I looked at several Bosh installation videos, but this is my favorite. Down to Earth with a lot of frustrations I encountered. I love your attitude. just "git 'er done!"
Thanks for helping a 56-year-old home owning woman get her new dishwasher installed. There was no room for install fees in the budget. You definitely saved my sanity on those $?&@#!% feet! Cheers to you, Buddy!
You are da shit and helping people, THANK YOU!!! Saved me $200 on install fee. It's a cumbersome appliance but not a hard DIY for a homeowner thanks to this vid. I was trouble-shooting my 13yr old Bosch so I played around with connections which made me think, "there is not many connections down here...power, water in & water out" Then I watched your video to confirm I could do the install and ta-da!!! done-zo.
Well stated! I almost hired a 'professional' (that woulda cost me another $200+) - but after uninstalling the old Kenmore, and noticing the ready-to-go connections, it was easy-peasy to just do it myself. Like you, I almost let loose the line box, but decided to mount it in case of flooding. I dispensed with the beer, but enjoyed a couple bourbons after the Bosch went through a cycle (read: it worked!)
You should have included that you have to purchase that brass elbow with the 3/4 fitting to attach to the dishwasher to hook up the 3/8 inch water line. Bosch does not include that adapter for some reason. You can purchase that 3/4 to 3/8 adapter at Lowes or Home Depot. To adjust those feet wait to put on those two brackets for the toe panel and you will have more room. The electric junction box should be mounted to the wall and make sure you do not mount it behind the dishwasher as 99 times out of 100 there is not enough room to push the dishwasher all the way into the hole. Bosch says to mount the junction box to the other side of the side wall away from the dishwasher. In your case you have a lot of extra room to have mounted the box on the wall to the right of the dishwasher. Just some tips to make it easier for others.
This was incredibly helpful! Sadly in my install I got everything set up, then realized the entire bottom hinge assembly/door was smashed in during transit... Was so focused on getting it hooked up and installed I didn't even notice the door didn't open/shut
I was identifying and at the same time crapping myself as you were dropping the F-bombs and going through the emotional ups and downs of the typical DIY'er....very entertaining video .
Entertaining installation video! Hey, just take the weight off the front feet to easily adjust them. Maybe a wooden wedge under the front bottom lip if you can’t wedge it up with one hand or fist while spinning the feet out with the screwdriver. Then remove the wedge when you have it close to where you want it. Bet that would take some of the swearing out of the process.
Thanks for tips and vid but didn't understand your pro tip.. How are you supposed to adjust the feet before putting in place? How would you know the exact height and level as each surface and floor can be slightly different. I think pro tip would be just to use a wrench 17 and that it sucks but necessary step of the install.
It actually is pretty simple, if you lift the weight off the levelling feet before you adjust them, in place. It works with every make and model. A torpedo level works with that also…
I have a used Bosch I’m replacing my very old dishwasher with. The replacement Bosch has controls similar to yours. It appears the counter impedes the use of the controls. Is there a work-around needed to accommodate the push button controls on the top of the door?
So there was a part of the video that never recorded. It was a layout of everything that you get. Long story short. Everything you see in the video did come with it, but I cant fully remember if the wiring stuff was sold as a separate kit or not. Cheers!
What a pain in the @$$ the water inlet was (not sure if you had the same problem). Since it's plastic I was concerned with it cracking. I ended up popping it reticular plastic cover holding the connector out so I had a better change of getting teflon tape around it, and then carefully securing the elbow brace. Why couldn't they just expose a 3/8 brass connection? After securing under my countertop, I then noticed some extra instructions regarding stress relief brackets for the corners. NOPE. Not gonna happen after I just drilled new holes in my cabinets to hold it where it is nice and tight now. Plus you didn't use them either so I should be good right (LOL).
Doing this install today. Best no bs vid I’ve found so far. Is it clockwise to raise both feet? Or clockwise for right, counter for left? Also any idea how to tighten the top up with granite countertop? I assume I can’t use the brackets included
loosen the front feet a bit when you can have the unit up in the air. Its a huge pain to turn them when they are on the ground. They go clockwise from what i remember. cheers!
Don't forget to turn the water on like me...started watching this after i finished to make sure i didnt forget anything and was like oh shit...thats why its so damn quiet...ran it for like 5min. Hopefully i didn't screw up the pump 🤦.
Man fuck those feet... That was the most annoying part of the job. I just ended up having my wife push it back while I unscrewed them. I'm glad someone shared my frustrations! Whoa nice Pulsar! That was a pretty sweet surprise!
Probably not a good idea to just toss the junction box and wiring in the back and push the washer in. If a leak occures, the junction box is not protected. An electrician would mount it correctly.
Just bought the exact same dishwasher so it was good to see what someone else went through although it was pretty straightforward. Didn't need the pointless cussing that's kind of immature
It is so hard listening to an ADDerr talking and working at the same time....espeially when trying to keep a thought pattern going and oh yea, let's have a beer or two while rambling along.....oh and a few f bombs along the way..WHY?
Not Family-friendly. If you were both my kids would be at my side as I go through the same steps, so they don't end up oxygen-thieving snowflakes, in their safe space staring at a dishwasher in a box, rocking back and forth with their fidget spinners whirring wildly.
I love this guy. He speaks like most people do when trying to follow instructions.

Best diy video I have ever seen. Captured my feelings of me renovating a house for the last 3 years.
The best video I've ever seen for installing dishwashers
Omg you saved us with the part about leveling. We were so frustrated. THANK YOU!
It was a bad video for me but glad you got something out of it! cheers!
Thank you for this video. I was able to install my dishwasher today because of it. It’s gratifying completing a task you didn’t think you could do!
You were very correct about the balancing feet. The wrench tip was a game changer!

Great probably the funniest yet more relatable dishwasher installation out there. Cheers brother.
Cheers!

Thanks, I hope you had another few beers. I will be doing this Friday.

The struggle was real! Install looks good man!
Sound like Zach Galafinakis, thanks for helping me with the install :)
This tutorial is epic; Sam Kinison helping me install a dishwasher!!
Brother, love your style and your rating system. Cheers.
Thank you sir! Cheers!
first time I ever heard garburetor lol. I love it man
a
Great Video! Love it
It was a bit of a mess but I appreciate the comment! Cheers!

Thank you for showing off some mistakes I would make, now I have better chance not to make them.
My hardwire connection from my wall doesnt have the greenwire/groundwire isnt there. Whats a good solution?
I'm glad I'm not the only one who found the bottom feet risers infuriating. ...and that I wasn't the only one who swore a ton because of it.
Tweaker would love that copper line
That is a cool kitchen layout

You set them before closing the door.
@@Ryan-re1rs yep figured that out. Luv the Bosch!
Did it come with the electrical plug to go into wall and you had to buy the junction box, or did it come with neither?
So there was a part of the video that never recorded. It was a layout of everything that you get. Long story short. Everything you see in the video did come with it, but I cant fully remember if the wiring stuff was sold as a separate kit or not. Cheers!
"It's fucking bullshit".... I love this
Helpful video, that being said, cocaine is a helluva drug!

2 beers and Flip flop install 😂😂
Hell ya!
Just watching the video i need it to show some love 😂😂
Much appreciated! Cheers!

i used the brackets and used them at the side into the cabinets. it worked out well
Felt your pain with those got damn feet lol
I hit like for the pro tip
To adjust the feet, please raise the unit up slightly. It will be much easier.
Don't forget to turn the water on like me...started watching this after i finished to make sure i didnt forget anything and was like oh shit...thats why its so damn quiet...ran it for like 5min. Hopefully i didn't screw up the pump 🤦.

😂😂😂😂
Definitely more than 2 beers!
Funny bro.. thanks for the tip…
Beers with electricity ... what could go wrong
How did you know which wire to put in L N or G?
In typical home wiring (L)oad is black, (N)eutral is white, and (G)round is bare copper
Probably not a good idea to just toss the junction box and wiring in the back and push the washer in. If a leak occures, the junction box is not protected. An electrician would mount it correctly.
A compression fitting shouldn't have Teflon tape on it.
LNG = LOAD / Neutral / Ground😉

Other than the excessive and completely unnecessary foul language, not too bad a video.
Here is a video showing how the feet are raised and lowered. Link: ruclips.net/video/vDYCE-Os2RM/видео.html
Haha, the only reason I'm here is because of the feet. Terrible instructions...
Cheers!

Lol, I do it for the RUclips money! I was pretty hung over that day to add to the chaos.

Thnx for the welcomed foul language tutorial!! Ching ching!
