All came out beautiful. I have subscribed to your page so I can easily come back to it if I run into trouble. Thank you again dear. :)
Thank you for this informative tutorial. I recently bought a floor model Bosch 500 from Home Depot, which didn't come with a manual. I didn't even know about the adjustable shelves!
Great video! We just installed my Bosch. I like it so far but will need to get used to a few things, unless I didn't set something up right or possibly a setting I can change? ... 1) My door shuts automatically unless the bottom drawer is rolled out 2) I don't see the time remaining displayed anywhere
Thank you for the video, much easier to understand some features! Also want to mention that the latest 500 series now needs Wi-Fi to work with the HomeConnect app to adjust the Dryness degree. The default ’Auto’ setting does not really make things ‘extra’ dry, probably because it would require higher temperature. Some other differences I noticed is it now comes with touch surface instead of real clickable buttons. Also it uses some light dots to indicate the rough remaining time like more or less than 2 hrs instead of the digital number display like this video. People want to buy the 500 series dishwasher need to check the official website for the latest info. Anyway I think it’s an improvement imo. And I believe all the functional settings mentioned in this video still exist in the last model.
Wow that is a lot of changes from the model I have. That's crazy to me they force you to use the app. Not everyone knows how to use an app on their phone, and not everyone has a smart phone.
@@pennymodern From what i understand, the app allows setup choices that the buttons alone do not. Once set, it runs these choices every time. You still start and run as you did before if you want to.
Great video thank you my Bosch 500 is coming tomorrow so this was very helpful Have a ? It runs for 2 hours seems like a long time unless you use the 30 min
Congrats on getting a Bosch! They are so quiet you will love it! Yes most of the cycles are 2 hours or more. But the "Clean 30" cycle is only 30 minutes. I use the 2 hour one (auto) after we are done w/ dinner and just let it run, and then empty it in the morning. It's so quiet it doesn't bother anyone when we go to sleep. Did that help?
This may be a dumb question... but here it goes... Should the detergent and the Rinse Aid be placed in at the same time and is there a type of detergent to STAY AWAY FROM? Thanks! Great video!!
You would put the rinse aid in the rinse aid dispenser. Then with each load put the detergent into the detergent dispenser. So yes both at same time in their respective spots. I love Cascade Platinum packs! Thank you for watching!
@@pennymodernme too. I’ve been seeing some stuff recently that says Bosch recommends Finish products but in my experience Cascade Platinum cleaning power is far superior to the Finish packs 🤷♀️

The Bosch website says it’s best to use tablets or dry powder detergent. See article here: www.bosch-home.com/us/experience-bosch/tips-and-tricks/all-articles/choosing-the-best-detergent#/Togglebox=6508185-12208127-3/Togglebox=6508185-12208127-2/
I always use the Auto button, and always use rinse aid in the dispenser. The troubleshooting guide says if dishes are not getting dry enough to use rinse aid. You also can call Bosch customer service at 1-800-944-2904.
How do you tell if you ran the Bosch dishwasher the night before without needing to examine the dishes to see if they look completely clean? Is there a message that lights up indicating "complete" or "finished". In the morning if I don't remember if I ran the dishwasher the night before the white light being off does not tell me that the dishwashing cycle ran to completion or if I just forgot to run the dishwasher.
Mine has a light that goes off that says clean. So when you open the door for the first time after cleaning it, that little light shows up in the display that says clean. I also bought a little clean/dirty magnet to put on the outside from Amazon. Link here: a.co/d/09W5GLda

Nice little video, I'm waiting for delivery. What about the Finish detergent? is that a must? I read that some people are doing fine with other brands, and Sams is highly rated by Consumers.
Finish with Powerball tabs are great and is what Bosch recommends but you can absolutely use any brand that you want, including gels or powders if you want. The amount of powder you need to use is in the manual, if you choose to use powder…Also use the Finish Jet Dry rinse aid to help with drying.
My bosch lately is getting hard to start. I have to play with the buttons to get it to start. Seeing how much I paid, I would buy another brand in the future.
Hi has anyone got any information on how to get the door to open after its done , mine says it has the option but it won’t open i can’t figure that out
My Thermador dishwasher is 15 years old and works fine but the gasket gets out of place after I use dishwasher and I have to take a piece of wood and a mallet and whack it into place. Dishwasher does not leak. This happened infrequently for past 6 years but now it happens every time I run dishwasher. I thought I would need to replace gasket but why? Because there is no leak. What is the life span of a dishwasher? I am thinking I should just buy a new dishwasher. Bosch comes highly recomended.
That sounds like a lot of work. You may want to call a repair company they maybe can order and install a new gasket? I had a really old dishwasher in my old house and the guy was able to order some of the basic parts and was able to get in working pretty good until I had $ to replace it.
I just purchased a Bosch 500 and the top display doesn't have an on/off button, it's very confusing. Plus the door is ajar about 5" and looks sloppy instead of being able to push it to almost shut.
Just open the door. Add the dish or glass. Hit the start button on the right hand side of buttons. Close the door again immediately within 4 seconds and the wash cycle continues where it was when you interrupted it.
I hope you figured it out. I came to this video feeling stupid what they don't tell you in the manual is you have to hit play and then shut the door side note you're not supposed to use the little tab soap use liquid or powder
I know this comment is a bit old, but I figured I'd post this in case you're still having trouble - you have to turn on the Crystal Dry for the 800. It's not available for the shorter cycles, which is annoying, but we mostly run it overnight. Once we turned it on with the eco or auto cycle, it's been drying everything really well.
I read that all the Bosch models 100 to 800 all have the same internals. The difference is some control panel features and extra soundproofing. And front handle vs. top handle. I have a 100 Plus, 48 db. You cannot hear it, so there is no benefit to paying another $400-$500 for another few db of silence. Clearing that filter daily just makes good sense…To me anyway 😂😂…Outstanding video!!
