rd.

Thanks mate, haha 😜. He lives up to the Loud Kit name.
Agree with your climbs on the Northside, simply the best….one for out west (upper Blue Mts) Megalong 4.25ks, avg 6.4%
Super keen to ride the Blue Mountains. Am going to start stacking up some adventures to hit all these great suggestions.
Megalong is closed at the moment with landslips taking out the road
@@DavidJohnson-he3jh how long has it been closed for?
@@ModerateCyclist that would be Friday night storms.

Wow that is a nice little hill Lofty. Almost 4km and over 8%! Might have to make a trip out of Sydney for that one www.strava.com/segments/633814
@@ModerateCyclist it’s definitely character building. I’m getting my mojo back…I’ll attempt it again in the winter.
Its a brute. Straight up and no rest. Also just down the road is Cedar Brush which is long but gravel.@@ModerateCyclist

Berowra Waters is 2.5k.
Which side? Both popular Strava segments have them well over 3?
Berowra down to Berowra Waters. Basically from the top to the ferries.
I think the climb goes further. I might update the description to include links to my reference segments.
Rode through the Gorge today. Man, it was amazing! 🙏
