Hello, yeah it was a sign of the times. This was probably a 70s ex drag car. It seems like those Maverick grabbers were just made to drag race. They were a good looking little body. Thanks for your comments please subscribe.👌✌️
Man I was just up in Anderson a couple of weeks ago mixing live sound for The Chairmen of the Board. I would have loved to swung by and checked out that “vintage car repository”. Love it. Love it. Love it. My first car was a 1971 Torino 500, then another as a parts car, then a 1968 Country Squire, my favorite car ever, then a 1967 LTD 2 door hardtop, then a 4 door hardtop to harvest it’s 390. I love 1960-1971 American cars, all makes, all models. Big thanks. Keep it up.
Hello Terry, thanks for the scoop on that car 😳 No doubt that could be a really nice little drag car pretty low budget 👍 thanks for your comments on this please subscribe thank you so much👌✌️
Hello Mike, yes sir, that is the scoop. I had a 72 Camaro with one it was large and in charge it always commanded detention on the street. You had to look around it to see where you’re going, but it was super cool. Thanks for your memories please subscribe thank you.👍😎
Hello super cool was it a grabber 302 nothing like a good street strip car on the road setting up and do a clone gap & Roush car from what I’m seeing clone drag cars are bringing some big money get a picture of the car you want clown I tell you they’re bringing big money at auction plus you can bring an old drag car memory back to life just a thought I want to do to build number one is a grumpy Camaro Bill Jenkins but the car really wanna build a Sox & Martin 70 Hemi Cuda searching for body and motor now good luck on your project. Let me know what your thoughts are 👌😎 thank you for being on my RUclips channel please subscribe thank you👍👌
Hello Kim, well that’s super cool. Whole family of Mavericks. You gotta love it. They were perfect little drag cars. Don’t see too many around anymore either. Thanks for your comments and being on my RUclips channel please subscribe thank you. 👌😎
Hello yeah me too. It brought me back to the 70s when those were prevalent. They had a hardwood scoop. They looked really cool on the street too. I had one on second GEN Camaro. I had they just something about looking around a big scoop thanks for being on my RUclips channel please subscribe appreciate you ✌️
@@MUSCLECARCORNER427 😆😆😆I knew a dude back home put an FE 428 SCJ in a Mav. Of course, he had to cut out the shock-towers. This was back in the 80s so... He got it done. But he said he'd never try a stupid stunt like that again. Now it's a piece of cake.
Hello, I believe you are right, sir. I had one on a second GEN Camaro back in the 70s. I loved it. Thanks for your comments please subscribe thank you. 👍😎
Hello Roy it may be a hardwood. I believe it kind of at first glance look like a homemade scoop but could be wrong. I had a second GEN Camaro street strip drag car that we ran a big scoop like that on and it was obnoxious, but it was super cool on the street. thanks for being on my RUclips channel please subscribe thank you.👍✌️
@MUSCLECARCORNER427 will do, and thanks for responding. Seems like nobody ever does that anymore and I've seriously been wondering if I'm shadowbanned. Lol
Shame they ruined a Grabber hood with a snorkel scoop. Great car though, I love Mavericks and Comets from those years.

I don't think that's a homemade scoop. I could be wrong, but it looks like a few of them I had back in the day.
