I love a challenge, but that much across 4 weeks would put me in a massive deficit for an event. And that’s someone who has done the Marmotte doing top 10% the last 3 years. Maybe you can absorb training better than me, but I wonder if this plan will put you in a hole. Best of luck though, and thanks for the good content. I’m subscribing just to see if you survive!!!
I think that is a fair concern. In my case I am not increasing my weekly load too much (other than having had an extended break over the holiday period). But let’s see how I go after ripping into some of the longer planned efforts 🤞. Will definitely have some update videos and of course one for the event.
Should be a walk in the park with all that prep. I did 12.45 in 2015 aged 47, on the back of a couple of rides a week around 80km. Negligible climbing as there werent any near where i lived. I spent too long at the rest stops and towards the end i was walking when it went over 6 percent. My mates that actually prepared all did well under 10. Get yourself close to the front for the start. The descent into Bright is hectic. Good luck
Thanks mate, appreciate the positive reinforcement. It's getting close now, getting excited. Those FTP Pyramids weren't the wake up call I was hoping for this morning 😜.
